We travel a lot, so we have a black card membership and we visit many planet fitness locations across the country. This is the largest one we've ever been to! I think I counted 28 elliptical, so there's plenty of gear here for everyone. It is also one of the busiest planet fitness we've ever been to. It's Thursday at 9:30 and the place is packed! Well, I see many of the negative reviews are focused on the restrooms and showers, we are staying nearby so I did not frequent that. My husband said the men's restroom was clean. We were able to do our cardio And an abs routine. I appreciate that they have a room dedicated to abs as well as a stretching area where you can do the rest of your Matt routine. The rest of the workout machines worked as would be expected and what we see in all other planet fitness. The lady at the front desk was super friendly when we arrived and when we departed. We will stop here again if we're coming through town. I did not take any photos as the place is packed! read more

I'm a brand new member and have been in several times already. Today is the 2nd time I saw someone exercising with their shoes off. A few days ago it was an elliptical, today a stair climber. I went over and nicely asked the girl working if it was allowed and if she would ask the girl to put her shoes on, since it's very gross to be doing that on shared equipment. The girl said she'd handle it and then never came over to have the girl put her shoes on. I know memberships are cheap, but just lying to my face and not caring about hygiene are a big deal. If I have another experience like this I'll be asking for my money back. read more

I cancelled my Planet Fitness membership in person months ago, exactly as I was instructed by staff, and was explicitly told it was taken care of. Despite this, Planet Fitness has continued to withdraw money from my account, including multiple unauthorized charges, the most recent occurring today. I have contacted the gym multiple times by email and phone and have received no resolution. When I finally reached the manager by phone, ARIANA (Club Manager), she laughed, stated there was nothing she could do, and provided the regional manager's email--without offering any immediate assistance, refund, or accountability. To date, no one has resolved this issue despite repeated attempts on my end. Charging a customer after a confirmed cancellation is unacceptable. Laughing at a customer who is actively having money taken from their account is deeply unprofessional. Being passed from person to person with no action taken shows a complete lack of responsibility and basic customer service. This experience has been incredibly frustrating and financially stressful, and it has destroyed any trust I had in this location. I would strongly caution anyone considering this gym to document everything and monitor their bank statements closely. I am still awaiting a full refund and written confirmation that my membership is permanently cancelled. read more

I'm not a member here and this is the first time I've ever been in a Planet Fitness but I just wanted to give a 5 stars for the excellent customer service! I found a backpack in the middle of the road and the only identifying thing was a membership card for this gym. The guy working at the counter was king enough to put it in the lost and found and scanned the card and said the person was an active member and was going to call them and let them know that it was found. read more

Came in here the first time since I live in Brioso living and they provided free membership of the planet fitness here. I gotta say I was disappointed with the staff attitude. They only have 1 person working here on Sunday and the girl doesn't even know how to help me with the free membership form that I brought. On top of that she was giving me attitude. There was no supervisor or no one else here to help out. I never been to a gym chain where workers have much attitude and not only that don't know how to do anything lot of things. This is a great gym with plenty of space to stretch or do your workouts. I use the free weights mainly, so if the benches are taken, I'll move to another area. I do wish the mirrors on the wall went lower. I like to check my form and I'm short, so I have those blind spots. I don't like the leg press machine here. Every Planet Fitness location is different. I haven't checked out the other locations in Tucson but in Phoenix, they are better. Just like almost any other gym, not everyone wipes down their equipment. Bathrooms are a hit or miss depending on the day. I don't blame staff on that. Some girls are just nasty and need to learn to flush or properly dispose of their hygiene products. There are 2 small hair dryers here. There is a scale as you enter the hall going into the bathroom. The reason for the 3 stars...is their hydromassage lounges always seem to be malfunctioning. It's a 50/50 chance you'll get to use one and if you get one, you can't adjust the pressure level for it. read more

I've been coming since January of this year and I must say the slogan is very true it is indeed a judgement free zone. From the very first day walking in I have felt extremely comfortable working out in this gym. The staff is very helpful & full of knowledge. Since starting my fitness journey I'm proud to say I've lost well over 35lbs and I have managed to keep them off too! That's even without attending the gym every week too. Its great to walk into a gym where there's plenty of equipment available for use and not feel intimidated, I'd suggest Planet fitness to anyone regardless of your fitness level read more

