First time to visit this place and we love it. Friday night is busy time for this place. We were places on a waiting list and were told 20-30min. They notify you via sms when you table is ready which is pretty cool. Our waiting time for the table was actually much shorter, 10min max. Whiskey smush drinks, amazingly good guacamole and salsa with chips following main course. From service to food everything was great. And their "creamy jalapeño" sauce is a must! My husband and I went to Chuy's on 7/18/15 for dinner. I suggested the Springfield Mall because it was there restaurant week (where Chuy's was advertised as participating but I did not recieve any type of menu with their specials or an explanation of what was available). I am not sure if the crowds were as a result of restaurant week or that the Springfield Mall has just become that popular. Our wait was about 20 minutes so we walked over to the mall for about 15 minutes. I was shocked when I asked the hostess when we returned about when we could expect to be called and she said we were already called. (I checked my watch while we were walking around the mall to make sure that we got back before 20 the minutes.) The hostess did a great job of putting us back on the list and our wait was only 10 minutes. This is a slightly hard review for me to write because I feel like our experience once we sat down was a 2.5. The food was good. I had the stuffed peppers which I had never tried in tex mex style. I don't think I would get it again but was glad I tried it. The atmosphere thou loud was fun and relaxing. Our server (believe her name was Eve) was meh. She seemed very nice and I am not sure if our lack of attention might have been her trying to deal with the crowds (when we left I heard the wait had gone from 20 to 40 minutes) but I expected to be checked in on more than we were. In a nutshell, even thou the service was just okay I would go back (but I would choose not to go back there on a Saturday evening) to possibly recieve better service. read more

My mom and I came here to get a bite to eat after shopping and we were more than pleased with our experience. Our waitress was so sweet and very attentive, and had great recommendations. The complementary chips and salsa were so good and fresh, and the green sauce was to die for. I got the combo with the chicken enchilada and chalupa with beans, and it was very delicious. For dessert it's a must you order the tres leches cake, my mom and I were in heaven. Overall the atmosphere was very decorated and inviting and the prices were pretty cheap. This is my third time at a Chuy's and I'll say the food is a consistent four stars. The service during previous visits...lets just say it was less than four stars. However, Gabby at the Springfield location was great...attentive yet not overbearing even though she was rather busy. One consistent complaint is the cleanliness of the silverware. Theres plenty of seating but I would still try to get a reservation or call ahead just in case. 'm so excited that this place has opened here. This is the only Tex-Mex place that Arizonans will go to. The happy hour deals here have always been solid. Discounted margaritas (and so many to choose from), and an open chips and salsa bar make for a lovely afternoon. I've always been a fan of their chicken fajitas. Love the marinade they use and they always have just a little touch of smoke. Their pico de gallo has always left much to be desired though. The service here has been great every time I've been and that's saying something since they are beyond packed during happy hour. Delicious tres leches dessert. That's really what brings us in sometimes because we are craving it. The food is average that we've had a few times. Margaritas are great and the bar area is so cute. Okay so it's a weird guilty pleasure to come here w my fiancé. The GOOD news is that their endless happy hour nacho bar is fun. We get to eat the same thing (beans, ground beef, tomatoes, creme fresh, and tortilla chips) OVER AND OVER again. The BAD news is that whatever "Elvis" thing I ordered on the menu was absolutely horrendous. I feel like I've never had worse enchiladas/burritos drowned in the most blandest, uncomfortable textured sauce. It's one of the Top 5 worst things I've ever eaten in my life. Well let me first say this is the first review I've written. And next let me say this will be the last time I will patronize Chuy's at the Springfield Town Center. My son's and I went there for my birthday dinner with my sons. They food was ok at best but it was my birthday and we were having a good time. As we were preparing to leave we asked one of the staff to take our picture. And that wasn't the only thing that they TOOK. They TOOK my birthday card. Now my card was in a pink envelope with HAPPY BIRTHDAY written across the front and standing up against the wall. So how someone cleaning off the table could miss that is unbelievable. So we left and arrived home in 10 minutes when I realized that I left my card. I drove back to pick it up. When I arrived I knew something was wrong. I asked the young man at the front if anyone turned in a card left at the table and got the deer in headlights look. After a long pause, no is what I heard. I asked to speak with a manager. After waiting ~10 minutes, Scott the general manager finally came out. Who makes a customer wait ~10 minutes?? So after explaining what happened, I'm treated like it's my fault. And since it's almost 10pm on a Thursday night and they are SO busy, whoever cleaned the tables just missed it. So after I explain that there is no way someone just overlooked my PINK card, I asked what was he going to do about it. The answer was he was going to look through 16 bags of garbage to find my card. At this point I am fuming and realizing that if I do t leave I'm goi g to say and/or do something I regret. So I get his name/# and gave him mine so he can call me to let me know