This is what was in our food a piece of hair with skin attached to it
    Cathy W.

This is the worst place ever to eat my husband, and I decided to go to mariachis in broken arrows since we have not been there in a hot minute, this place used to be amazing until today, as we were eating I reached down to eat some rice and beans, and in the picture below, you will see what we found, we showed our waitress which by the way was very sweet, As she brought the manager over,he said he would take care of it. He gave us a five dollar discount. We could not even finish our meal, it was so disgusting I almost puked and still want to just writing the review and talking about it. As described in the picture below, it was a piece of hair with the skin attached to it., Very disgusting it makes me wonder if they even wash their hands while returning from the restroom. We will never eat at this place ever again and I highly suggest that you all use precautions as well.

    St. Patrick's day Margarita

Looking for a new Mexican joint in town so popped in for lunch. This was the morning after St. Patty's day and their chalkboard out front had a couple of beer and margarita specials posted. I asked if the specials were still in effect and heard the waiter ask the manager who said he would honor them although they were for the night before. Our server promptly delivered chips and salsa and took our drink orders. The chips were crisp and great for dipping without being too thick. The salsa was fresh with just a hint of cilantro, but really needed a dash of heat. The salsa was family friendly and even a toddler could enjoy it. I ordered the La Hawaiiana with steak. The presentation is really nice with a pineapple sliced in half, then hollowed out and filled with grilled strips of steak, onions, bell pepper and pineapple chunks and rice and beans on a separate plate. The meat and vegetables were nicely cooked and the pineapple gives it a sweet flavor. She ordered the #3 Combo that came with a Chili Relleno and Enchilada. Hers was supposed to be a chicken enchilada, but came out cheese, so we had to flag down and waiter who quickly brought it the chicken enchilada. The chicken in the enchilada was sliced rather than shredded so you could really taste the meat. The relleno was nicely fried and the sauce added a nice tart punch. I wasn't expecting anything special when I ordered the margarita but it arrived and was bright green. Guess they still had St. Patty's mix to use up and was a nice surprise. The draft beer was also served very cold. The decor is typical for most Mexican places in town. I can see where it could be very loud in there when busy as several people had commented. Overall the food and service were okay and if in the area would probably stop in again.

Burrito El Bravo A little spicy but awesome!

The house margaritas are amazing! The homemade salsa is the best ive had around here. The food is sometimes hit or miss. Had the best luck with the fajitas and the burritos. All in all not a bad place I would definitely go back.

Low quality food. Stale chips, almost no cheese on the nachos. No flavor in the refried beans. Low quality fast food.

I found it when he asked if there was a place I'd want to go to and I suggested somewhere in west BA because he was loving way east and I'm in Tulsa. I looked on Yelp and suggested Los Vaqueros, which just happened to already be one of his favorite places. We have come back many times together since our first meeting because the service is solid with friendly staff, the food is reliably always good, and we like hopping next door when we are done and shooting some pool. He always asks them to make shrimp quesadillas. They aren't on the menu, but they will make them and they are good! The shrimp are large and juicy. I love a lunch special when we've come for lunch (like we did for our first date), but at dinner time, I tend to lean towards the margarita chicken. Super good. A nice portion of grilled veggies, and the chicken is always moist. I like that it is pretty colorful on here. I told him that was something g that o liked when we came here on our first date. But they keep lighting lower, so it's not shockingly colorful. I just really enjoy it here!

They had a live band, and Gabby the clown was making the coolest balloon yo-yos. She spent some one-on-one time with little mama showing her tricks, which made her night. Our server was 10/10, food was 10/10, and we shared the Monterey Jack steak and bacon wrapped (yes, bacon wrapped) chicken fajitas and they were MONEY. Portion size was huge too -- we still have leftovers today. The $5 margarita special was strong and tasty, and little miss even got to ride her first mechanical bull. Safe to say we'll definitely be back.

Since this was our first visit here, we had to order our comparison dishes. Those are guacamole, birria tacos and street tacos. When we received the chips and salsa, I noticed the salsa lacked some cilantro, but had a unique flavor, different from our other favorite Mexican food establishments. My wife was really fond of it, but said it was ok. I really liked it, even if it lacked cilantro. The guacamole came out and it looked like my guac that make at home. It was very good, didn't need any additional salt and was not overpowering in lime. I'd give it 10/10. My wife ordered the chicken street tacos. She said they were the best out of all the places we go. The chicken was flavorful and the tortillas didn't fall apart. It came with a tomatillo crema that was infused with jalapeños and was too spicy for her. I got the Birria tacos and they were especially good with the crema. The birria consumé was excellent. The rice was fluffy and tender and the refried beans were on point. They serve Coke products which includes Coke Zero and they were quick with the refills. We will definitely put this place as #2 on our list of go-to Mexican cuisine establishments. They are located in the Rose District, so the prices will be slightly higher, but it's still worth the visit.

There's a parking lot in this plaza, and we were seated immediately upon arrival. They offered complementary chips and dips (salsa and queso). We ordered additional guac. The chorizo queso is sooooo good! I ordered the birria taco plate and I'd say this is very authentic compared to food back home (California)! They were generous with the birria and the consome is chefs kiss!!! The staff did a wonderful job in assuring our needs were met and that we were satisfied. Really good and would order again. Rice and beans were probably above average. My dining partner asked how the chile relleno was prepared. (He doesn't like the eggy batter.) We were literally told that it came premade and frozen and was "just fried." Obviously, he ordered the street tacos instead. We sat at the bar and it took a bit to get waited on but the manager jumped in and gave us water and silverware. I liked my Blackberry-Rosemary Marg but I honestly didn't feel like it had much tequila in it. The regular marg was just OK. Since it is a tequila bar and we sat at the bar, I would have liked to have discussed tequilas but my bad for not asking. Would have loved to have done a tasting. The menu was informative. I would go back when in south Tulsa. Not sure I would make it a destination. (Well, maybe. Those enchiladas were good! It is a cute place.

We arrived around 6:45pm for the 7pm bingo, only to find out it wasn't being held on the patio as advertised. That was fine--it was hot out anyway. We were shown to a small indoor section and luckily grabbed the last high-top table. Service was very slow. We waited a while before anyone came by, and it took 40 minutes to get my margarita. Our food actually came out before our drinks. I ordered a skinny margarita but got something syrupy and full of sweet & sour mix instead. Tried to switch to wine, but surprise--they don't serve wine. At a full bar. Odd. The food was just okay at best. * "Cilantro lime" rice had corn and no trace of cilantro or lime. Not good. * Black beans with pico--bland. * Cheese enchilada--fine, but forgettable. * Queso tasted like El Chico (nostalgic, but not in a good way). * Salsa had zero spice. Our server was rarely around, and when we were ready to pay, we actually had to get up and ask the manager at the host stand to bring us our check. Not a great ending to the meal. Bingo was... fine. It moved fast but had long breaks in between rounds. We played five games and didn't win. Prizes were $10 gift cards--not bad, but not enough to bring us back.
