First time eating here, had a short wait but can be expected on a Friday evening. The atmosphere is laid back but can be a bit noisy. Service was quick and the waiter was attentive. Chips and salsa brought to the table and drinks quickly followed. Our drinks never went empty which is a big plus for me. Food came as ordered and everything tasted great. Overall everything seemed to have a bit of a spice to it which I thought was good but could see where others may not like it. Homemade tortillas are made right in the kitchen fresh. It really hit the spot on a hot summer day. My server provided an ample supply of chips and salsa. I had the veggie enchilada platter. It consisted of two enchiladas, refried beans, and rice. Told we would get a table in 30 minutes and it took 1 hour and 25 minutes. We have 4 young children and waited from 6:35pm to 8pm for a table. We waited and watched party after party seated before us. They do not accept reservations. If they were honest with the wait time, we would have gone somewhere else. The hostess kept ignoring our complaints. There is one bartender who was excellent. Our server was incredible and working so hard! I have never been to a restaurant with a worse hostess. As we were headed out, our family member overheard her tell the male host that she made us wait longer because we kept voicing our concerns at the hour mark!!Terrible experience in Orlando during an awesome trip. Was vacationing in the Kissimmee area around Thanksgiving time and took the family to Chuy's for dinner. The service was great. Our girls were really hungry and our server kept the chips and salsa coming. The chips are homemade, light and crisp and so good. The girls had a bean and cheese burrito and chicken flautas. My wife had the Mexi-Cobb salad and I had the Enchilada Platter (one chicken and one steak). My wife and I had some margaritas which took the edge off after a long day at Disney World. Everything we had was really great. I server checked on us frequently and took great care of us. The inside of the restaurant was warm and inviting. I love the hubcaps on the ceiling. I was hoping write a 5 star review. I was really excited after hearing people talk about Chuy's and reading other reviews. Unfortunately, my experience was not one worth 5 stars. Im being generous with the 3 actually. I would give it a two except the food was really yummy that I had. So Im sure youre wondering why not 5 stars if the food was really yummy. Well a few things happened tonight that made me lower the rating. It started out smooth. We had out our name in online and when we arrived we were told it would be 10-15 minutes. Within 5 minutes we were called. The restaurant is decorated beautifully with tons of things to see. It is full of bright colors and clever pictures and patterns. Very inviting. We were sat at a table in a back room with a few other tables and a row of booths. Things were still going well. Chips and 2 kinds of dips (salsa and a green creamy one) were delivered to us within minutes. Our waiter introduced himself, very friendly gentleman. (Leaving his name out bc of later details). We had our drinks like 15 minutes later which seemed like a long time especially eating the chips. I had an unsweetened ice tea, my mom had a margarita which she said was awesome and my dad and husband had beer. (An aside, they put an additional tax on the beer on the bill. FYI). We ordered. Our waiter even helped me decide on the fajitas. Then we waited. And waited And waited. And waited....... Our waiter brought food out to 3 tables who had come in after us when we were still waiting for our food! They had all come in way after us and ordered way after us. We waited some more.... Finally I was able to get the attention of a woman who works there and I very politely asked if she could check on our food because it was talking a while. Another 10 minutes or so. Then came the food. Fajitas were super yummy, however it was supposed to come with peppers and onions and there were only 3 small pieces of green pepper and 2 tiny pieces of red pepper. It was almost all onions under the chicken! I made do with this however it was a very over the top amount of onions. Still was a delicious meal. My husband had asked three times if his meal would be spicy and was told no each time. Within a few seconds my husbands face was red from the spices and he was sweating. He still enjoyed it however it was definitely spicy. (Chicka chicka boom boom enchiladas). My dads meal was also missing the beans that were supposed to be in it. Still all the food was yummy. Just not as expected. The other thing was, the back room we were sitting in was FREEZING COLD!!! It was a least 10 degrees