From the start I was greeted with a smile and served quickly. There seemed to be just one server, it was an early lunch on a Monday so understandable. She was awesome! She took my order, made recommendations and assisted me with a smile the whole time! The food was delicious. I got the signature quesadilla, chicken. I loved that the soft shell had crunch to it and the quesadilla was full of flavor. The sides, red rice and salad were good too. I felt the salsa that came as a free appetizer taste like it wasn't made on site but when asked was told it was. It was rather bland and tastes more like tomato sauce with a bit of herbs thrown in, it could be it's not what I'm use to. It's why I thought it was canned. The restaurant is really cool and I took my time because it felt comfy and played good Latin music. There are lots of booths and tables that seat 6 and more! They even have a happy hour every day at 2pm! Looks like another server arrived while I was eating . He worked the other side and seemed to be just as helpful and gave service with a smile to his customers too. My server, Danny was awesome and why I gave it 5 stars vice 4(salsa).
The Service was horrible and unacceptable. The only time the waiter came to the table was when I motioned for him. My Nachos was cold and soggy, the kids burger was half eaten by my 3 year old. The Birria tacos was good says my 12 year old. The pina cola was not drinkable because I kept sipping ice crystals. When I asked to talk to the manager my waiter and manager was one and the same. He was very non-chalant when I expressed my disappointment, even shrugging his shoulder. If I was able to give zeroes that would most definitely happened. When I told him the drink wasn't good he replied "But you drunk half of it" Lots of attitude and disrespect. I want be back and will remember the negative experience. Should you choose to try them, I hope you have a different experience.
Checked this place after shopping at the mall. I didn't expect much of this place but was very pleased with the staff and food we had. Portions are big and prices are reasonable. We had steak and shrimp fajitas, al pastor tacos and elote. We enjoyed our inpromptu dining at this place.
My favorite spot to come for lunch specials. Great food, amazing staff. They accommodate food allergies, and are super friendly. Never had a bad time here! Un coco loco marg is my favorite drink here
Absolutely wonderful Mexican food with friendly service! The portions are very large and prices are reasonable for the delicious flavors and portions received. The ambience has Hispanic vibes with good music and drinks. Highly recommend to anyone near by (:
This place is connected to the Avenues mall. It's convenient for grabbing dinner when doing some shopping. For drinks, I had a house margarita and my husband had a large Dos Equis. My margarita had too much mix and was much sweeter than I prefer. My husband was hoping for at least 1 IPA on draft. My favorite part of the meal was the chips and salsa-- chips were much thicker and better than most Mexican restaurants and the salsa was very light and fresh. We got a small queso for the kids which they enjoyed but I feel like you can't really mess up queso. Disappointed that we paid $10 for a kids meal when it was Kraft macaroni and cheese. Could've gotten 10 boxes at the store.... For entrees, my husband ordered the pick 2 platter with a chicken enchilada and beef burrito and it came with pinto beans and rice (he gave it a 6.5/10). I thought the rice was really good- light and fluffy. I had 2 tacos: the chimichurri and the Mexico City. I much preferred the Mexico City taco- the shredded chicken was really good. The sauce on the chimichurri was too salty for my liking. The service was fair- food came out quickly but our server was also the bartender so took some time for him to check on us. Not a bad spot for the mall but I expected more because others I've spoken to have raved about it
Went shopping at The Avenues in Jacksonville and since we love Mexican food we decided to try this restaurant. First of all, it's a great atmosphere and we loved sitting outside. The day was perfect for that. Our waitress Marianne came out quickly to take our orders and was very pleasant and eager to serve. She even brought water for our corgi, Riley. I ordered the Burrito Loco and Mark the lunch two chicken enchiladas with rice and beans to go. He had made the mistake of eating a Cinnabon when we got there so he decided to eat his lunch later! Everything was wonderful, including the chips, salsa, drinks, and of course, our meals. Great atmosphere, great service and excellent food. What more can one want?'

Friendly and attentive service, good food. We ordered the Molcajete (which is the Mexican version of the mortar (no pestle) and filled to the brim with a mix of steak, chicken, chorizo, camaron, queso fresco, nopal, grilled veggies, cambray onions and red sauce). Also opted for the Ceviche de Camaron (Shrimp ceviche). Both were almost too pretty to eat but we dove in and still packed leftovers for home. We also arrived just in time to partake in their happy hour specials. Cielo Azul is in the former Ruby Tuesdays spot at the Avenues Mall so it's a good option if you want to grab a bite before or after shopping - or even if you're not shopping at all! It's also a concept by the same family that owns Salsas Mexican Restaurant, Anejo Cocina Mexicana restaurants and 904 Street Tacos and Cantina.