if he finds my birthday card. So this is part 1 of my review. Went to this place couple of days ago and we liked it. Salsa is always good. Interior decorating was very welcoming and place was packed on weekday. Spacious outdoor seating were available, however parking can be little headache since there is a mall nearby and it is always packed. Anyway, we orderd one of there fav dish called chika chika boom boom. It was okay. I expected to be lil spicer but came out to be mild version but no complaints. We enjoyed it. We sat on one.of thier booth which had curtains on them. Never seen one so we wanted to have private lunch experience with curtains closed. Of course it was nice feeling. Service was very smooth. I went here with about 7 people altogether on a Saturday for lunch. We were seated pretty quickly and our server came over quickly with chips and salsa (yay). The decor is pretty interesting with a ton of Elvis stuff..apparently it was inspired by him? There is a ton of options to choose from and I was starving at the time so I couldn't even pick. I decided to go for a combination that they had. I chose the number 6 which was a taco, an enchilada, and a chalupa. It was very filling but the chalupa was not what I had expected it to be at all, tasted more like a crunchy taco to me. I also got a few bites of my mom's steak enchiladas and that was very delicious. It was flavorful and a good portion. Overall, the food was what I expected it to be for the price. I have been to this location two times in the last three weeks. I had the combination fajitas and they are excellent! First of all it's hard to find a Mexican restaurant that has fajitas. I know it sounds crazy right? They have several shrimp, steak, and chicken, green peppers, and onions, all of it came to the table sizzling hot with the tortillas and the refried beans on the side. To top it off I had refried beans & rice, the guacamole and sour cream everything I needed to make a fantastic fajita was given to me. The waiters are fast, they are professional, and courteous. I love Chuys but lately it's been very sloppy. Last week we were at the bar and waited 45 minutes for 2 orders of rice and beans, and were only served 1 drink the whole time while we waited. Not sure if the manager isn't scheduling enough bartenders or if he chose not to come by our table, but either way it was lacking. Today we went to the bar again, hoping for a better experience, and the same bartender was there, not sure what his name was because he didn't introduce himself. We understand that you are the only person scheduled, but that doesn't equate to poor customer service. He visited our table one time and everytime we needed something he was walking elsewhere while we attempted to get his attention and didn't bother to check in on the table. He didn't come by after our food was delivered to see if everything tasted okay, and he didn't ask if we needed anything to drink (even though someone bussed our table and the table was clear of glasses. Ate our entire meal without any water). As of right now we are still here and there are a total of 5 parties in the bar, and as a fellow server, I am not sure why it is so difficult to come by and ask if we need water or even tortillas for our food, which we did. read more

The service here and atmosphere were good. The food on the other hand was mediocre. I was very hungry so I thought I'd enjoy it no matter what but it just was subpar. I had a cheese enchilada and it was good, the tortilla was a bit dry and the flavor was pretty bland. I also had a cheese stuffed Chile relleno and it was probably the best thing on the plate. The rice was dry. We ordered a side of cheese sauce; I was disappointed at first because they didn't have the white queso, but it turned out to be delicious. If you order to go, be sure to check the bag before leaving. They get my order wrong about 50% of the time. Tonight I ordered fajita soft tacos with beans and beans as the sides. No beans. Also ordered kid's enchilada with beans. No beans, no enchilada. Instead there were more fajita tacos. The order attached to the bag was correct, the mistakes were made by the person putting the order together. This has nothing to do with the meal, but I think fajita tacos should include the grilled green peppers, onions, and jalapeño that usually accompany fajitas. Chuy's is busy...all day on Saturdays it seems. However, first impressions when we got sat at our table was that they were evidently too busy to clean tables all the way. Mine still had someone's napkin and straw wrapper left on the side and some bits of food. Was that rice? I got their combo with enchiladas and a taco and my girl friend got a burrito. We shared a guac app and enjoyed the chips and salsa a little too much. Their chips are light and crisp. Quite good and probably the thing I liked the most. I enjoyed their variety of sauces they provide on their dishes. Portions are big so come expecting to leave full. I really liked their refried beans too... as did my girl friend because we were full but we kept eating chips with the beans. All in all, I like it for what it is. A very good Mexican restaurant and I can see why it is Zagat rated. I had the Chicka-Chicka Boom-Boom enchilada which is hand-pulled chicken & cheese made with their spicy Boom-Boom sauce, made with cheese, roasted New Mexican green chiles, tomatillos, green onions, cilantro and lime juice. They quickly came around with endless chips, salsa, and the really good ranch salsa. They took a while to refill our chips, but it was a busy Saturday night. I shared the combination(chicken&steak) fajita platter with my mom and my brother ordered The Elvis Green Chile Fried Chicken- chicken breaded with Lay's potato chips and he said he loved it. The fajitas were okay, I personally thought the steak was heavy on seasoning. Overall, good laid back Mexican restaurant to take the fam, especially if you have kids.
