It's been awhile since I've been to a cici's and I remembered why when I visited. While it was better than I remembered, I'm not sure I would go out of my way to visit again. It is a good value at about $10 a person. The buffet was smaller than I remember, but there's still a small salad buffet, about 6-8 types of pizza, and 3-4 desserts. It was mostly clean (my biggest complaint from before) but it was incredibly busy so they may have just not caught up yet. They had a few giant red pepper and Parmesan shakers at the drink station but I would've preferred smaller versions on each table or even single serve packets. Most people were just taking the big shaker to their table so they ended up being table-side anyway. Just how I remembered it. Our local Cici's pizza closed down, but once we found out there was one in the area, we had to go. It's been over 10 years. The pizza is actually pretty good for the fact that you're getting speedy pizza. I'm also looking at it for the fact that they don't have a real pizza oven or the fact that it's convenient. They've doubled their prices, but they are the same CiCi's. We don't have any in my area, so when I found this place I had to take my daughter. The pizza is still a step above average, and they keep them coming. My favorite is the zesty cheddar pizza that has either ham or bacon. This is a good place to come and get full. But don't expect top of the line pizza or service. I mostly came to relive my childhood with my children. It just sucks that they increased the prices, but I understand with inflation. read more

I've never been before but my girlfriend thought it was nostalgic so we checked it out. I think buffets are weird in general but the food was hot and good. Fast rotations forsure. I have not been to a Cici's restaurant in a long time - and definitely not since we moved to Ohio. For some reason, I found myself craving all-you-can-eat pizza [ok, it was a toss-up between Cici's or an Indian buffet, so I guess I was just feeling fat], and the husband made the final decision. Honestly, my expectations were low, but they were exceeded. I enjoyed the pizza more than I thought I would. At $5.55, it's really a bargain. This CiCI's is located right around the corner from Jungle Jims, in the same parking lot, which makes it incredibly handy after an afternoon of shopping. This location has a lot of variety, and the staff is more than helpful. They have no problems taking your pizza request and even bringing the slices you requested out to your table for you when it comes out! Although there's normally so much variety you never really have that problem. They even cater to the vegetarian crowd! Cici's Pizza is cheap and easy...and that's a compliment. The pizza and pasta on the open buffet is decent if not all that great. The good thing is that you can taste everything and decide what is best for you. I had the pepperoni, meat lovers (or their version of that), Alfredo and thin veggie. Pepperoni was passable but nothing special. You can get something similar from your grocer's frozen food section. The meat lovers was pretty damn good, surprisingly enough. Lots of different traditional pizza meats and a smattering of peppers and onions gave it extra flavor. The Alfredo was pretty meh, just like the sauce for the pasta. There wasn't much flavor there that I didn't add myself with extra parmesan cheese and pepper flakes. I liked the veggie pizza, though, mostly for it's delicious cracker thin crust. There was lots of flavor and texture that I like in a good pizza. Unfortunately, the buffet ran out of several pizzas several times which caused a backup. The wait wasn't worth it for the mediocre selections coming out next. So, I went to the dessert pizza which on this day was an apple danish--THAT was REALLY tasty. When it comes to dentistry my wife prefers familiarity over convenience, doing an 80-mile round trip to the dentist she has known most of her life and one that she trusts implicitly. Thankfully, whenever she is referred to an orthodontist for a root canal he is a little closer to home. However, I always have to drive her to her appointment as the numbing she has always turns her a bit groggy and (it has to be said) somewhat loopy. So, this how I found myself in Fairfield - FAR from my favorite place in the (so called) Greater Cincinnati environs, mainly because Dixie Highway is perhaps one of the ugliest, unfriendliest and despicably-designed roads I have ever had the misfortune to drive along. It is one of those ludicrous locations where it is IMPOSSIBLE to walk anywhere and you are forced to drive from ugly little strip mall to ugly little strip mall doing nothing but adding to the general traffic disorder. Stoplight after stoplight after stoplight, each light representing another half-dozen "nothing" stores bookended by a fast food joint or two. Jungle Jim's is perhaps the only worthwhile destination in the whole area and whilst my wife's mouth was being clamped open I thought I would stroll around JJ's unlimited wonderment, perhaps also finding a bite to eat nearby to quench my lunchtime hunger. Cici's Pizza is part of the "Jungle Jim Complex" tucked around at the back of the enormomarket. Basically, go to JJ's main entrance and keep on walking. I was enticed to enter its portal by a sign on the front window that said "All You Can Eat Pizza Buffet - $5" The place was empty. I think three or four staff members may have actually fought one another to serve me at the front counter, so starved were they for something to do. It turns out the sign on the window lied... the all-you-can-eat