"Where everybody knows your name and they're always glad you came." Just add terrific live music, great acoustics, and the best dance floor around! Truly impressive across the board - friendly, welcoming and FUN. Pete, Kelly and their team are true professionals; they love their work and make sure everyone feels welcome. Pete personally goes from table to table - when he's not joining the band/playing guitar! Kelly is wonderful, kind, warm, and consistently books the BEST bands around. Bartender Bo is indeed "super cool" and funny. Servers Mario and Andrea are helpful, attentive, efficient, and keep everyone very well-fed. Chef Pete (different one) regularly impresses with tasty appetizers, entrees, salads (Greek is a fave), desserts, and more. More than worth a visit - keep going back! I'm proud to be a regular (OK - groupie/super-fan) and my nights at Pete's are true weekend highlights. We met up with some friends here for our first visit since it became Pete's Tavern. While it wasn't exactly my usual crowd, the live music was really good and made for a fun atmosphere. We didn't stay too long, but we still enjoyed some time singing along and hanging out. Overall, a solid spot if you're in the mood for live music. read more

Nice place that I've been hitting a few times per year over the last 20 years since it was JW & Friends. Not many places featuring oldies bands anymore. Walked in Saturday night the 10th of May and was YELLED at by the bartender for asking what kind of white wine was available. Couldn't believe it! Walked right back out. it's not a family friendly place! they make up rules as they see fit! minimum on staying to listen to a band instead of charging a cover charge .. I've been going there for many years and supporting that place ... never again! they have never had a minimum per person to listen to a band! Pete's attitude is horrible towards his long time and new customers!! no matter how hard we try hes never satisfied with what you're spending there! he should be more concerned how the customer feels rather than always money money money!! pretty soon he'll have no customers because of the way he treats them ... Really 4.5 but yelp wont allow that. Low key local place that really surprised me. Very small menu, but rotating specials that are above average for bar food. I had the salmon with lemon sauce and capers special and was kinda leery to order medium rare, but it came out great. Went on a Saturday and got live music as an added plus. Nice little place that doesn't look like much from the road but is worth the stop. read more

Simply put, bad vibes. Bartenders and waiters who lie about cover charges being posted at the entrance/door, then extorts money from customers. The "sign" referenced, it turns out, states that they are "at discretion of management to charge "entertainment fees." The people asking for the fees were not managers of the restaurant. They were asking for a cover charge that was not posted anywhere. Surprising experience because it was a neighborhood gem until recently. read more

Definite gotta go to place. The outside doesn't properly reflect the beautiful inside which is fresh, clean and upbeat. We went on a Friday night, and we're pleasantly surprised with great rock music, perfect acoustics in the place allowing for conversation with room to dance! Great beer selection, wine and full bar. Service was excellent. Three of us had salmon which was cooked perfectly no kidding! Husband had a steak sandwich with fries, all fresh ingredients - he gave a thumbs up and will be back. Oh my God great time dancing last night at Pete's Tavern. The band was fan-freaking-tastic with a stellar sound system and lots of fuzz on the wah wah. I even got the waitress smiling and we danced a little bit in between her waiting tables. My wife danced with a guy that had a really tall cowboy hat and put a smile on his face when she said that I needed to get a cowboy hat just like it. The food and drinks were good. About a three-year hiatus from the last management. I'm glad to have our local bar and grill opened up again. read more

Finally came here on a Friday night and had drinks at the bar. The live cover band was pretty decent and sports on the TVs. Very friendly vibe and Pete was working the bar. Good selection of beers including a couple of local brews. Will be back for sure. read more

Love the new name. Not sure who came up with the old name "The Mixing Bowl" for a restaurant, but it doesn't scream bar/tavern/live music. Pete's is perfect name for the place. I'm not a Boomer, but this place seemed like the ideal Boomer bar. I went to a friend's birthday party here and had a good time. They're new-ish, and possibly still figuring things out -- the beer menu is just a list in the waitress's pocket, and the food menu is very short, and an odd combination of bar food appetizers and three "specials" that are fairly upscale entrees. (No vegetarian option, FYI). But the food was good, the service was great, they had a wide selection of beer and (especially) wine. A great local cover band played Billy Joel-type stuff and people were dancing. It's not exactly my crowd so I'm not sure I'll be back, but if what I've described is what you're looking for, this is the place to be! read more
