I've been here a few times and overall the work was okay. I like supporting small, family-owned businesses and it was close to my house, so I kept coming back even though the owner could be a bit rude at times. I usually just listen to my podcast and keep to myself. On my most recent visit, there were no other clients in the salon. I specifically asked for a gel color to be applied before the chrome powder, since chrome doesn't last well on my nails without a base color and you can see the yellowish tone of the natural nail underneath. Despite explaining this, he proceeded to apply the chrome again without a color. When I tried to point it out, he raised his voice and started yelling at me to "pick a color." a few times. At that point I pulled my hands away and told him to stop. Only then did he calm down. I understand miscommunication can happen, but being yelled at during a service is not acceptable. Unfortunately, that experience made me uncomfortable enough that I won't be returning. read more

I went in yesterday to receive a soak off and the guy didn't even know what a soak off was! He then proceeded to take off my acrylics with a plastic nail! He took off my real nails and now my fingers hurt. He also cut me with the drill. He didn't even take off all of the acrylics off. I would not recommend this salon for nails. When I left the salon 2days ago they looked great. The lady rushed doing my nails. She had someone else waiting. I took a trip to Vegas 2days after. I called them to let them know that they messed up my nails and that the color was changing. I told them that I was out of town for a few days so I couldn't make it today or tomorrow. So due to the COVID 19 pandemic and NOT all nail salons opening, I figured I would search for a place that was open near me . It lead me to this salon (wish it never did) I called and made an app and asked Danny (the person who answered the phone ) if he had anyone that was able to do an ombré gel fill. He reassured me that he knew exactly how to do it . So on my way I went , super excited that i was going to get the Pedicure I've been waiting for and a nice fill to complete my day . My nail app was scheduled for 12 (he didn't take me til 12:45) and since they couldn't do both services at the same time , i would have to wait an extra 20 min for the technician to start my pedicure .. we'll be finished my fill and i looked at saw that the powder didn't blend well with my original nail set , so I asked him to add glitter so that it would hide his horrible job .. he said ohh that's gonna be an extra $10 for gel . I definitely don't mind paying for extra services but you're the one that did the crappy job and I'm being nice by adding glitter to cover it up . On top of all that , i told him he was already charging me extra for the gel that i was going to put on my nails . He replied with "oh this is different ." So I didn't put the glitter on and I definitely left without tipping him . I came to another nail salon and showed them my nails and they even agreed that it looked like my fill was a couple days old and didn't blend well at all . That place was dirty and i will never return even if that's the last salon Open on the face of this planet . I loved this place! I first went in to just accompany my mom (first time being there for the both of us) but as I waiting waiting for her to finish her pedicure. I had the urge to get my nails done but was really hesitant because 1 of my nails is sensitive(I've had really bad experiences else where) but I decided to do it anyway for New Years. Their closing time is at 7pm and I failed to see their time on the door till after they had said yes to taking me at 6:50pm They took me at 6:50 and I was really excited to find out they did coffin shaped nails. They are a great no-appointment salon. I did have to wait a bit but they were worth the wait. Tons of Essie and OPI. Also lots of OPI gel colors. They also have a mani pedi menu with all the trims and pickings to choose from. I really loved that they are not pushy about their services and are okay if you get basic services. Holly does a great job on pedicures. The atmosphere is calm and peaceful even though they were buzzing with bussiness. i USED to love this place. i was a loyal client for over 2 years and i used to always get my acrylics done by Van and my best friend used to always get her nails done by Jenny. I remember on several occasions towards the end of my run with this place that a man would answer the phone and when I would ask for Van or Jenny, he would tell me that he was Van's cousin and that Van was on vacation and so was Jenny. Mind you.. he said this same thing for more than a month. Stupid me.. when my cousin from Washington came to town I was raving to her about this place and about the amazing shell acrylics that Van did. She and my sister ended up making appointments and got the most RIDICULOUS work done ever. Whoever the idiots were that did my cousin's acrylics and pedicure.. I dont even understand how any could ever certify them to do such a shitty job. They didn't even do shell acrylics.. they used some really horrible glitter. and her pedicure was sloppy. And my poor cousin was charged $85. WTF!! This place has definitely gone down the drain. And it's funny, cuz I just called the shop again to see what they would say about Van and Jenny and the same man answered the phone. This nail salon IS really the best. They are basically God sent. I went on a Tuesday afternoon and was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't busy. Danny did my manicure that came out absolutely perfect! He was so thorough and paid attention to all detail. Kim did my pedicure and totally amazed me! She took her time to perform SO thoroughly and patiently, yet gently, I've never seen anything like that before! Not a single step was skipped or even rushed in the entire visit. I practically fainted right after this visit because I was so weakened by what i experienced. They need to understand that they are in the business of dealing with your health and need to know that this is paramount in this business. THEY ARE an INFERiOR salon They cut into my 93 year old friend's skin THEY CUT HER!!: they work too fast. When you enter (as a walk in)they are aggressive about getting you in that chair. They are so intent on getting those greenbacks that their eyes bug out with $signs. Ahhh, you can see the victory when they receive payment. They are always looking at the door to see another person who will gladly hand over money... We are a different culture and need to be treated gently and get rightful answers to our questions ;and not some stupid made up ones otherwise we get really bad impressions and write unflattering damaging reviews. They don't listen to your questions clearly and have silly responses. Now onto the serious issues: SANITATION!!!!! I DID NOT see nor was convinced that they vigorously clean the foot basin part of the chair..just a splash here and there while looking up and talking. So what did my friend get exposed to when they drew blood or what will the next person get exposed to from soaking your feet in a basin that has been contaminated by hundred of skanky feet...would you mind telling me????? I asked then what they said when they conversed and they just waived their hands. The foot "scraper"; the one that removes callises had been rather worn down and used on the homeless who walk barefoot (yes-who knows)! I asked why mine looked so worn..yes she said they use it more: that they cannot do new every time. YOU MUST BRING YOUR OWN TOOLS AND ASK FOR PLASTIC TO LINE THE FOOT BASIN ....IF, YOU CARE FOR YOUR HEALTH. I have always liked that oil they put on the cuticles so I asked what the ingredients are; couldn't tell me he just said go to beauty store...and my again question was the same......another random answer. She (my technician) didn't understand why I asked her if she is using the same pumice bar (looked very used). Well, that didn't help relations a bit and now I was on a mission to call them out. I asked how the "cutters" are sterilized? Again, a quizzical look and then I realized I don't speak the "nail salon" speak. The have a makeshift back room where I was wanting to see the Klieg machine. I didn't want to know. On their not so busy day, they really take their time. The ladies here always make you comfortable and they do a great job. I love their sea salt scrub that comes with a 5 minute massage. It's pricier, but it's like paying for gel for your toes. It's so relaxing so I would get it if I need extra pampering. I had an appointment at 1 yet I was kept waiting until 1:40 in which they bounced me back and fourth between two people. It doesn't take two people to do one gel fill this bothered me extremely. Plus it looks sloppy (I had to ask for the edges to be cleaned bc they were just going to leave it like that, and even though they did try to fix it, it can only be fixed so much) and I felt extremely rushed. Furthermore, they don't even fill nails all the way my nails literally looked like I was a week in heading towards my next fill, super icky. Then they don't like when people pay with their card. I watched it happen to numerous customers and then myself, they beg you to then pay at least half between card and half cash. Super annoying!! Like I understand tips in cash that's fine I was going to do that, but I didn't go to the salon with all that cash. In conclusion, I'm very disappointed and will not be returning. read more