Not that I've seen all the locations, but this one had the best showers thus far! Each tiled stall has a large area for changing, a mirror, a small counter, 5 hooks, and a small trash can. So luxurious. There are couple of areas for floor work and a wall full of foam rollers. Nice touches. As for the not so great aspects, there was no free weight linear leg press machine, and 4 Smith machines only. Rather poor selection, but perhaps that's what the membership here needs? Overall a nice location, but I'll be doing my leg day somewhere else. read more

By far the most DISGUSTING gym I've ever been a member of. I signed up in August 2023 and I can count on 1 hand how many times there has been hand soap and/or paper towels in the restroom. The place was shutdown for a few days for plumbing reasons yet the urinals are RARELY working. Restrooms are always dirty and needing attention. It's rare to see an employee cleaning anywhere in the facility. The filter indicator on the water fountain was on red (meaning it needed to be changed) for a week! Various machines are broken and out of order for days at a time. Raising the rates and ALLOWING MEN IN THE WOMEN'S LOCKER ROOM?! This company is (nicely put) FILTH! read more

Overall what you would expect pretty average planet fitness, good selection of equipment. The staff seem pretty responsive. There is one factor that makes this location stand out and that is there sanitation especially in the showers. It is absolutely repulsive and unacceptable. I have frequented this location daily during different times thru out the day and have never seen any one cleaning after hundreds of patrons use their facility. I have experienced the showers being littered with used razors and even feces. I wish this was an exaggeration, but it's not. someone should contact the health department or maybe even an attorney. I just got my membership to planet fitness..... I chose this location because I liked the area, and it was right off the interstate. Something as simple and trivial as poor customer service will have now encouraged me to start going to another location and contacting corporate. If you frequent this location, you know the hydro beds are in the front. One in particular is right beneath the neon purple PL light, which is distracting to me, while I'm trying g to relax after a hard work out. Today.... while completely empty, I requested a particular bed, and was denied; the reason was "not to disrupt rotation"..... WHAT ROTATION? No one was in there..... I could see, if my reason was trivial like, I liked a particular number.... no.... it's because that particular bed has light glaring in.... so, off to another location I go.... or until management can address the bright purple light..... Only had my membership for a month or so, and second guessing it. I hate poor customer service. read more

I experienced an abundance of unprofessionalism from staff when $80 worth of hygiene products, pre workout, etc. was taken out of my locker by staff, and was told that its okay to leave personal items in the locker overnight as long as it is in use. They were able to recover a sweatband and sneakers, but everything else is lost. HUGE lack of communication and privacy. I will not be returning. read more

If your goal is to workout and build serious muscle, this gym isn't for you. No squat rack. Can't deadlift on Smith machines. Can't wear anything that staff member believes is too low cut (standards seem completely arbitrary). Can't put weights down where they make virtually any sound. Staff members are generally quick to give you problems. Only a single water fountain in the entire place is not cool. I expect more from a gym. On the bright side, showers are nice. read more

Nice big gym and friendly staff during my first visit. On my last visit they were cleaning floors with chemicals that were irritating (respiratory). I asked a worker if they could pause until I wrapped up on the cycle. The worker initially did; but then came back and started mopping right next to me without discussion. I said that I had asked him nicely, and he replied that the manager Scott or Scottie told him to keep mopping. What was disappointing was there was no discussion back to me (the requester) and the manager essentially set the worker up for a conflict with me. Later, the General Manager Scott, or Scottie walked up (I later realized that he had just arrived and was giving commands over the phone) and said, "we are going to start cleaning, and I told [the worker] to continue." He constantly referred to me as "dude" after I had given him my name several times. There was no customer service and no respect. The attitude was, we are going to do this, and we don't need to communicate with the customers. It was unfortunate that the initial worker was put in that position and shame on Scott/Scottie for lack of respect, customer service, and leadership. If someone would have came back and said, "could we get you to move to another area that is now dry," --no problem... simple respect and courtesy goes a long way... Some Employees are sometimes friendly, other employees are always nice, or bare minimum... cordial at least. Atmosphere is occasionally welcoming. Gym stuff: there are always machines available and I almost never have to wait. It's never overwhelmingly busy, even at peak times. It's always clean, not stinky like many gyms. The spa area is always open and clean also. The bathrooms are nice. It's great for the person who wants to get fit, or lift basic weights, but not a body builder type place. Good for regular peeps who just wanna stay fit. read more

