Always amazing Mexican food! We get the jumbo margarita (which is tasty and strong!) the tacos and cheese quesadillas with shredded chicken are always amazing. Service is friendly!

The food was served hot and delicious. The service was speedy and recommendations on point. The decor was a relaxed Mexican vibe.

Can we all agree that Mexican Food is the antibiotic to life's ills. And like CVS or Walgreen's you're likely to find a Mexican joint on just about every neighborhood corner. So when one disappoints you don't have to travel far to find redemption. My usual spot was suffering from major identity crisis so I decided to try Los Loros on Baymeadows just west of Philips Highway. It shares a parking lot with Al-Basha, a Middle Eastern market I shop at regularly. My first several visits were Taco Tuesday stops where I'd usually do 3 a la carte Tacos($9.50) and 3 a la carte Enchiladas ($9.50). You can select Hard or Soft shell tacos and either Chicken or Beef on both. On Tuesday the tacos are only $8. There is ample seating snd beautiful Latin murals painted on the walls. It may be 10 years before I feel the need to go anywhere else for these two simple favorites. Huge portions, great flavor, quality ingredients and a great price. My server Nina always takes great care of me and takes the time each visit to stop and chat me up while I enjoy the complimentary Chips and Salsa. Alex the manager also visits each table to check if guests are happy. But this review was to Scoop my most recent visit and entree the Pollo con Papas. It is Chicken breast grilled with potatoes, tomatoes, onions, mushrooms and chipotle chile pepper. Served with rice and vegetables(cheesy broccoli and cauliflower). Topped with cheese dip for $18.50. This dish delivered like a kiss on the first date, whatever that's like. I've never had a Mexican dish with potatoes and never thought to but this combination of ingredients was a veritable super group of flavors like Antonio Banderas and the Song of the Mariachi . So next time you're feeling Desperado head to Baymeadows and give your Mexican experience an upgrade at Los Loros. -- at Los Loros.

First time visiting!! Server was terrific friendly and attentive. Food was great fresh and tastes delicious big portions. Music was great and could still have conversations great atmosphere.

Best Chile rellenos, and I'm picky!

Summary: a classic, reliable staple for the typical Mexican food you expect (I say this as a Floridian, let's not get into regional Mexican wars, LOL). I'm long overdue for this review. I first started visiting Los Loros in like 2014 when I lived off the southside service road and forgot about it for a while before moving about a block away in 2022. My fiancé and I probably ate here 3x a week while renovating our kitchen and have kept up with 1x a week/every other week since. As we all know there is no shortage of Mexican restaurants in this town. There is something for every niche and many places with standout specialties. That being said... Everything I've ever ordered has been good, I've never had a complaint or unsatisfactory meal. The servers are always nice, quick, and will start to remember your extra sauce orders when you go there as often as we do! First: great value. In today's climate, cost is a deciding factor in where you go out to eat. When we're hungry and in a rush, lazy mood, or don't have groceries; we always know we're going to get a huge, tasty, and reasonably priced meal at Los Loros. My go to is the Combo #3: 2 tacos, an enchilada, and a chile relleno for about $11. You can't beat it! I am very picky with chile rellenos and these are always bursting with liquid melty cheese and smothered in delicious sauce. The enchilada sauce is different, and also very tasty. As a self proclaimed sauce connoisseur I appreciate the variety and that every dish isn't topped with the same exact red sauce. Of course the enchiladas suizas or verdes will have a green sauce, which I also love. The salsa is on point every time. Honorable mention: quesadilla relleno (huge!), fajitas (obviously), and the flautas (make sure to ask for a side of chipotle sauce, it makes all the difference!) The house margaritas are STRONG! My 200+lb fiancé who is no stranger to cocktails got surprisingly tipsy the last time we ordered ONE large one The interior is a fun vibe, but be wary if you get easily overstimulated- most nights of the week there is some type of karaoke or singing going on in addition to loud music. The place is so large though that we usually get a table on the other side of the platform center and the noise is normal where we can have a conversation. Bonus- they have their own Los Loros app for online ordering and convenient pickup. They also have a rewards program where you enter your phone number at checkout and we have redeemed many a free queso, guacamole, entree, or margarita! They could also definitely accommodate a pretty large group in the aforementioned platform center area of the restaurant. When you're not looking for ~specialty~ trendy often overpriced Mexican food, Los Loros is ole reliable! Only downside is no outdoor seating if you're looking for that. (Now I need to catchup on the probably 100 food pics from here in my camera roll )

If you're looking for an authentic, family operated Mexican restaurant look no further than Los Loros. My friends and I stopped in for dinner post FL-GA tailgating and I am extremely happy we did. We were immediately greeted by the host who sat us in a clean booth. The menu here is like Cheesecake Factory - extensive with numerous options for everyone and also super affordable. They serve you a basket of complimentary chip and salsa, which is fresh and tasty. The salsa has a little kick but still is very good. I was in the mood for some tacos and Los Loros has a vast amount of options. I ordered the carne asada, lengua (beef tongue), and chicken. They all come with cilantro and white onions and hot sauce which I opted for on the side. The tacos were fresh and large in portion. I tried the lengua first - and whoa! So tender, very well seasoned, and heavenly. If you have never tried it - definitely do not knock it, this was my favorite of the 3 tacos. The closest thing I can say the texture is comparable to is roast beef. I was stuffed after eating just this taco alone. The second taco, the carne asada was very juicy and also very flavorful. The chicken taco was good as well but because it was chargrilled pretty long it almost more saltier in taste in comparison to the other tacos. However, with the fresh lime and hot sauce it easily balanced the chicken taco. In all, I spent a little under than $13 - which is amazing. If you're craving Mexican, make Los Loros a place to visit!