colder than the rest of the restaurant. We said if we ever go again we will make sure NOT to be seated in that room because it would have been a much better experience if people werent freezing. All in all, I would try it again sometime and give it another chance. If I do, more stars may be added or taken away. It was a disappointing experience overall. Started off with the complementary chips and salsa. They even bring you a side of their creamy jalapeño sauce. Chips are crispy and salted to perfection. The salsa and creamy jalapeño had a nice little kick to it, which I did enjoy. I ordered a blackberry lemon margarita, which was frozen and so delicious. It was the perfect way to cool down on a hot summer day. I ordered a combination plater for my meal, which included a Chile Cheese Relleno and a Chicken and Cheese Enchilada. It was also served with a side of refried beans and Mexican rice. It also came with a tiny bit of sour cream that was fluffed up by some shredded lettuce. (I have learned to never ask for a side of sour cream from here as the charge is more than a tub of it from the grocery store) I was actually very surprised to see this on their menu. It used to be one of my favorite things to get. However, since reopening after the pandemic, their menu has shrunk in size so much, and a lot of my favorite things were removed from the menu. Food tasted great, and the service was good. Once we placed our order, the food was out in less than 10 minutes. If you are looking for some decent texmex in Orlando, I would recommend it. They have a really fun vibe with lots of colors, pictures of doggies everywhere and hubcaps on the ceiling. They have booths and tables and seating at the bar as well, along with seating outside. If you go early you can be seated quickly. If it gets later into dinner you are going to wait. I don't mind waiting because they have a bar and what's better with Mexican food than a Margarita! They are so good and can be really large! I love the frozen Mango Margarita. They start you off with chips and salsa. I also asked for creamy jalapeno sauce instead of the salsa. The creamy jalapeno is spicy but I love it and use it on everything! I usually order the same thing, cheese enchiladas with the tex mex sauce. They are two enchiladas with cheese and the sauce. YUM OH! It comes with rice and beans, I don't like refried beans so I always get double rice. Tip: add the creamy jalapeno sauce to the rice!! I have also had the fajitas (steak and chicken), and the tortilla soup. Everything is really delicious. I have never had a bad meal here. Everything tastes so fresh and comes out hot and is really just delicious. My parents always get the fajitas (they have for 1 or for 2) and share them. My husband always get the salad which is loaded with chicken and vegetable toppings. Their tortillas are made fresh, with an employee hand rolling and cooking them in the restaurant. I am a big fan of Mexican food, and yes this is a chain with locations around but it is a really great chain. Everything is fresh, it tastes awesome and is just really good! Chuy's is always a good time! It's one of my partner and I's favorite places to visit. The food is always delicious, and you can always add or remove anything that comes on the meal. I usually get the steak burrito with creamy jalepeno either instead of or with the hatch sauce depending on the day, and it's amazing. Service as always could sometimes use some work. Every location I've been to has been hit or miss with service. Ambiance is pretty cute with the theme of family and dogs. This time it wasn't as great, but just good. The service was pretty good, she messed up on the order, but quickly came back with the right order. The enchilada sauce for the Tex Mex enchiladas tasted burnt and dry at the same time, not sure how that was achieved. The chips, salsa, and ranch were yummy. Enjoying our vacation to Disney and decided to enjoy some Tex Mex on Cinco de mayo. It's so awesome to find a great restaurant with great food that caters to family with kids as well. Party of 6 and our waitress was on point with everything! Very attentive. Tex mex is always a good choice and we picked a good place. I fell in love with the tacos and queso my meal came with one taco and I had enchiladas the meal is called The Elvis Presley Memorial combo. Everyone ordered something different, check out the pictures. They had the average stuff kids eat and you know what kids eat. Mac n cheese. Chicken fingers pizza that stuff. What I loved was that my kid could literally be a kid there. They had an awesome balloon guy who can make anything you want. My kid asked for huggy wuggy. Why I have no idea. But he made it. Pics