FYIs: there is a Karaoke night here. Also, always review your receipt ,no matter the number in your party they auto add gratuity into your bill each visit.
Although service was a little slow due to lack of staffing, I truly enjoyed my experience. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Everything tasted fresh from the chips of salsa to my meal. For my beverage, I opted for the red sangria. It was very tasteful. And they give you a large glass full. My empanadas were extremely fresh from the pico de gallo to the Crema sauce and all of the above this place is located right at the entrance of the mall, therefore it worked out perfectly for me as I came to this mall to pick up an order from a store. the price point matched the location as well as the quality of food. Definitely would recommend if you just so happen to be in the area. They also have a good happy hour menu Monday through Thursday all day. read more

My family brought me here for my birthday. The place is small and part of the Avenues mall. Now, I wasn't expecting much but I was pleasantly surprised. They had live entertainment and the service was pretty good. Now- the food was excellent. The portions were huge but we always like to take food home since we don't eat out a lot anymore. So, we did order quite a bit. Check out the pics to see. They had the best rice and beans! Also, their chips and salsa are the best in town. I also really like their Coctel de Camarones. It was refreshing with it being served in a large cup mixed with tomatoes, onions and cilantro. It also had a lime and orange wedge. On the side of the shrimp cocktail were two tortillas and some crackers. I ordered the Plato fiesta and it too had shrimp in a spicy sauce with a slice of chicken breast and steak. I liked the shrimp cocktail the best. read more

**REVIEW YOUR CHECK PRIOR TO PAYING*** they add 18% and total out with that price in bold to make it appear as that is your bill. Underneath in smaller print is the actual cost. When they ran my credit card the first time it included the 18% and when the check came back to the table to sign there is another line marked "additional tip". You could very easily end up paying 25-35% to in tip if you are not careful. On to the food and service. There was a language barrier to overcome not a big deal The queso/ cheese dip was fair. The salsa was thick and pretty good. The chips are a thick, hard corn-based style. Shrimp quesadilla - shrimp has a rubber like texture - not good. Did not finish Ordered beef tacos and received chicken tacos - was corrected and tasted good. Topping were still incorrect but ate 2 of the 3 served Beef enchilada came out as chicken this too was corrected. Beef was really good and would recommend The chicken quesadilla was not good. The chicken was dry and tough, and seem to have been pre-cooked. The sprites came out with high carbonation water, and no syrup. This was corrected and was fine. Overall, not a horrible place to eat a bit expensive service was fair, but seem to have a lot of mistakes and was disappointing with the 18% included tip read more

The service by Jean Carlos, the food & the Ambiance was very good. The only thing I'd change was maybe turn the volume down a notch or two for the music. Other than that we will be back and loved it. Thank you staff!! read more

We LOVE Cielo Azul! Since opening, we do our best to come on a weekly basis! The happy hour is everyday from 2-6pm. The food is delicious and the drinks are always made so well. They are also extremely family friendly! Victoria and Daniela always take care of us; they are the best! read more

Such a beautiful ambiance! The staff was amazing and quick. The TV's are great not a bad angle at any seat. The menu selection is outstanding with great pricing! I will be coming back soon. I had the Tamare to drink which was delicious. To eat I had, street corn, sweet plantains, Siete Mares soup and Chocoflan for dessert. read more

I loved this place. First the decoration is amazing...it is very well thought out and has great spaces to take pictures. They have outdoor seating. The place was cleaned and the bathrooms were welled kept. I ordered a Paloma. It was very good. My mother ordered the Carnitas plate and it was delicious. I had a cielo azul burrito and it was huge and very good. The portions are very big. Our server was great he always made sure we were taken care of. The other staff also check in on us when passing by. I really liked it and will be coming back read more

Wonderful ambiance. Very modern restaurant and beautiful interior. Comfortable seating. Quick seating for party of 2 and waitress was very attentive. We ordered 3 drinks, the street nachos, loco burrito and the birria quesadilla. The food was absolutely delicious!! However I did notice that my michelada drink did not match the one in the picture on the menu which I was excited to try. Nevertheless it was the best michelada I've had. Same goes for the burrito.. in the picture it was 2 decent sized burritos but I received one huge burrito which kinda messed up my appetite. The Paloma was delicious, definitely recommend. Finally I had the choco flan and a regular flan which were both good. I would return especially to drink. Definitely more on the pricey end which I UNDERSTAND for seafood but for other menu items, I don't think the high price point is necessary. read more
