I'm not one to write negative reviews for several reasons, but this one is well earned. Their…read moreservice is unreliable and they seem to underestimate the value of potential new customers. They over-promise and under-deliver. I am new to the area, so it was my first time dealing with this company. Since my riding mower is in need of maintenance, and they are in the same town as myself, I called them two days ago and scheduled for them to pick it up today at 2:00 pm. By 2:30 I called and was reassured that the driver may be running late. So I waited. Patiently.... By 5:30 I called and was told that the driver had gone for the day and that he had told them that the mower was not out by 11 am so it (the mower) was therefore not collected. OK. First of all the voice message from the driver the previous day confirmed to me that the pick up would occur at 2 pm today. Second, no one told me that the mower had to be out waiting for it to be picked up. Moreover, I would not leave it out to be picked up: it is a riding mower and they will need the key, therefore I am not as naive to assume there is no risk of it being stolen with the ignition key in the switch. Let us assume that is the case, that I would leave the mower outside. Is it that difficult to ring the door bell? But that is besides the point since 11 am was not the agreed time. At any rate, the lady at the other end of the line, admittedly courteous, proposed during my second call at 5:30 pm proposed that my mower be picked up next week. Talk about taking responsibility for their own mistakes! It will take me less time to find someone else with a more reliable time management skill set, and who are more considerate towards their customers' own time. In fact it will take me less time to do the maintenance work myself. Oh but wait, this company ought to have the time management skill set and infrastructure since they claim to have been in this line of business for as long as they have. Hmmm. Time to consider personnel change, one that communicates between themselves. Or perhaps a change in their line of business. As far as I'm concerned I do not want to do business with a firm that underestimates the value of their future clients' time, and overestimates their management skills. Over-promising and under-delivering some people call it.

He was very apologetic for the misunderstanding about the quoted price and wanted to show his appreciation for our patronage. Maybe we'll give it one more shot. Here is my original review: "I have used Cichy's twice before for routine work like changing trailer tires, and my MIL used them for a muffler replacement. Both times, during the COVID pandemic. The service and cost was HORRENDOUS. In fact, it took them a month and constant prodding to get the tires done. So when my MIL needed a new gas filter I was hesitant to use Cichy's but figured I'd give him one more shot. I called ahead for an estimate, gave the car make model and year and part needed and got an approximate cost of $45-$50. My MIL was there for two hours because they didn't have the part after saying they'd order it ahead. And they charged her $108 for a 15 minute filter change. " Not sure who quoted that original price but in the end the owner gave my MIL a free repair, which was not requested, but was much appreciated.

I feel that I can just leave my car to John here without having to compare notes from several places. This is one of the few places that will honestly tell you that you don't need to fix something you think you needed instead of always trying to scare you into fixing things you don't actually need. At one time I brought my car in for ABS light and started by saying I might need to replace the ABS module. John didn't take advantage of this at all and completely fixed the issue by replacing two electrical cables. I only wish that they were located closer to me so that it's easier when I needed to come back a few times to debug problems. Nonetheless, I'd still spend the extra one hour round trip to drive here instead of going to the mechanics who are closer, including one that has a suspicious 5-star rating with 100+ reviews.

It's like first class on Virgin Airlines versus Greyhound bus. Both will get you across country but you may get stabbed on Greyhound. INTERCITY LINES has a dedicated fleet of clean, modern trucks. You can call the professional driver on their cell to meet for pick up. So easy. Other, cheaper, companies use a broker and give your car to some trucker with the lowest bid. Horror stories from these cheap transporters include: 1) Drivers who don't have a cell phone 2) Drivers who don't speak English 3) The car above your car leaking oil and battery acid on your car 4) Placing your car directly behind the dirty black diesel exhaust pipes 5) Bolting down a car so tight it breaks the suspension Need I continue.........why do you want this nightmare? Also, many people spend months looking for a beautiful car only to discover it in a state far, far away. You might want to save money driving it back home. But how would you feel about your new baby when a big rock chips or cracks the windshield on the long highway drive home. Or your new classic car breaks down in the Mojave desert with no cell service. That romantic bonding experience with your new ride just turned into a sour, sad baptism......and now you have a long long ride home to feel depressed about it. I know from experience. Instead use INTERCITY LINES to drop off your new car. It's like the biggest Christmas present in the world when that truck opens the back door and they unwrap your gift. (see my a few of my photos) Yes, they even wrap your car with a car cover so it doesn't even get dusty!! I just love this company. Lastly, yes movie stars and TV stars use INTERCITY LINES. But the staff at the office treat everyone like you are special. They always greet me by phone with a warm "hello" and give me excellent customer service. Jim and Sharon are rock stars!!!!!!! That is why I continue to use them exclusively and recommend them to everyone who needs to ship a car. The are #1 - THE BEST !!

Up front the cost for the inspection was about $730 which we felt was a steal for the peace of mind we received. Our inspection included interior and exterior review, wood insects, water fixtures, heating fixtures, attic, basement, and radon. All reports except radon were delivered just hours after inspection and radon promptly at the 24h mark. We are in the process of purchasing a very old home, Alan arrived much ahead of schedule (on incredibly short notice by the way) and conducted a full exterior inspection before we arrived for our scheduled time, he was friendly, enthusiastic and at every step explained not only what he was looking for, but the current situation and offered suggestions on replacements and repairs we could make along the way. Alan made us aware that he specializes in homes as old as ours was and offered incredible insight on what we can expect, what was normal for the time, improvements, etc. and offered to answer questions past our inspection which was so very thoughtful. We had a million and one places we could pick for a home inspection but Tiger was the first one we picked back in 2019 and have no inclination to change. Their inspectors knows their stuff, everyone from the admin staff to management to field inspectors are wonderful caring people that do a great job because they love their job. We can't thank them and especially Alan for their assistance in our home search!