This gym is in deed a "no intimidation zone". If you are a shy person to work out at a gym. This place is for you, because there all levels of fitness in this place. Staff is courteous, the place is always clean spotless, because you always see the staff cleaning, dusting, sweeping and disinfecting. The machines are in good conditions. This gym is a good place to workout; however, the staff needs to be retrained on PROFESSIONALISM. This is a place of business where the customer's satisfaction should be the top priority. I overheard one of the employees, by the name "Fernando" criticizing customers on how they workout. Clearly, this employee needs to be retrained on how to operate in a professional and business environment, along with, maintaining their personal opinions to theirselves and treating individuals with respect. Recently, I've also noticed the lack of cleanliness that has been ongoing in this current facility. In addition, I've also noticed the fact that the fire extinguishers are currently not up to date with their yearly inspection, as the last inspection was in January 2017. At the end of the day, this is a place of business. If you want to maintain your customer satisfaction, there is clearly a need of improvement and retraining that needs to be done. Been going to the one at swan and Broadway for a few months, canceled my membership today. It is clean and plenty of equipment, but didnt like how all the employees lean against counter and watches everyone. Made me very uncomfortable. Hardly ever got a hello, hi, bye, hope to see you again soon. Having pizza on certain mondays was really hard, trying to work out and all you can see was people eating pizza and then the smell, I had to leave, trying to do a life style change and having pizza there for you to eat, really?. Then when I canceled today I told the young lady why and she actually typed that I was to busy and had no time. Um no I said I dont like you all standing around and staring at me. Have to many employees on to just stand around and talk and stare, maybe have them walk around and see how people are doing, have any questions on their workout. Just a thought read more

Worked out here once while traveling, using my Black Card membership. It is one of the nicest Planet Fitness locations I've been to. Large facility, lots of equipment. Best of all, this location has the Hammer Strength machines for chest and back exercises. Not many PF locations I've been to have these, and I've been spoiled on then at my home location. Had a great workout here. Staff was friendly and courteous, and I saw employees walking around cleaning machines during my time there, kudos. read more

Update 4/6/17- seriously my biggest regret this year has been joining this gym. They have now charged me four times in one month. DO NOT USE THIS GYM. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR FINANCIAL INFO. THEY WILL CHARGE YOU MULTIPLE TIMES IN THE SAME MONTH FOR NO REASON AT ALL AND WILL DO NOTHING TO HELP YOU. Do not trust this gym. They are liars. The employee I signed up with told me that when I needed to cancel, which I said I would, after one month (due to finances) all I had to do was call and this could be done. That is the only reason I even gave them any of my information. Well, this was false. Apparently you have to go in and cancel in person, at the location you signed up at. I was never told this. I am now 2,000 miles away from this location, about to get charged again because when I called to cancel, as I was promised I would be able to, I was told that it is simply impossible. I read the reviews about Planet Fitness being scam artists, conning people out of their money and not allowing them to cancel but the girl I spoke to when I signed up assured me that those reviews were hogwash and this would not be the case. I guess it is my fault for giving them the benefit of the doubt - so please, do not make the same mistake as me. Do not give them a chance. Terrible gyms, across the country - I stopped at a few along my travels and they got worse and worse each time. COMPLETE WASTE OF MONEY. This gym is great to workout, especially if you enroll in their classes. They currently have a personal trainer, Xavier (I think that is how you spell it.) He is great and knows how to train people. He will correct you on the exercise so you can get the full benefit of it. I'm just sad he is leaving this gym. I was hoping the owner would try to convince him to stay. I recently joined the one here in Tucson, AZ, but was enrolled in the one in San Diego, CA. These gyms are awesome to workout, with no huge commitments, super cheap, and includes a personal trainer!! Great state of the art gym, I love that it's open 24/7, and has a great variety of machines. You can watch and listen to many channels on the TVs while you're using the aerobic machines. The showers are roomy enough to take a shower without banging your elbows against the walls (unlike another nearby gym), and you actually have a place to put your shampoo and stuff. They have a digital scale in the locker room, as I always like to monitor my weight (unlike another nearby gym, which doesn't have any scales). The only down side is the pectoral fly machine is so popular, that I often can't get onto it. They really need to get another one. read more

The bright purple and yellow interior is cheery and unique, the equipment at this location is brand new, and all the of staff have been knowledgeable and simply lovely. At $10 per month for the basic package (includes use of locker rooms, cardio equipment, weights, and floors work areas), you can't beat the price. For $20 a month you also get to bring unlimited guests, use their tanning beds/booths and massage chairs/beds, and visit any of their other locations in the U.S. They have a full time personal trainer on staff who instructs roughly a dozen small-group (1-5 person) classes per day. Planet Fitness also has a 30-minute total body workout circuit room that makes getting a good work-out simple and quick. I love this place! read more
