The food is a little more Tex-Mex than Mexican, and the spicy dishes are not very spicy at all. Still, the flavors come through, the portions are great for what you pay, and the customer service is awesome! Due to covid, you can get basically the whole menus to go- they even include MARGARITAS. Nothing beats coming home from a long day at work and knowing Chuys is on the table with a delicious margarita! If you like great Tex Mex food and great service come to this place! I just moved here from California/Nevada and I gotta say this was one of the best experiences so far. Our waiter Dalton was super funny and was great with his customer service skills. I told him I was allergic to blackberries ( I was getting a margarita) and he was very accommodating to that. We ordered our food and drinks which came very quickly. Dalton was very quick, flexible, and accommodating to our table! He did such an incredible job and I would highly recommend coming here and asking for him! He's a friendly waiter that gets to know his customers to makes sure they leave satisfied! When dalton was busy Conner another waiter also made sure we were taken care of even though we were not a part of his area. Conner was helpful and very accommodating as well. We have finally tried this Chuy's in College Station. I had been reluctant because of the hit and miss review on Yelp. But they have gotten several 4 and 5 star reviews lately. We had not really found any other Mexican restaurant in Bryan College Station that kept our interest. We went this past Wednesday night to Chuys and everything was very good. The server, Alleah, did a spectacular job and has a great personality as she was providing excellent service. She also told us about the green jalapeno sauce for the chips. Be sure to ask for it. Both dinners were good. My wife got the quesadillas and I got the enchilada / taco combo that is currently "off the menu." We will be going back to Chuy's soon read more

And instead of lettuce mix they added a salad mix? With two piece of spinach only lol. I also asked for my side to be double rice and was given beans and rice. We took a group of students to tour Texas A&M. Afterwards, we decided to hit up Chuy's for lunch. We showed up unannounced at 12:30 with 24 students and a fellow teacher, so 26 of us all together. The hostess didn't seem fazed at all. She didn't flinch when we told her 26 people and we chose to sit outside so we could be loud! They had a huge table set up for us outside within 5 minutes! Which was amazing considering we had 24 teenagers with hungry stomachs on our hands! The waitress took our drink order immediately and went to the back to get started on that and chips. I couldn't believe we only had one waitress to keep up with us, but she did a fantastic job!! The chips came out hot and she made sure to keep them coming. The hot sauce is just out of this world and the green sauce is just bomb!! I got the summer plate which is perfect because after eating a whole basket of chips by myself, I just needed something small! The taco was delicious and the cheese dip was nice and hot! So...i think i have just come to realize that i don't like Chuy's. This will have been my third time at one and the food is just really not good at all. The jalapeño ranch though i will say is pretty good. Really about the only thing good here. The strawberry margarita was also okay, but didn't taste very strong. At this location in particular, the parking is great. We waited for about an hour to get seated on a Friday night at 8pm. Our waitress was nice and always came back to check on us, but the food took about half an hour to come out. I ordered the steaks burrito. It was HUGE and looked really promising, but the tortilla was soggy and the meat was just very dry. I was never disappointed with a Chuy's, so my husband and I decided to check out this location in Bryan/College Station. Even on a weekday night, the restaurant was pretty full, and all servers seemed to be busy helping other customers out. We were seated immediately, but there were long waits to be served throughout our meal. However, our server was super friendly and got us everything we needed. We ordered a large mango frozen margarita, panchos (which is my husband's favorite), and a beef fajita for one to share between us. The frozen margarita was terrific, as always, and we preferred it over the white peach one we had tried before. With the chips we received as appetizers, the servings were huge that we had to get the rest to go, which we ended up splitting into 2+ small meals. I've been to many Chuy's locations throughout the years and I still strongly stand on the Austin location. The chips and jalapeño ranch were tasty and delicious however, the salsa seemed to have gone bad. The service was not the most outstanding. Our server Chloe if I'm not mistaken was not attentive to my wife and I's needs. She gave us one jalapeño ranch that we seemed to have gone through quickly and when politely asked for more did not receive for a while. We asked for sweet teas that were unsweet and the vinaigrette dressing on my wife's salad was forgotten. The most appalling part of our visit was the toothpick I found inside of my steak burrito. We were disgusted, and by that alone we did not finish our meal, just requested the check. Do not expect great service out of our server, I am extremely disappointed with our visit. I loooooove Chuys and so I was very pleased to find that this one did not let me down. It was pretty busy but we got seated right away (table for 2). The fast pace within all the