This evening my family and I celebrated my aunts birthday at her favorite Mexican restaurant in Mandarin! We all enjoyed the clean and comfortable seating. While enjoying our beverages as we waited for our food the staff was friendly and polite. Our server named Elisa was super kind and professional. Food was delicious and fresh. I'm looking forward to returning again in the new year and continue celebrating with friends and family while enjoying great food at Los Loros!

Always get the chips and salsa, don't be a weirdo lol

Always my go to neighborhood restaurant for Mexican. They have an extensive menu of fresh authentic recipes. A family owned business, not a chain of processed and frozen corporate junk food. Service is always excellent. You won't regret your time here and your stomach will surely thank you.

You ever hear about a place and great things for a while but take your time getting there? That's the case with Los Loros~ I've been hearing wonderful things and people telling me this is the best Mexican food in Jax for years now. John and I used to live really close too! But we never stopped in- why? I have no idea. Friday evening I was in the area and John wanted Mexican- so we popped in. The restaurant layout is a long bar as you enter and at the end (right) opens into a large dining room with an elevated center for seating. There was a large party seated in the upper center, but still plenty of surrounding table filled on both the upper and lower deck. While we were there, a musician set up and was singing and strumming guitar by the bar. Wonderful! John was tickled by the carafe of salsa. Yes, you pour your own salsa- lol. It's the little things! And big things- the food was spectacular. A little more expensive than some of our go to places around town- but the portions more than made up for it. We will be back for sure!

My husband and I ordered 3 adult meals from Los Loros. I picked up my orderly promptly for carry out and I asked if I could have a side of chips and salsa. The woman bringing me my food told me no, it's extra. I asked, well if I were dining in, it would be unlimited chips and salsa? She didn't say anything, I went on to say I ordered almost $60 worth of food, could I please have a side of chips and salsa. Again she told me no but I could order it and pay at the bar. No thank you, Los Loros, and we will not be back for such poor customer service. I know times are tough, but 3 adult meals should warrant an order of chips and salsa.

My friends and I were originally going to eat here for Cinco de Mayo, but when I got there at 6:45, I was told it would be a 3.5 hour wait. Unfortunately it went downhill from there. And we were patient, super patient. It was a Friday, but it was not overly crowded, like I said - seated immediately around 7:40. Drinks, took over 30 minutes for a pineapple one and three skinny- we joked the food would arrive first, but we were very wrong. Then, the waitress waited for us to try- I think it was a newer person at the bar. We tried to like it, but somehow it tasted like flat sprite.our server took them away and made us them herself. Now, those were great. Small side of guac was brought after that- meant to go with the meal, but we were so hungry we just ate with the chips. It was very good- fresh tasting. Then we waited. And waited some more. Asked about the food, then waited some more. Finally, we cut our losses and asked for the check minus the food that never came. The band was starting next door and we wanted to celebrate the bday girl. The floors were sticky and our shoes stuck to the floor. The women's restroom was out of order. The kiosks seem like a good idea but nobody there to ask questions or to get your drinks. If you can catch one of the two people working as they bring out orders you are lucky. The menus on the kiosks are pretty informative though and tell the ingredients for each item. Kiosk automatically adds 20% tip unless you change it. Considering you don't have any interaction with employees until they bring out your order other tipping options might apply. They cook to order which is nice except you don't get your drinks or your appetizers until it's your turn. There is a comment section to type no tomatoes or special instructions. Mine still came out with tomatoes but they promptly remade it for me. The food is pretty good. No complaints there other than having to remake one of my tacos. The chips and queso was pretty good. Chips were dusted with spices and served hot. We tried 6 different tacos and they were all very good. The tortillas were toasted on the grill which makes a big difference. You can get flour or corn tortillas. The chicken and steak were marinated before grilling and were big cubes and plentiful. The menu has a pretty big variety including a kids menu with chicken and fries. The last comment is their fountain machine for drinks. The coke tasted off. They may need to recalibrate it. Drinks are served in small clear throw away cups and the lids don't fit very well. Refills are hard to get. You have to wait for someone to come out of the back. If these small complaints don't bother you the food is very good.

Omg this place was sooooo good! First time here…read more We were greeted almost immediately by more than one employee, just to let us know about the place and how to place our order and what to do. Great! We actually ended up getting our own tablet, so we sat outside and ordered. Food came out soooo quickly. I got the birria tacos and OOOMMMGGG ARE THEY GOOOOOOD! I was on a blind date, so he got guacamole and chips and a huge burrito that he absolutely loved also. They were both kinda messy but it was so much fun and so good, that we didn't even care lol. I'm so glad I picked the place for our first date. We were both very pleased with everything. The technology was a piece of cake to use also, when ordering! We'll definitely be back! Please do yourself a flavor lol... and get food from this place! You will not be disappointed!!

The mahi taco was probably the best, along with the steak al pastor, but everything was oversauced (which didn't help the tortillas survive). The guacamole, however, was excellent. Service was friendly but not especially quick, though it was a Friday. The ambiance is generic Town Center. Might give it another try, but not in a rush.

One quick turn to go eat here lead us to a good choice. I got the steak and birria burrito and it did not disappoint.
