Let me just say this, their food is incredible! Chuys has some of the best Mexican food in town. If you're ever in Tulsa and you want to eat at a sit-down Mexican restaurant , then you should definitely come to Chuys. Also, our waiter, Carissa, was super kind and interacted with my sister a lot. The last thing I want to say about this place is the ambiance is amazing. You should definitely come here.

If everything else in town is closed then I would recommend for you to come here. It is definitely ok food and the look inside is okay. Nothing is wonderful at all. The service is what is always the most important to me and every server in here seemed like they were not happy to be working here tonight. None of them were mean nor angry but none of them were happy or nice or kind or giving you the vibe of being glad to be here.

Not used to Tex Mex Mexican food but our server had the personality of a wet mop. Don't think he wanted to be at work on a Saturday. Food was a bit bland, although my taco salad was pretty tasty. Won't be coming back to Chuy's

Go here! Get there before 7 pm M-F for free queso & chips! Try the homemade sauce sampler and garlic ranch and tres leches.

Decent food with a great margarita. Just that nothing really stands out other than a good environment.

Excellent fajitas! Don't waste your time anymore at Teds their food and service is subpar. Chuys is a breathe of Mexican flavored air!

He even brought our beers with a cocktail glass with salt, which was a nice touch. The SALSA was too HOT! We tried a couple of them, & we couldn't taste anything for the heat. I usually like a little heat, but this was over the top hot. My husband felt the same way & I've talked to a couple other people since then & they said the same thing. We asked the waiter if there was a mild salsa, but he said there was not. I would certainly encourage you to consider making a milder one. I ordered the crispy enchiladas served with ensalada y avocado, along with beans & rice. I also ordered one tamale to try. Everything was delicious. Very good quality food. The tamale was one of the best I've ever eaten. My husband ordered the brisket tacos & found them too greasy, which is unusual for him; however he was agreeable to eating there again, but would try another dish. We will be back, but will just skip the salsa & brisket tacos!

We ordered our food and I got the crispy taco dinner. I will say the place was busy, but we had to wait nearly an hour for our food, and they didn't even bring everyone's food out. It took another 15 minutes for them to bring the rest of the food. Overall, the chips and queso was very good, and the food came out fresh and hot. My tacos were delicious. Our waiter was very nice and apologetic about the wait time. The place had a very nice interior and had clean bathrooms, to go along with a great ambiance. Overall, this place gave us a pretty solid experience and I would recommend it if you are looking for good Mexican food in the Tulsa area.

It's well-worn but clean. Staff is quick and friendly. The prices are very reasonable. You'll leave full, but not bloated. I've been a fan of El Rio Verde for many years and always look forward to eating here. It's not a large place and only has perhaps four or five booths and a half-dozen tables, and it fills up fast at lunch. They're known for their "Wet Burrito," but the enchiladas and burritos are also outstanding. The refried beans are fresh and made in-house. The salsa is freshly made too and very good, but not memorable like the food. You'll see people from all walks of life eating here - couples, single moms with children, police officers, business people, blue collar workers, and everyone in-between. If you want really good Mexican food that is not TexMex or from a chain restaurant, try this place! You won't regret it! One of my favorite places in Tulsa. However, as of this review, be aware that Utica Avenue, just east of the restaurant, has been blocked to north-bound traffic only for water main replacement, so getting into the neighborhood is easier than leaving. Plan to go toward downtown on the service road next to I-244 for most efficient egress.
