I also always complain about the I Drive area, but there's actually tons of parking at this location and it was pretty quiet for lunch on a Friday! Plenty of tables and space. Service here was awesome, friendly, and quick, and she kept us filled with chips and salsa! The chicken flautas were a nice lunch option and came with plenty of sides. Was super excited to try this place out as it was greatly recommended by a local. We had a group of 8 people which took a little while to get situated. Seemed decently busy for a weds night. Felt bad for the server as he was swamped and busy so he took a bit of time to get drinks/orders in. I had a very disappointing experience at Chuy's. After we were seated, our server never brought the complimentary chips and salsa, even though that's a standard part of the dining experience. While we were waiting, another table that had just been seated received their chips, salsa, and drinks almost immediately--before they had even placed their order. Meanwhile, our server kept walking around without checking on us or bringing anything. It wasn't until I spoke to the hostess about the situation that he suddenly came over with the chips and salsa, apologizing as if he had simply forgotten. Unfortunately, it didn't feel like an honest mistake--it felt like we were never going to receive them until we complained. This experience left us feeling ignored and treated differently from other customers. Whether it was poor service or something else, no guest should have to ask for the basic complimentary items that every other table is receiving. I was so excited to visit Chuy's in Orlando after falling in love with their Miami location (only to have it close less than a year after opening). I had an extremely serious issue at this Chuy's location on International Drive. My husband and I have been Chuy's customers for over 10 years and eat there roughly every month. This was one of our regular restaurants, which makes this situation even more upsetting. On Monday, June 29, 2026, we were sitting at the bar and left around 9:50 PM, at closing / after closing. We were the last guests in the bar area. My purse was left behind at the bar and contained my ID, credit/debit cards, camera equipment, and personal belongings. We began contacting the restaurant the next morning around 9:00 AM. We were told staff had been in the building until approximately midnight after close, but the purse was supposedly not there. The restaurant also stated they have no cameras. Multiple managers were unable or unwilling to provide a clear explanation of who checked the bar, who cleaned the area, who closed the bar, whether the trash was checked, whether the bartender from that night saw or moved the purse, or what documentation was created. One manager said she would "tear the place apart" after the lunch rush, then left before giving a clear follow-up. A later manager was dismissive and seemed irritated that we were continuing to ask about a missing purse containing ID, financial cards, and camera equipment. I am not claiming to know exactly who took it, but the circumstances are extremely concerning. We were the last guests in the bar area at closing, staff remained in the building afterward, there are allegedly no cameras, and the response from management has been dismissive and inadequate. I would strongly caution anyone visiting this location to keep valuables physically on them at all times. In my opinion, this location handled a serious missing-property situation terribly. read more

We joked with him about a "grande" coke and he brought an entire pitcher for 1 person haha!! He was so great and attentive!! The food was equally as good, I never had a bad experience at Chuys. It's actually the only place I can find HATCH Green Chili sauce! No where else has it and I loveeee getting the enchiladas with the hatch green chili on it! Even the creamy green chili sauce was a hit. The sauces are what makes it for me here. But there are cons. The menu is very limited both in options and in proteins. Most items come either chicken or ground beef. That's Taco Bell options! The menu is simply a two sided laminated sheet. The chicken enchilada I had was made good by the sauce. The chicken was bland. The rellano I had seemed over cooked and lacking in cheese. Again, I was scraping sauce to add to the rellano. The portion sizes are huge which is great for sharing or for having leftovers. I love that they give you the chips and salsa while you wait for your food - the jalapeño ranch dip is A++++ in my book! For a party of 2, we ordered the chicken ponchos which is enough on its own as a meal. I then ordered the fajita steak/beef bowl. It was my first time ordering it and I think it may be my new go-to. Chuy's is a local Mexican chain restaurant, and this one is my favorite location. This one is located on International Drive next to the Escape Game. I have been here many times with my husband, family and friends and we have always had a great experience. They have a really fun vibe with lots of colors, pictures of doggies everywhere and hubcaps on the ceiling. They have booths and tables and seating at the bar as well, along with seating outside. If you go early you can be seated quickly. If it gets later into dinner you are going to wait. I don't mind waiting because they have a bar and what's better with Mexican food than a Margarita! They are so good and can be really large! I love the frozen Mango Margarita. They start you off with chips and salsa. I also asked for creamy jalapeno sauce instead of the salsa. The creamy jalapeno is spicy but I love it and use it on everything! I usually order the same thing, cheese enchiladas with the Tex Mex sauce. This comes with two enchiladas with cheese and the sauce of your choice along with beans and rice. YUM OH! I don't like refried beans, so I always get double rice. Tip: add the creamy jalapeno sauce and ask for extra cheese and add both to the rice!! That combination for me is so delicious. I have also had the fajitas (steak and chicken), and the tortilla soup. Everything is really delicious. I have never had a bad meal here. Everything tastes so fresh and comes out hot and is really just delicious. My parents always get the fajitas (they have for 1 or for 2) and share them. They come with the standard fajita toppings along with beans and rice. My husband always gets the salad which is loaded with chicken and vegetable toppings, as well as cheese and avocado. It is more on the healthier side, but it is really good. Their tortillas are made fresh, with an employee hand rolling and cooking them in the restaurant. I am a big fan of Mexican food, and yes this is a chain with locations around, but it is a really great chain. Everything is fresh, it tastes awesome and is just really good! You definitely need to try it. It does get busy in the evening so you might have to wait but it is worth it. I really like this location, the staff is always great and friendly, the food is delicious, the parking lot is pretty large but again it can get crowded. The décor was a bit of a mystery; right outside, there was a large Elvis Presley statue, and inside, a wall adorned with Betty Boop plates, while another featured Marilyn Monroe, among other quirky items. We visited on a Tuesday around 1 PM, and the wait time was minimal. We were seated at the bar area, where the bartender was attentive and knowledgeable. Our food arrived in about 10 minutes after placing our order. My wife chose the Appetizer Plate, which included a variety of meat quesadillas, cheese nachos, chicken flautas, queso, guacamole, and sour cream. I opted for the chimi roasted chicken burrito, served with Mexican rice and refried beans. Both dishes were delicious, and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. They come with beans and rice. The boom boom sauce was cheesy, kinda like the queso, but better on enchiladas. The Elvis Presley combo was a good way to try different items, but it is too much food for one person. I went with my son on his recommendation and was thrilled right from the start. A huge basket of really fresh light tortilla chips with the best pico di gallo I can remember and some tasty cilantro lime sauce place in front of me. The pico had just the right amount of kick to it and was super fresh! We got some fresh guacamole which was yummy and I ordered tortilla soup and a chicken burrito bowl. The soup has the most amazing broth ever! Chickeny, salty, buttery happiness! The burrito bowl was fresh fresh and super tastey. My son ordered an asada burrito and it's said in the menu "as big as your face" and they were not Messi g around. It was huge! Covered in a terrific Tex Mex sauce. So fulfilling and just Tex-Mex joy! The Chuy's franchise is probably the best, most consistent Mexican food restaurants in Orlando. This location is on International Drive and very close to the Universal parks. This may account for the prices being a bit higher than most non-tourist restaurants in the city. Love the decor. Very unique to say the least. My go to is the Steak Burrito with the hot Hatch Green Chili. It is very spicy and very good. Ask for extra sauce and they will gladly accommodate you. The fajitas are also consistently good.
