All the flavors and textures just tied in so well that it didn't feel overwhelming. The vanilla bread was indeed very spongy and had just the right amount of strawberries decorating it. Even though the fruits were glazed, it wasn't with the kind of glaze that's overbearing and sweet; it was quite neutral (as advertised). The 4 stars is only because I don't think one cake warrants a 5 stars; I need to go and experience the hospitality and other cakes first. They carry an assortment of traditional cakes (full and sliced), pies, cookies, pastries, cheesecakes, cupcakes, ice cream and coffee/tea drinks. A wide variety of flavors in each, so you're bound to find something sweet to satisfy most here. They are a classic bakery so from what I can tell, they don't carry items that are gluten, dairy or nut free. I've purchased their apple pie, fruit tart, berry napoleon, red velvet and chocolate fudge cakes from this or other locations in the past and they're all solid choices for desserts to share with a larger group, though I find a lot of their cake options to be on the richer side. My most recent encounter with their cakes came in the form of a slice of their seven layer cake $9.95 which is thin layers of yellow cake alternating with chocolate cream mmm pretty tasty, and their caramel cake $9.95 which had a layer of chocolate cake in the middle, sandwiched by caramel cream and white cake on either side.
