It came with refried beans, your choice of meat, cheese, and Spanish rice and lettuce + tomato on the side. Atmosphere was nice as well; they have a room with dog pictures on all the walls! YA'LL. I have such a soft spot for this place! My family and I had been coming to Chuy's every time we'd come down for our Disney trips, and now that we live here, it's been a pleasure to have dinner here more often now! The inside is a ton of fun! There's so many bright colors and everyone working is extremely friendly and outgoing! The last time I ate inside the restaurant, there was a guy that made balloon animals for a small fee. I'm not sure if he's still there, but if he is, it is totally worth getting a balloon and watching him make it! He's made things from animals to shapes to Disney balloons to wearable Mickey Ear balloons. The food here is great too, large portions and tons of flavor! Their queso dip is the BOMB! Their Boom Boom Enchiladas, Chicken Flautas, and the Chuychanga are some of my personal favorite dishes to get here. They also supply you with chip baskets throughout your meal. During COVID, they started doing curbside pickup, and that's how we've been eating from them for the past 2 years now. Their curbside procedures are easy to follow, and they're usually very quick. Lol I decided to lower a star because I was not happy with the table that we were seated at. It was not ready for diners! It had used napkins under the tables and one of the chairs had sauce on it. :(. I was taking a photo of it and that's when our waitress noticed. Not sure if she reacted because I was taking a photo but we shouldn't have been seated if the table was not ready at all especially after waiting. Soon after our waitress seem so overwhelmed and rushed. I get it, it's busy, it's spring break but you shouldn't let your patrons feel it. A Family favorite Whenever family is in town, we always go to this Chuy's. Yes there's almost always a wait, but the food is delicious and it has the best service... Absolutely fantastic waiters and waitresses. I first tried Chuy's just out side Chicago, where my son lives. Back then, before the pandemic, one of our favorite things was going to the salsa bar in the trunk of the old Cadillac. This was my second time going here and thought it was good. It's really nothing special but you know. Mexican food. The chips and salsa were good, and they came out fresh each time. Our waiter was patient with such a huge group and was super nice. The tacos were mostly lettuce but still good. The meat was also very tasty. We LOVE Chuy's! Every time we go to Orlando we make a point to go there for either lunch or dinner. We had always gone to the same location so, this time, decided to try another one and see if the food and service was as a great. You know what?!!? It is! 100% 5 start for this one too. Their chips and complimentary salsas are the BEST! They have the regular salsa (with a bit of a kick), and their Spicy Ranch (which is my favorite). Plus they have a list of other free salsas or $1 salsas to choose from like: green hatched chili, Chili con carne, and more. The chips are bottomless so this, by itself, can be a meal, especially if you add one (or two) of their margaritas. On top of that the food is delicious. Tacos, burritos, salads, enchiladas, flautas and more. Some dishes are accompanied with their refried beans and delicious green chili rice. Portions are big so, for me, there's always leftovers, and at a great price. Great service, quick and friendly, and location is very clean. Oh, and don't forget their happy hour with discounted drinks and limitless nacho bar. There's obviously not going wrong with Chuy's, and we will be back! read more

Chuy's is an all-time favorite of mine! The first time I went to a Chuy's was actually in Austin, Texas while visiting my aunt. I was incredibly excited when a few years ago, they announced that one was opening up on 192. Chuy's has AMAZING drinks, guac and chips! The South and authentic Mexican food go together about as well as grape jelly and egg salad, but Chuy's is one of those rare Tex-Mex restaurants that's good for what it is. That being said, Chuy's is a great match for the Orlando area. After a long day traversing Disney's huge Animal Kingdom theme park, we were starving. It was just after 9 pm so we figured our only options would be fast food. I was thrilled when I saw that this location was open until 10 pm on weeknights so off we went. The atmosphere is so much fun, a bright and colorful 1950s vibe with photos of dogs lining the walls. In fact, if you bring in a framed photo of your dog (sorry, cat folks), your pup's face will be hung on the wall and you'll get a free appetizer! My favorite thing to eat at Chuy's are the chips! The salsa is bland (they have several different salsas so keep asking for different ones until you find the right spice; we asked for "the hottest thing you've got" and it was still pretty mild) but the chips are magical! They are super light and crispy and are absolutely addictive. Come prepared to scarf down at least two baskets (they are unlimited and free). Hubby ordered the Elvis Presley Memorial Combo, a ginormous platter of Tex-Mex favorites. As is the norm with Americanized Mexican food, everything was loaded