We had a delightful dinner at Ciao Trattoria on January 20, 2026. My wife and I opted for the Dinner for Two which includes an antipasto (two choices) - an appetizer, a primo (ditto) - usually a pasta dish, a secondo (ditto) - usually a meat or seafood dish, a contorno (side dish) and a choice of a dolce - dessert. Each dish is shared (except dessert, where we could each choose our own). Everything was delicious... superb! We've been to Italy a few times and what this restaurant offers reminded us of some of the best authentic Italian cuisine we had in Tuscany. The Dinner for Two menu changes every month, so this gives us a good excuse to return soon. Of course, we could also return sooner to try other options on the current Dinner for Two menu! They do have a full alla carte menu (Antipasti, Primi, Secondi, Contorni and Dolci) in addition to the Dinner for Two menu. The prices on the menu may look a bit on the high side, but keep in mind that the listed prices include tax and... this is a big one... tips are optional (perhaps even discouraged)... how civilized! Ciao happened to be our dinner stop on the way up to Spokane. We arrived shortly before 5 so we were the first to be seated and as the night went on, the cozy indoor dining room filled up. The ambiance reminded us of an authentic Italian Trattoria and our server was friendly and gracious. I started with a Champagne and house-made Limoncello cocktail which was lovely after a day of driving. We shared a generous portion of the lasagne and 2 afagatos for dessert. The lasagne was obviously fresh made with wonderful flavor profile combining the rustic tomato sauce with the traditional bechamel sauce on top. Came here the night before the Ironman, looking for what we heard was the best fettuccine Alfredo - they did not disappoint!! Home made pasta that was rich and delicious and the chicken was done to perfection. Our athlete loaded up on the breadsticks and dip, the fettuccine and finished it off with his favorite tiramisu. We returned to Ciao Trattoria again and had a lovely time. I got the Pasco Sour drink and my husband and I enjoyed two entrees and a side each. The food was fantastic! The restaurant may be on the smaller side, but it's beautifully decorated and creates a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The moment you walk in, you are greeted by the incredible aroma of the food-it smell amazing!! The dishes themselves were just as impressive, and everything we ordered tasted fantastic! I have been wanting to try this place for a long time as I continue to see it advertise on social media. I was not disappointed when I came in here last night with my kids for a quick dinner. The place was completely empty when we arrived at about five something. But within the next half an hour, it was completely packed. I felt really bad for the server who was there by herself, but she was a rockstar! I didn't get her name, but she had beautiful red curly hair, and she was smiling and kind in spite of a pretty busy dinner service. She was attentive, and she was absolutely fantastic. I ordered a Cosmo and was told they had no cranberry juice but could substitute pomegranate juice - which was fine - but when the drink came, it was in a tiny Champagne glass that was only half full. I had the Top Sirloin with Pistachio Crust, which was a nice sized 12: oz, it was presented beautifully, but was kind of flavorless. The wife had the Pappardella alla Puttaneska which was very flavorful and spicy, and the pasta was cooked appropriately. We both agreed to share the Italian Wedding Cake dessert, but they were out of it. We would have had a couple of cappuccinos and an aperitif with dessert, but that's the way it goes. I didn't have a reservation since I came at 4:15 or so on a Saturday, and the host highly recommended next time getting a reservation if you are planning on eating Friday or Saturday there--however he was able to seat us (party of 2). The service was quick and very friendly, and the space was cute, perfect for a date night. The food was very tasty and you get a decent portion--the rolls that come with the meal were so warm and fresh. Also you've gotta treat yourself to some desserts well worth it! The service here was excellent! Wait staff is paid a living wage so tips and tax is included in the price of each item. The price you see on the menus is the final price. Quite refreshing! The food was excellent. We had the fig and prosciutto flatbread as a starter, tagliatelle Al Gorgonzola and cannelloni Florentine for entrees and meatballs as a side. We've traveled through Italy several times, and plan each stop based on food we want to try. Today, while traveling from Walla Walla, WA., toward Portland, we decided to take a detour based on reviews for Ciao Trattoria, because we haven't found anywhere that is like the food we've had in Italy, and we miss it. We are regulars at Ciao Trattoria and it is our favorite place to eat! We have been going to Ciao since they opened and have enjoyed every single dining experience. Ciao has a great lunch menu with delicious pastas, salads, and sandwiches. I really enjoy the chicken pesto sandwich and my husband loves the meatball sub. For dinner, there are so many options! The drinks are perfection and we love all of the wine options. The service at Ciao is top notch. We never have to worry about our food or drinks running out! It is a small little place located in the heart of Downtown Pasco and it brings people in from all over the Tri-Cities. We could not ask for a better restaurant in Downtown! Had this place on my radar for a while and tried it out for the first time last night. We met another couple for dinner, and I'm glad I made reservations as this place is small and it was packed (even on a random Tuesday night!). The guys both ordered the Gorgonzola steak w/gnocchi (Bistecca Gorgonzola), I splurged on the wild mushroom ravioli, and our fourth ordered the lemon pasta w/shrimp (Scampi Di Gambero). All of us were impressed and thoroughly enjoyed each dish. I went in thinking for sure I'd have leftovers... NOPE! The portions were just right, so of course the guys insisted on dessert, opting for the Soaked Italian Wedding Cake. None of us had ever had it before and we all agreed it was the perfect end to the meal. We all left satisfied and overjoyed to support this local gem.
