I found The Affordable & Licensed Handyman through Yelp because they had great reviews so I was interested to see how much their service fee would be for a simple job when I was looking for a plumber. I needed a license plumber due to home insurance requirement to do this installation or I would've done it myself. They were responsive when I talked to them through Yelp projects. I was shocked with how much I was quoted because it was almost double the price of the automatic shut off valve device I paid for. So I had to confirm that the price that was given to me was just to switch out the bad unit with the new one. They didn't have to do anything else like run new pipes or replace anything else. When I communicated to them that the quote was high, they asked how much did i wanted to pay. I thought they would try to be more reasonable since the name is The Affordable. I give them a range based on the prices from other plumbing company that I reached out to and they couldn't do it which I understand they can set their own prices. Maybe for big projects, they'll give more of a reasonable price which is why they have great reviews on Yelp but just to replace a bad automatic shut off valve with a brand new one, I think it was overprice so I used another plumbing company where they were very reasonable on the price.

They removed the old carpet in our new gym, took up all the glue (which was no small task), leveled the floor, and installed gym mats. The whole process was smooth from start to finish. These guys are hard workers...very quick, but still super efficient and detailed in what they do. The finished floor looks amazing. We've already received so many compliments on it. You can tell they take pride in their work. There will be more pictures to come after our gym is completely set up. But the pictures don't do it justice. The demo was two days of grueling work and these guys showed up promptly each morning, put on some 80s jams, and worked tirelessly. They brought the right materials and tools and worked with confidence. I love that Tim actually listened to my ideas and hyped them. He answered all my questions, had good suggestions about what grout and sealers would work best, and was agreeable to my special requests (like putting my accent tiles in just how I laid them out). I feel extremely satisfied with the results. He was also flexible working us into his schedule and scheduling around the teams of other trades we had coming to the house (framing, electrical, plumping, etc).
