As a 24 year old girl with a car that has 256,000 miles with a check engine light on I can be an easy target for a mechanic. I used to work at Renato's next door and the baker would bring his cars to Cicero and talked so highly of him. My mom also said that he was an honest mechanic which I know, everyone thinks doesn't exist. I brought the car in first for an inspection thinking I was in for a lot of work and he called me to say I needed an oil change and I had a wire loose that was causing my check engine light to go on, I was so relieved. The next time I brought the car in with a flat tire. Instead of trying to convince me to get a new tire he patched it-$12 and I was done. I really like that you can bring the car at night until the gas station is closed and leave the keys with the attendant. I feel that this is a neighborhood business where they do the right thing. read more

This place is garbage. Went to just get a tire patch and the guy turned me away because it was 4 o'clock and he says he tired and has other cars to work on. I said u guys close at 5 my tire would take 10mins tops. Never gonna to this shit whole again. read more

Today there are many that are leading cars thus Service is at the Dealership. However, there are many people that may own their own car and the problem where does one service their owned vehicles. The landscape is full with those that will charge for work that is NOT needed . Let me cite a specific case with my vehicle . It's a Ford Explorer over 10 yrs old w/ 130k. Ok . I had some issues that needed attention one was exhaust system , tune up . When I contacted Glenn he advised the Cat Converter May be an issue , but one that you can live with . The cost to replace between $ 800 to $ 1,000 his advice the noise is still ok if it gets bad then revisit the issue , but save your money . Second issue a tune up . Glenn reporter that the plugs are non AC but top of the line and really don't need attention it's a waste of money !! Other work was done oil and lube and emergency break issue . This is honesty!! Folks you DON'T find this today you really need to look hard and you get lucky. Once again thanks to Glenn , Andrew and staff !!!! read more
