This pizza place is a small chain around the greater Boston area and serves light, chewy, and slightly crispy pizzas!! I especially love the corn pizza and it came at a good price too. The staff were friendly and it only takes them 5-10 minutes to prepare the pizza. Highly recommend checking it out. This place has a good amount of interior seatings but the store is a little small. Really enjoyed lunch here with the natural bright lighting and very cool AC despite a hot summer (and huge wood-fire oven)! They have coffees and paninis if you're looking for a quick lunch, but I came for the pizza and pasta-- which were fresh and delicious. Service was attentive and quick too. Highly recommended, especially with more comfortable seating and parking options than their Chelsea location. Ciao is still my favorite pizza spot in the Boston area!

It was our first time at this restaurant, and it did not disappoint! We were a party of 4, and the restaurant was busy! The staff was so nice and polite, and we were happy to wait. The food was excellent! The chef brought us a Bruschetta to try, and OMG! It was heaven! We came for the pizza, but the pasta was also exceptional and clearly made in-house! It quickly became our favorite pizza and pasta restaurant! We will be back! Don't be afraid of the wait! It is worth it!

I had wanted to try Ciao for a while but never made it to Chelsea. When I heard this new location opened closer to me, I went immediately. A few logistical things to know about Ciao before you go. It's a very very small restaurant. They only have about 20 seats. They do a big takeout business, but with nowhere for customers to wait for their food, customers just stand in the middle of the restaurant. When we went, they hadn't started to serve alcohol yet, but they plan to according to the menu. Overall, Ciao has great pizza! The pizza came out fast and the crust was cooked to perfection. The roasted tomatoes on the Margherita were delicious and the Salsiccia pizza was covered in sausage.

My husband was so excited to try this place out and we were lucky enough to visit last night. Dinner was PERFECT. Ten out of ten! We got the greens salad, which was tossed in light dressing with a few shaved red onions, some grape tomatoes, delicious cheese and fresh cracked pepper and a little salt. The bowl of salad was huge, and we split it. More than enough for two! The pizza is on the smaller side, but still perfect for two (especially if you get an appetizer or salad to accompany). The cheese, basil, and sauce were all fresh and full of flavor. The dough was a delight... fresh, crispy in the right places, and fluffy and soft in the crust. I savored every bite. Waitstaff was attentive and kind, too. It was very busy when we went, but everyone seemed to have it under control. The wait for our food was not long at all, and I can't wait to go back. This is a MUST TRY!

Food was amazing to me! The pizza is up my alley as it's not super thick either. My bf is picky about his pizza as he is from Europe and says there was barely any tomato sauce though (for you Europeans) so he gives it an 2/5. Anyways, service was quick, easy and friendly. Ambiance was cozy-feeling as it is small too. I liked seeing the brick oven as well. I would go here again but with my friends or sisters lol. My bf can go get pizza else where.

Great addition to Somerville! We stopped in and had a glass of wine at the counter while we waited for our pizzas to go. I love woodfired pizza and these did not disappoint. We had the Prosciutto di Parma and the Pollo both absolute delicious. Very inviting atmosphere with fast and friendly service.

I loved this place. The food was really delicious and very nicely presented. My partner and I ordered the corn pizza, the salaccia pizza , a Caesar salad and beet salad. The portions were large, a salad would feed 2 people and the pizzas were a good size also. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The restaurant was small but cost and very clean. They were extremely efficient, not pushy and the prices were reasonable. Great evening all around.

Great addition to Ball Square, Somerville! Ciao Pizza serves wood-fired pizzas, pastas, and salads. We came here twice already in the past month. We were both blown away by how rich and delicious everything on the menu was! If you like mushrooms, then you must try their Funghi pizza. Their Caesar salad is flavorful and pairs well with the pizza. We really enjoyed their duck leg confit squash risotto too. Honestly, you can't go wrong with this restaurant. If you're a fan of thinned crust pizza, then you must come here! I'm surprised that this restaurant wasn't as crowded as expected, given how delicious the food was. But I'm also glad, because we were seated right away both times. The service was great and the interior is cozy, perfect for a date night. We will be back for more (soon).

Incredible true Neapolitan style pizza. I only know of 1, maybe 2, other spots in Greater Boston that are on this level. Crust near perfect. Very tasty sauce and mozzarella. My only complaint is that I walked in to pick it up and the temperature inside the restaurant must have been 85-90 degrees. If I were planning to dine in, it wouldn't even have been possible. Nothing bad I can say about the food or service though.

I held this year's birthday dinner here. I had a good impression of Coda Restaurant Group before,…read moreand this place did not disappoint. Prosciutto: The best dish of the meal. The prosciutto slices were perfectly salty, rich in fat, and smooth, wrapped around the refreshing sweetness of kumquats, the delicate creaminess of stracciatella cheese, the crunch and nutty aroma of pistachios, and topped with a smoky touch of sumac powder. It had a rich and distinct flavor profile while offering a gentle and comfortable taste. Spaghetti: The refreshing lemon and basil paired with the umami crab meat is a classic combination. Chili oil added a touch of spice and aroma, while pea tendrils provided a light herbal fragrance. The sauce was emulsified very smoothly, making it both rich and palatable, although the spaghetti itself didn't leave a particularly strong impression. Half Chicken Milanese: A large portion, perfect as a main course to share. The chicken cutlet was thick, fried to a fragrant perfection, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Wrapped in lettuce and eaten with mayonnaise, it brought back memories of the fast food stalls outside my school when I was a child. This was my first time trying rhubarb stems. The tangy and refreshing taste cut through the richness, and the texture was like softer celery and firmer green bell peppers - quite interesting. Duck Bacon Pizza: The most highly rated pizza online, and it was truly delicious! The rich, savory flavor of the duck bacon, the succulent richness of the shimeji mushrooms, and the mellow sweetness of the caramelized onions, combined with the creamy cheese base, made it a calorie bomb, but I still felt it was the right choice. Unfortunately, the crust was a bit hard, making it difficult to cut with a knife. Cotechino Pizza: This was my first time trying a pizza with sweet potatoes, and I couldn't help but admire their innovation. The colors were vibrant, and the sweetness of the sweet potatoes paired with the smoky aroma of Cotechino sausage bits created a full yet harmonious flavor, evoking the feeling of being in the southern Italian countryside in early autumn, basking in the bright sunshine and the satisfaction of a bountiful harvest. The restaurant offered menus printed with "Happy Birthday," and the waiters provided professional cake-cutting service. Overall, a very comfortable experience.

Have wanted to try Gufo for a couple of years now, and finally made it in for an early birthday…read moredate night. We didn't make a reservation so we ended up at the bar but I didn't mind. I got the after school snack cocktail which was very refreshing and paired nicely with the meal. We split the Bucatini Verde and it was so delicious. I couldn't even pinpoint the flavors I was eating but it was amazing. Fresh pasta and just really good flavor. We saw a dish online we wanted, but the server explained they use that pasta for different dishes and change out the sauce, so I'm glad I got to try it. We then split the Pepperoni + Vodka Sauce pizza which was good. I'll be honest I was a tad disappointed in the pizza. It was flavorful but I think I was expecting the same feeling I got when I had the pasta. It was good, but just that, good. Crust was a little burnt. I did love the vibes and pasta and it's definitely known in Cambridge for a good reason. I'd recommend a reservation if you'd like a table as it does fill up fast.