with gooey cheese (this is not a bad thing)! I had the chicken fajitas and asked for my onions to be "well done," and the kitchen sure did listen! My onions were so well done that they crunched like fried onions. I didn't eat them but hey, it was my own fault for ordering them that way, which I always do but the kitchens still never cook them enough. Well at Chuy's they sure do. I was super impressed with the huge bowl of fajita toppings that came alongside my meal. There was a crazy amount of shredded cheese as well as a scoop of sour cream, mediocre guacamole, lettuce and pico. Everything here is homemade and it's so good. The flour tortillas are made in an open-air show kitchen right in the middle of the restaurant. These tortillas aren't thin and traditional, they are more like a lighter and fluffier flour-heavy pita bread -- and they're delicious in their own right. Our server was professional, efficient and friendly, and although we walked in less than an hour before closing, we were never rushed. We were stinky and gross from sweating in a theme park all day yet we were never treated poorly either. Prices are reasonable for a tourist area, and all appetizers are an especially good value. This is a GREAT place to go after a day at the Disney parks. I love Chuy's and this location is top notch (much better than some of the others in the Orlando area). Bonus tip: their late afternoon Happy Hour is the tops because they open up a "Cadillac" trunk in the bar area and you can get unlimited queso, taco meat and chips and salsa with your drink! From the front desk to the bartenders to the servers everyone is really friendly and welcoming. And the decor is bright and fun. I had fajitas. When they came out, I thought they would be too much to eat, but I managed them all, and they were delicious. The sangria from the bar was very good too, as were the margaritas (I'm told). And our server was very careful after finding out I was allergic to cilantro, making sure we got special versions of some items without that addition. All around a great experience. Depending on time of day and the day you come, it can be crazy busy, but typically you can get seats at the bar. I've actually only sat at the bar. This is a Texas chain, and the first one I ever went to was in Austin, Texas. But it's has been well replicated in Florida and one of the best Tex-Mex place in the area. I actually live I St. Petersburg, but come here when I'm in the Orlando area. I haven't really found a really good Tex-Mex place in The Tampa/St. Pete area yet. The Chips & Salsa to start are awesome. The chips are nice and thin, perfectly crispy and lightly salted. The salsa tastes fresh and has just enough spice. This would be a great start to any meal, but my suggestion is to also order the queso. The version with the beef, guacamole and pick de gallo is best, but I've been with a couple of vegetarians and they can do a vegetarian version if you ask and it is still very good. I love the Tortilla Soup here and it comes as a giant bowl which could serve as a meal. I also love the combo platters, which are made of of various Tex-Mex items like tacos, enchiladas, etc. The food is so good! Anyways, highly recommend. Only wish it was a little more filled or bulky. Enchiladas were decent. Chicken was a little dry. Queso was good. Wish they would've of promoted that more upon suggesting it. Queso was very flavorful. Would've ordered more of that. Turn around time for food was very impressive. Quick hot and nicely temped. Didn't take photos this time around due to issues with phone. But will swing by there again to try their other menu items. Personal advice: Advise going before theme park closures to ensure good timely service. Because if you go after parks close. Good luck. I loved the decor of this place. It's very colorful, with a blend of Elvis and Latin artwork. We were seated right away on a Friday night and had a nice time on the outside patio. The waitress was nice and attentive. The food was alright. They ran out of rice so my taco felt like it was missing something. The menu is a bit limited. The prices are very fair though. There was a fan outside that was so loud it was bothering my uncle, but the waitress was unable to turn it off. We came on Mother's Day which happens to be one of the busiest days and service was 5/5 stars. We were immediately seated despite being almost full inside. We loved the restaurant experience. Even though it's a chain this location had its own personalized style in each room. Our room was themed by classic cars and hub caps. We liked the family/ fun atmosphere. There was even a woman making fresh tortillas. Once seated we were treated with chips and salsa. The Salsa was a little salty but still good. My mother and I both ordered #1 Comida Deluxe which includes Cheese Tex-Mex enchiladas, chicken flautas, a seasoned ground sirloin crispy taco, guacamole & homemade tostada chips dipped in chile con queso. All this for less than $13.00. I couldn't believe the portions for such a excellent price. Enough for two meals, maybe three. The food was excellent.... next time I'll be getting a smaller meal though lol. Overall I will deffinently be returning here. Our server told us they have a excellent happy hour Mon-Fri 4-7pm.