employees there was very appreciated. We had Holland as our server and she was very attentive and genuine. This review is just for this Harvey Road location. The food is genuine Chuy's food. Hard to screw that up. If I could go lower than a one star I would. This review completely rests on the management and owner of this franchise. They have completely ruined the franchise for me and I will never return. Let me tell you why. The last 3 visits have been horrendous. And one of those we did just to get a $100 gift card. Every time we call to place our Togo order I wait on average 30 minutes getting bounced back to the front lobby. This last time, I was bounced 4 times and waited over 45 minutes before I gave up. They told me that the store is closed, and they have one person, ONE PERSON answering call in orders on a Friday night. That's completely unacceptable and terrible management. The time before this most recent I was also not able to get through so my wife pulled up and no one came out to acknowledge her. She caught the attention of an employee giving an order to another vehicle. At first all he wanted to do was make her call in but she had discussed her inability to get through. He finally agreed, after all, all she wanted was a gift card and he processed it for her but not without her waiting an additional 20 minutes. The time before that, I was told it would take 30 minutes then waited for nearly an hour and a half. Needless to say, this all rest on poor management. Every time I walk in there I've not been impressed with the flow. I'm over it. I don't know what this establishment needs to do to get it together, but it's no longer my problem. I ended up getting Santa Fe enchilada. It's basically a layered enchilada - blue corn tortillas stacked with pulled chicken, cheese, a green Chile sauce, topped with a fried egg. Trust me, the egg was definitely the best part. It was served with rice and beans. Probably not a meal I would want to order over and over again, but I would definitely recommend it to others who are looking for something slightly different. The best part of the night (at least for our Birthday boy) was the drink they brought out for him. It was so cute that they lit it on fire too. Haven't eaten there in a while so we went back. First, the place is so loud you can't possibly have a conversation. The salsa was no good and too hot. If you want salt and pepper, they have to bring you the little paper packets like a fast food place, reeks of cheap. The tortilla soup was very good. I got the crispy beef tacos. Had the worse experience! Service is terrible. I tried taking my disabled dad out to eat since he doesn't get out much. As we arrived I also had my baby and my toddler with me. We sat down in a corner table away from the other tables. We weren't even greeted. We sat down, waited for someone to go take our order. Instead a man comes to tell us to move my stroller to the other side of the restaurant?? so it wouldn't be in the way. My baby is 6 months old and is not sitting up on her own. She 100% needs the stroller and she needed to be near me. Mind you, there was no one around us and there was plenty of available tables. Also, Not only is my dad in a wheelchair he is 100% disabled. We decided to get up and leave & take our business elsewhere. I will never go back! I've never felt so humiliated. Thankfully my dad didn't understand why we couldn't eat there. Went at 3:30 on a Friday to beat the crowd. The hostess told us they didn't have any booths available (which is easiest for us with two kids). Took us to the back/side room with every single booth open and sat us at a table. It was so awkward it was almost funny. Must have been near shift change because the server was so rushed to get through that he hardly let us finish a sentence before cutting us off and walking away. The redeeming part of the service was the guy who took over (must have been coming in for evening shift) and offered to grab a bag for our to-go boxes, and joked around with the kids. The signs point to this place being a great place, because the place was busy and packed. We were seated after waiting on a wait list, which wasn't too bad of a wait. Our waitress was super nice and friendly, also very patient for we were a large group and couldn't make up our minds. Mind you the menu is quite large. Some in our group recommended the Saturday special, which was the Chicken enchiladas with green chile avocado sauce. The rest of the group got a split with enchiladas with green avocado sauce and the boom boom sauce. I wasn't to impressed with withe green avocado sauce, but was liking the boom boom sauce. Ive been to this location of chuys for years And usually have had a good experience. Sadly, that was not the case today. We were told the wait would be 25-35 minutes whenever we arrived at 5:45 with plenty of time for happy hour til 7. We had 5 adults and a 10 month old (needed a high chair). We checked on our status multiple times. We were told that our table was next for a large party. We saw a table of 6 go in front of us and that's when we realized that despite us standing there with baby in arms that they forgot about our table. We had to ask for hot water so that we could feed our baby since the wait had been so long and we needed it to heat up his milk. We received our table after 1 hour of waiting since we approached again asking and that's whenever they realized that they had forgotten our table since we were so far back on the list.... on an entirely different sheet. By the time we got our table, happy hour was over...
