Chocolate, creme and pistachio. All with delicious spumoni flavor- That's Italian! Pay cash! They take cards but saw some high amount. So pay cash at least know what to expect. . Do not quibble here either. Got a few to go and everyone loved them.

Uncle Louie G is one of my default favorites and their other longtime competitor Ralph's. This is one my neighborhood pick for Italian ice. On a New York summer's Saturday afternoon following brunch, I came for one small scoop of Italian ice $4.00. Delicious. There is no sales receipt when payment is in cash. The menu is affixed on their wall. I chose Sweet Georgia Peach which was a good choice. It is not entirely sweet but a good consistency. I find the flavor names awkward and very aberrant. "Wassup Watermelon, Pistachio Nutz, Rainbow Cookie, My Honey Doo, F.D.N.Y. Cherry, Cantaloupe Balls, et al." Uncle Louie G also offers ice cream, but my primary purpose is Italian ice. The ice cream also have vegetarian, non-dairy lactose free option. Customer service is friendly and young students who work for the summer. The young man was very accommodating to my request as I changed my mind at the last minute from watermelon to peach. Ergo, five stars for flavor + good customer service. Credit cards are accepted. There is one outdoor bench under a umbrella for shade and tables/seats for limited outdoor seating - rain or shine. It was an accomplished visit for a nice sweet cool down.

Heat wave to start summer 2025 in New York City!…read more Immediately following lunch nearby in Ozone Park, Queens, New York City, it was essential for me to attain something cold to cool down on a extreme heat advisory alert day. Italian icee! This business is a walk-up window kiosk as there is very limited outdoor seating - rain or shine. There is absolutely no indoor seating. I sat on their outdoor bench to consume my little Italian ice because I could not continue to trek home in the oppressive extreme heat high temperature. My trusty Yelp mobile application takes my foodie travels to Mike's Italian Ices as the nearest Italian ice business. I requested strawberry flavor as my choice of Italian ice and it was full of ice, but insufficient flavor. The flavor was very weak as I tasted mostly water from the ice. The ice as the base ingredient is not completely crushed. Near the bottom of my one small scoop $4.00 it became a small block of ice which is the same kind found in a frozen ice pop purchased in a supermarket. I remember eating a lot of frozen ice pops as a child purchased from supermarkets, but I don't like it. Not my cup of tea. Customer service is average the young male staff managed to muster a smile through the extreme heat. I had to flag to capture an associate's attention for service. I believe the employees are students working the summer months as pocket money. My sales receipt states cherry as my chosen flavor, but in truth it is strawberry. I am glad I decided on small size as I cannot stomach eating water and ice for either medium or large size icee. I certainly will not purchase either a medium or large cup of Italian ice nor ice cream for any possible return visits. The menu is affixed to their door, no vexatious large television monitors hanging overhead. I highly prefer their longtime competitors Ralph's Italian Ice and Uncle Louie G for both high quality and utter intense flavor.

Funny story, I used to wait…read moreover 3 hours to get a Shake Shack burger at Madison Square Park back when there were only 2 Shake Shack locations. Now you can conveniently order a burger in no time from a location in the airport. You place your food order from a touch screen kiosk. You can also watch your order being prepared by employees in the kitchen. This location has the typical Shake Shack vibe and flair. I ordered the single-patty ShackBurger, a made-to-order quarter pound patty of 100% Angus beef with American cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion and ShackSauce on a toasted potato bun. The burger really hit the spot before a flight. The burger was juicy, well-seasoned, and made fresh, with the perfect balance of sauce, cheese, and bun. Simple, classic, and satisfying. For an airport location, the quality held up surprisingly well. Service was a bit slow but everything came out hot and neatly put together. Prices are a bit higher at the airport, but the consistency and flavor made it worth it. Solid choice if you're craving a reliable burger at JFK and want something familiar and filling before takeoff.

Perhaps they're evocative of my childhood and youth, when every diner and burger joint served them. So I headed to Shake Shack for some lovely delicious fries. Ordering is a pain. You use a kiosk. No live people. I had gotten a bottle of water. The screen said to "scan" any other items. There is no barcode and no scanner. After saying three or four times that I couldn't scan the water, someone came over. You have to page through the menu. Ugh. Paid, typed in my name, and waited. And waited. Finally, my name was called, and I got my fries and some napkins. I sat I a lounge chair right across from Shake Shack, and.....the fries were cold. Terrible, awful, crushing disappointment. I so rarely eat fries these days. I was anticipating hot, golden, lovely crispy fries. I got lukewarm semi-limp mostly underdone fries. A sad, sad feeling. There's no seating at Shake Shack, but you can sit at a gate or take your food with you. Employees were working very hard, so it's strange that my fries were cold. I picked them up right away when my name was called. I probably won't come back, if I am in this terminal another time.
