I came in to get a soak off of a previous gel set and I know the process is different place to place so when the nail tech was filing down, I wasn't questioning the process. She was heavy handed with the drill bit and my nails heated up in several spots. During this process she also hovered too long on certain parts of my nails, which left them super thinned out. The nail tech did eventually asked if I had wanted a manicure, and I ended up telling her no just because I was already having a bad experience with the soak off. I just told her to trim it down and that's when I noticed that I still had gel on so when she was cutting my nails, I could still feel the tension of that. I wouldn't recommend coming here. My last gripe with this experience is when she started to file down my nails after trimming them she also did not match them up. I believe on the receipt I saw something of an initial charge of $15 but when I went to get checked out, they charged me $12 which is not that bad but I after leaving the place I was also just thinking I should not have paid $12 for my nails to be messed up. I did go back up to ask for a refund, but was ignored. read more

got a gel manicure and pedicure - messy side nail work and lots of lifting. within the same week of getting it done, the sides looked like there was a bubble underneath. it's hasn't even been two weeks and now the sides have completely lifted. the mani isn't worth the ~$35 and the pedi for ~$40, you're better off taking your money somewhere else. read more

It doesn't even matter who does your nails or toes here. They have excellent service and it's a great experience coming here. They do take walk ins! Always good to call ahead just in case. I recommended all my friends here! Definitely worth the price. I've been coming here since high school. If you don't like something, they will change it. Was able to get a same day appointment here for a gel manicure. The people were very friendly, but the service could have been a bit more neat -- I had a bunch of polish around my fingertips that they didn't clean up and I had to scrub it off myself. The gel polish did end up lasting almost 4 weeks so I was impressed with that. The lady was also very nice when I realized I chose the wrong color for my design. read more

I did not have a good experience at this salon. My cuticles were cut through to the point of bleeding twice with the nail drill. This could have been avoided if the nail tech manicured my nails, just by pushing the cuticle back. It also didn't seem clean in the salon. I asked for a design of stars and dots on one nail per hand and the nail tech was impatient for the gel to cure so he caused the polish to smear once adding the top coat. I would not recommend this place, could get a better result and better service for $60 somewhere else. read more

Got my nails done on Saturday 7/16 and the younger guy there asked if I wanted my ingrown removed and my dumb ass said yes. It's not Monday 7/18 and it looks worse!!! It hurts a lot!! I read other reviews that he is rude when you don't tip or get the extra services and they're absolutely right!!! He will get angry if you don't accept the extra services. This review is long over due. I've been coming here for a minute.. I travel 6 hours every 2-3 weeks to SoCal and I make sure that I make an appt with Kim when I get in town. Backstory on how I ended up being lucky enough to get Kim I called to make an appt with Don and found out that he was out of town for a while. Kim took me in and WOW! I had some major damage to my nails and Kim suggested using Gel X to help grow my nails so I could go back to just getting an overlay on my natural nails. She made my nails look absolutely stunning. I usually get a pedicure as well, I have overlay on my big toe (accident with my foot caused minimal nail growth) it's VERY hard to find someone that can successfully create a realistic Normal looking toenail that matches your other toe! Kim is like a miracle worker. My toe looks NORMAL. It's looks like a regular nail. You can't even tell Its a weird toe!! Whoop! Hahahah I've been to a lot of nail shops- I travel a lot! The nail shops in San Francisco are different and expensive for the quality you get. Oh did I mention I live in the Bay Area and yes... I will continue to come and see Kim for my nails. This is the first time I get a really bad service. I got a classic mani/pedicure, the lady (new) who did my manicure rushed thru the whole process, she was hard pulling my hands , didn't even soak my nails in soap is they normally do. When she painted them, she rushed to apply the color and put the gloss so poorly that it was thick but did not covered the sides of the nail. It's been 2 days and the polish is chipping off. The women I think it was Tammy did not cover all my toes with the glossy part. I did not realized until I came home. Very poor service this time. This was my first time here. They were nice overall while I was getting my nails done. I got gel manicure and regular pedicure. It was my first time doing gel and I told them that many times. I wanted designs on my nails, but the woman that was doing my nails kept ripping and ruining the stickers I wanted. I ended up being there 2hours because she kept messing up. When I left I noticed that both my hands and feet still had a good amount of cuticle/excess skin. My pedicure- nail polish wasn't fully covering nails. My gel manicure-she got the clear coat all over my skin and under my nails. My nails were also very bumpy and not smooth.I noticed a tiny piece of nail polish already chipping, but the shop was closed and I couldn't return the next few days. I called them and a man answered. I asked what their policy was on how long gel nails would last. He was rude and was refusing to answer. Then he finally said 3 days and that they can fix them for HALF OFF. I told him 3 days is for regular nails, not gel- gel should last 2-3weeks. He got mad at me when I said I don't think I should pay over $40 to have them fixed. He started to yell at me. I asked his name and he refused and kept yelling. I asked if I can speak with the manager about this and he put me on hold for 10min and then said she was too busy. I was going to go into the shop to complain, but I didn't want to just be yelled at again for their poor service. Been going here forever it seems! Called this morning and they got me in within a few hours. Got a wonderful pedicure with callus removing and we'll worth the extra $!
