Title: A Completely Dysfunctional and Negligent Management Company CiD Consortium was, without question, the most disorganized and unresponsive management company I have ever dealt with. Basic responsibilities were ignored. Noise violations, resident misconduct, and repeated disturbances were met with silence or meaningless auto‑replies. Instead of addressing issues, they bounced owners between multiple email addresses like a shell game, wasting time while problems escalated. Their internal turnover was so extreme that emails routinely came back with "I'm no longer with the company" notices -- including from the very person supposedly managing the community. That level of instability explains why nothing ever got resolved. There was zero continuity, zero accountability, and zero professionalism. If your community values responsiveness, follow‑through, or even the bare minimum of competence, avoid CiD Consortium. They left our HOA worse than they found it, and homeowners paid the price for their negligence. read more

Edited to add: ALL my requests have been requested through the proper channels & approved by my HOA board. CiD is the only party that has failured to comply with the requests being handled. My community has had 3 different property management companies since I've owned my condo and CiD Consortium LLC is by far the worst. The most serious issue is their deliberate lack of communication. I have reported multiple safety concerns that put our community at legal risk, yet they routinely ignore emails, phone calls, and portal messages. They also fail to provide residents with basic updates on large, expensive community projects that directly impact homeowners. When you finally reach someone they say they'll "discuss it with the board at the next meeting." In reality, nothing happens unless you personally attend the meeting to hold CiD Consortium accountable on communication. Isn't that the entire purpose of a property management company? To communicate homeowner concerns to the board and ensure the community is properly maintained? We shouldn't have to take PTO every month to attend mid-day meetings just to address super basic maintenance. If you are unfortunate enough to get stuck with CiD Consortium LLC, my recommendation is to make sure everything is documented in writing so when a legal issue inevitably arises, you have proof. Otherwise your HOA and your dues may pay the price for their lack of professionalism and accountability. There's some miscommunication on my payments and I was charged with late fee twice and put in delinquent status. I have never been late on my payments so I called to resolve the issue. Based on two extremely frustrating past experiences with Consortium LLC 20+ years ago I was very disappointed to learn that my HOA has contracted with them for our accounting services. I have two accounts with this HOA. The transition has gone very well. It was confusing because of special assessments and incorrect crediting between accounts for April 2020 I paid to the former accountant. This was quickly corrected by Consortium and I have received my correct statements for August 2020. Thank you to Stephanie, Marcie, and Consortium for making it easy to understand my correct accounts and getting our renewed relationship off to an excellent start. Since my experience has changed and was otherwise so long ago I disregarded the outdated experience in my star rating. read more

Our HOA transitioned to CID just over 1 year ago. Based on the previous 3 HOA management companies our association has used in the past (one company booted our HOA because they wanted to concentrate on their 'larger' clients.), they have shown a much higher level of professionalism and attention to detail. Our HOA is small but CID provides a lot of flexibility around the level of management we require. Their web portal system works well and has good traceability/approval features. They also ensure we meet California HOA reporting requirements and have been very helpful providing guidance and vendor resources. Since we are a small HOA, we depend on CID's expertise. On the whole, CID has been, professional, friendly, and responsive. I highly recommend their HOA management services. read more

There was a recent billing mistake with my HOA statements. The first thing that came to my mind was ...this is going to be a time consuming mess to sort out. I called and was shocked to have "someone" actually answer the phone. What a refreshing experience to not have to deal with automated answering nightmares. That someone was Marcie. I explained the incorrect billing on my account, and she immediately resolved the problem within minutes; and with great customer service and sense of humor. Now I just need to figure out how to get Marcie to answer calls on behalf of my bank, internet providers, doctors office, insurance company, etc. read more

I've worked extensively with CID in a tenant and board capacity and find the folks there are highly engaged and want to do what's best for the tenant and community in general.