buffet was not $5... it was actually $4.99!! Plus $2 for a soda. $7.40 including tax. Not too shabby at all... unlike a lot of the chairs in the joint, many of which were dirty, worn, ripped and torn, not the best first impression it has to be said. I moved tables a couple of times - I was their only customer so I had that luxury - before I found something that didn't look too rough and ready. The staff were very friendly, guiding me through the various pizza choices on offer. This was just as well, as none of the pies had any signs near them saying what the toppings were, a curious oversight. The $5 (OK, $4.99) deal covered unlimited pizza, pasta, salad and dessert and whilst I didn't go crazy with the amount I ate, the opportunity to have done so was most certainly there. There were pizza choices suitable for most any palate and I tried half-a-dozen of them, varying from vegetarian flatbread to buffalo chicken by way of pepperoni, ham (& 'something' - again, signs would have helped) and straight cheese. The salad bar wasn't overly extensive but would satisfy most people wanting some veggies with their carbs and the desserts consisted of a rather sugary pizza (a bit too sweet for my taste) plus good looking brownies and what I was informed by one of the staff were "delicious cinnamon rolls". If I'd liked cinnamon I would certainly have had one. Worn chairs aside, the restaurant is clean, tidy & well laid out. If you happen to get bored eating there is - somewhat bizarrely to my mind - an extensive games arcade in the back corner of the place. I suspect this makes it a perfect 'go to' place for families with restless children... or for groups of teenagers needing a place to hang. I can't knock the place. $5 for as much pizza as was on offer is terrific, almost unbeatable, value for money. The staff were friendly and there's a sign on the buffet saying you "only have to ask" if there's a particular type of pizza you'd like. If I'd been in a more 'troublesome' state of mind I might have taken this as a challenge and attempted to order something extravagant. However, I get the impression that the staff would have easily risen to that challenge in a heartbeat. I came away having easily satisfied my hunger and logged Cici's as somewhere I shall definitely go again... I may even hunt out their other locations (assuming the $5 deal is across the entire chain?) As for my wife, well she mumbled something that could have been a collection of swear words obscured by an anesthetized mouth when I told her where I'd been and how little I paid for my lunch. Do you like Pizza? Do you like Buffets? Do you like giant plastic cups to hold your pop? If you answered yes to at least one of these questions they you need to get yourself to a CiCi's Pizza when you have the hankering for some unusual pizza, and a lot of it. Cici's is not a nice restaurant... it's basically the equivalent of a fast food place with a buffet. I'd say as far as standards go it's lower on the scale than a Golden Coral.. but it's not nearly as creative, and the pizza is much better here than the cardboard at the Coral. You walk in and pay as soon as you arrive, and then you grab your buckets for your pop and find a seat. They have plenty of seating but during peak times, they are super crowded. This place is very kid friendly as well, so they have video games and TV's throughout the place. Now, when you walk up to the buffet line, there will be concoctions that you have most likely never seen before... They have pizza that you just have to try, even if you are pretty sure you may not like it. I hate buffalo sauce for example, but they had a buffalo chicken slice that I just had to try because it was there... I mean it makes total sense to me.. They have your normal dishes like peperoni and cheese, but I lean more towards the interesting slices here. As I neared the end of the buffet line, I noticed an odd pile of something on a pizza with white sauce. Upon closer inspection I realized it was fat and twisty noodles. MAC AND CHEESE PIZZA!!!! OMG.. NOM... it is exactly as good as it sounds, in all it's cheesy goodness. Once you finish with the meal, you have to try the desserts... holy amazing sauce. I think I'd go to Cici's just for their dessert... If you are looking for some inexpensive pizza fast, this is your place. Best pizza buffet chain in the area! It is adjacent to Jungle Jim's so anytime I am getting some fun stuff there, I always have to stop in Cici's. The service team is very nice and they are always very clean and attentive. If you make a pizza request, they will get it out on the buffet line ASAP. This is my first time in Cici's pizza buffet of Ohio. We came around 12:15pm and it wasn't busy. We got helped right away. Prices are reasonable for kids and adults. Tried the pepperoni pizza and the garlic cheese sticks with their marinera sauce. They were okay, not bad but not great either. The pepperoni pizza wasn't fresh. I don't know how long its been sitting under the light. My kids got fresh cheese pizza and they are demolishing it. The atmosphere is good too. The booths need some work. They seem like they're coming apart. The table we decided to sit at was wobbly but it was the only one that I was able to comfortably put my son's carseat with him in it. While we're here eating, some of the staff are wiping down tables and chairs with some strong cleaning chemical agents. Don't get me wrong, it's a great thing to know they're detailed; however, the smell of the food and the cleaning supplies is odd & confusing to my sense of smell and taste. (May just be me.)