below. My godson that was with us asked for light sabers and he made two for both the boys. We sat outside and the boys played with the light sabers in a corner on the outdoor section and no one had an issue. The ambiance was so nice on the inside and the outside eating area was decorated so festive. Plenty of parking in the front, back and sides. Very busy night to go eat. One hour wait. I have been going to Chuy's for more than 25 years mostly in Dallas though now I live in Orlando. Food is good and I love the queso. The service from the server in this location is slow. She is happy to take the order but never returns and you have to ask her co-server to locate her. When she took my credit card to pay it took her forever to run and return. I had to knock a bit off of the tip for that. It could be that she was very busy, however I had this same server 2 weeks ago and she was the same then. If you want a great tip you have to give good service other wise you get only an ok tip. Also the menus were on the table when we sat dow. The menus look as they had sat outside in rain and were not easy to read. I asked her if we could get another set of menus and she seemed bothered by this request. Viva La Chuy's! I had so much fun at this I-drive restaurant while wrapping up the final day of winter break. My husband attended a work outing here and said the food was great, so we decided to go back together. I had the Elvis Presley platter which consists of 3 different styles of enchiladas plus rice and beans plus a taco dipped in queso on the side. All of the food was amazing and the ground beef chimichanga my husband got was excellent as well. Great service throughout our lunch wish we came here at the beginning of our trip here to Orlando instead of our last day right before our flight home Food is absolutely delicious I had the Chicka-Chicka Boom-Boom chicken enchiladas rice and beans and everything was delicious. This was our first stop when we got to town. We had lunch here. We were starving and it was amazing!!! The chips and salsas were amazing. I loved the jalapeño ranch to dip!! I could drink that stuff!! The salsa had a kick for sure!! We also got the guacamole and the queso as well. The guacamole was delicious and the queso was Smokey and yummy. We all got cocktails. Because they looked so good! I got a blackberry margarita on the rocks and my husband got a Tito's Cherry limeade. They were both very good! I got a chicken quesadilla and my husband got the chuychanga cuz he always gets a chimichanga when he goes new places haha My quesadilla was really really good and so was his chimichanga. Did you know Chuy's has expanded outside of the Texas? We didn't and on a travel day when we just wanted something easy and familiar, it was a welcome sight. Because we were getting ready to do a major race, we stuck with a shared plate of fajitas. Deliciousness! I do love Chuy's, even more so knowing it's a chain. I've been visiting this location since they open. It's my favorite to go tex mex place. The food is always consistent, except my last time I had very little rice but it wasn't an issue. I still love them. My favorite food is veggie enchiladas with boom boom sauce. That sauce is amazing!!! Cheesy and a little spicy. Their guacamole and chips are fantastic as well. Stopped by here for an early dinner with my Marine Corps boot camp buddy (1965!) and his wife. This was a natural choice since we all enjoy Mexican food. Our waitress, Nicole, was absolutely the best. Immediately we were brought fresh, hot and crispy tortilla chips, along with very mild salsa and a creamy jalapeño dip. We ordered drinks and meals at the same time since we had already perused the menu. Our drinks came quickly, along with queso and guacamole. I asked for hot salsa and Nicole brought me their hottest sauce, Hatch Green Chili sauce. A disappointment, it had a little heat. Queso and guacamole were both fresh and delicious. My wife ordered her usual burrito and was not disappointed. It was plate size. Wish I could get her to step out a bit. I ordered the beef enchiladas, mainly because when we came in we passed by the station where they were making fresh flour tortillas. They were very good alongside great refried beans and fair rice. Nothing outstanding. Our friends ordered the beef and chicken soft tacos and were pleased with them. Nicole came by often, refreshing drinks and checking on us. Even brought more hot chips when our basket was down halfway. My wife saved half her burrito for later and no one wanted to try the tres leche cake. Nicole brought us boxes for the burrito, leftover queso & guacamole, salsa and a handful of chips. The only disappointment was the "hot" sauce.
