Kelly and all the ladies here are the absolute best! Always so happy to see us, the vibe is it, it is like the Cheers of nail salons. They greet everyone by name, and you can tell the loyalty around here which is such a beautiful thing. They always accommodate, have a good gel polish selection, and will bring candies or snacks around while you sit for your service. They have dip powder but no colored dip powders, but they do put gel color on top, which gives you alot of options for colors. The massage chairs are sooooo comfortable. They can move back really far so those with knee problems dont have to have your knees bent in to your chest. The massage part feels so good. Plenty of street parking in front, parking lot on the side or the back so there's always room. The best part is their pricing! The quality of work far exceeds what you pay here. I've gone to other places who charge like double for crappy jobs so I'm pretty happy with the service here. They charged $32 for a regular mani pedi. updating my review. The past 3 times I've visited. Lee, who does my manicure has been doing such a terrible and sloppy job. Lately she's been rushing as if she has a ton of other clients to take care of, but that's not the case. When I go, it's usually not busy. Well, the past 3 visits, the end result looks worse than if I did it myself. The nail polish is all bubbly and despite sitting by the fan for over 30 minutes, it isn't dry. So, Lee has just been putting too much paint and not waiting for each coat to dry. I've been coming here for almost 10 years and now I have to find another nail salon. read more

I was not happy with the way my nails came out. I called on the phone before I got there and asked how much organic gel nails would be and they first said it was $50. Then when I went in they tried to tell me it was gonna be $60 with extension gels plus the organics gel set. But then walked out with the most expensive pair of press ons I've ever paid for. They charge me $70 just for gel X nails when I could've done that at home and I came in to get organic gel nails which are completely different than gel X. Then they charge me for the little heart that's on my nail five dollars for each heart because I got one on the left hand and one on the right. Then they didn't even buff out my nails when they were done. I had to come home and bust them out because they were very sharp. I will never be going here again because they overcharge you for a very expensive press ons but they tell you you're actually getting organic instead of telling you you're getting press ons. read more

If I could give this place ZERO stars I would. First of all, I called the salon at 6:15 to find out what time they close and if they could still take me, she said yes. They close at 7pm. I finally get there about 6:25pm just for the owner Kelly to tell me at 6:30pm that they're closed. I told her I just called and she decided to do my nails. Cool. Let me just say that I have NEVER and I mean NEVER had a fill in done in literally 35 mins!! How?? She literally rushed through the whole thing and didn't even let me dry it completely before I had to leave because they're closing so now my " birthday nails" looks horrendous! If you couldn't take your time and provide good service then just say so!! Do you really think I wanted to pay $22 for this mess?!!! Whatever acrylic powder she put on my fingers is literally a joke and is now peeling off already. So disgusted with this place and I will NEVER step foot in there again. I am livid. I am sad.. Upset..first time customer so I was hoping for some basic polish change and a pedicure.. I normally don't do them because I can polish change myself. I am a busy busy mom of 3 and my husband wanted me to get some pampering and I stumbled upon this place. First time here and I wasn't impressed. I left feeling unsatisfied. Their polish selection sucks.. Their pedicures suck. I am non confrontational and I advised them that I did not know of their pedicure policy of bringing in your own tools. I love this nail salon! I come in every 2 weeks for a pedicure. After my first visit 2 years ago, Kelly the owner, remembered me. I was actually referred to this nail salon by someone that has been going there for the last 20 years. I lucked out the first time I walked in because I didn't have an appointment. I waited less than 5 minutes and Kelly took me. She did my manicure and pedicure. Kelly is so friendly and makes you feel so welcome. When I would go to the nail salon in San Francisco the women that worked there were always very abrupt and unfriendly. It is the exact opposite here. It's like Cheer's where everyone knows your name. :) The prices are good. $20 for a mani/pedi. There is a small parking lot right next to the salon where I have always been able to find a spot. There is also plenty of street parking. The inside of the salon was just recently updated. They got new carpeting, new nail stations and a new flat screen TV. I liked the place before, but it's even nicer now. I am very big on nail salons being sanitary and this place is definitely up to my standards. The first time I came in Kelly sold me a little nail kit that I now bring with me every time I come in. They will sell you a nail kit for $2 (It could be $4 I'm not sure because I haven't bought a new one in a while) that you can bring with you every time. It has a nail file, a brush, and a few other items that they use every time. Afterwards they will wash everything for you. I just keep the bag in my car and bring it with me to every appointment. If you are not planning on becoming a regular you don't have to buy the kit. They will use disposable nail files, etc. on you. I would definitely recommend this place but you should call and make an appointment first. They will try to squeeze you in if they can but on the weekends you might end up having to wait 20 to 30 minutes. read more

Other than burning my cuticles with the file on a few nails, she was VERY meticulous! Took her time, one nail at a time. I've been coming to Kelly and the girls for 20 years. I started taking my grandmother when I was 15 years old. Both my mom & dad also visit Kelly's shop on a regular basis. When I had acrylic nails, Kelly did my nails and I was so pleased with the results. After I decided to grow my nails out, Lee took over & she is the BEST!!! If I absolutely had to get a manicure at another shop, I would HATE it, but I would suffer through, but I would never get a pedicure outside of Kelly's shop. The shop is so clean and they always clean the tools with rubbing alcohol before using them on your feet. Ann does the best waxing!! Ann went out of town on vacation and I couldnt wait til she returned, so I went to Supercuts on Balboa & Devonshire & of course I got burned. Badly burned. Ann is the master at waxing and I told her to never leave town again! I rarely get color on my nails, and always bring my own, but there is a large selection & I think they just started using gel. Here comes another nail complaint I have been here many times and would always be cut once or twice so I have no idea why I came back. My last visit was horrible! This time the bleeding wouldn't stop so she put a blue substance on it without telling me what it was. Still wouldn't stop bleeding so she put glue on it! The glue thing scared me because I've never seen that before. I decided to write a review for this place because I was in pain for about a week and a half after my gel manicure and that's not acceptable. To make matters even worse my gel started to chip two weeks after being done. My gel manicures always last three weeks so after all the pain I endured I was so angry and had to share my experience. Beyond disappointed by the waste of time and money lost here for my gel mani and pedi. I came cause of the lovely reviews which I know can be so hit and miss. I wasn't going to say anything either, because the girls working are really easy going, but the quality of the work is beyond reprehensible. They failed to push back and trim my cuticles- and the woman who was doing my pedicure managed to cut a good chunk of skin off my big toe. The whole time she was applying. The top coat and polish, it was like burning hot pain. And she was like, "There's no reason for it to hurt..." Excuse me!? Came home to see a huge cut, and had to nurse my foot for the week. Lovely. It felt extremely rushed, and I know they skipped a bunch of steps which makes for shoddy work. After a week, I saw a crack in my forefinger, and the whole gel just ripped off. I was contemplating going back to have them fix it. But the next day three other fingers chipped and peeled off. I've never had my gels do that before.
