This is hands-down our favorite taco place in Plano! They are the only restaurant in the area that we have been able to find that has delicious suadero. The owner came to check in on us and is super friendly and very genuine! Their servers also just great people with huge smiles and the restaurant itself is super clean and cute! We highly recommend the suadero and al pastor tacos. As soon as I bit into the tacos, I felt as if I was back in Mexico at my favorite taqueria. We will definitely continue to support this business!

Cielo is my favorite Mexican restaurant in Plano by far! The food is authentic, the prices are not too bad, and the service is great! They have good deals on Wednesdays too! Highly recommend! The suadero is my favorite!

I've had cielo a couple times now. I have been impressed with their customer service and quality of food. Everything tastes so fresh and it's truly comfort food. The whole building is very comfortable and I love the couch by the register. It's always nice to have somewhere to sit while waiting for a pick up. I love the music and decorations. You must have the elote fries. They truly don't disappoint.

Some of the best tacos I've had! Over the past decade, I've visited 47 states, hundreds of cities, and thousands of taco establishments. Some have been nothing more than a cart in Mexico, others were upscale restaurants with seared tuna and sashimi salmon, and Cielo Tacos could stand up to all of them! It's an interesting setup, hidden behind a BP gas station. Just walk through the gas station, and it's to the left of the building. There are three different restaurants inside the small place. A choice of Puerto Rican, Cielo Tacos, and a Latino sandwich shop of some sort. After an excruciating decision process between a Mofongo and tacos, I chose Cielo Tacos. I chose cabeza, barbacoa, and pastor. They were amazing! Cabeza melted in my mouth, pastor and barbacoa were cooked perfectly, and the flavor and texture of all three were top notch. We were given chips and bean dip, and while the chips were a bit greasy, the bean dip was amazing. We added some of the red and green salsas to our chips, on top of it. My coworker had a burrito, and was quite impressed with it. As we were walking out, we saw the most amazing quesadilla. We asked about it, and it was actually a machete, rather than a quesadilla. Might have to return tomorrow to try that.

I found this hidden gem on Google while searching for Birria Tacos. They had stellar reviews and the food looked amazing. Well, Cielo Tacos did not disappoint! Everything was good! I ordered the Birria tacos and Alambre tacos, along with rice & beans. All of the meat was well seasoned and cooked to perfection, and the refried beans tasted like they were made fresh in-house. I happened to meet the owner while picking up my food. He was extremely nice & personable, and I could tell that he takes pride in his food. I will definitely be returning to get more Birria tacos, or even a Machete.

    Buy another for a friend!

El Chile is located in Plano, Illinois; the outward appearance is minimal, as is the interior decor. However, the food and the service is excellent. Our waiter was very helpful, and very patient; I should mention he did not speak English well but he was trying to hard to accommodate us it didn't matter. I only wish I spoke better Spanish and perhaps this is something I need to work on for myself, but no matter: he was very attentive and very nice to us. The chips & salsa were presented first and the salsa OH MY GOD THE SALSA. OH MY GOD THE SALSA I have never had better salsa in my life. Thick, rich, full of flavour and bursting with spice and heat; it was absolutely delicious, and I couldn't get enough of it. Yes, it burned the roof off my mouth but who cares; it was incredible. It was clearly made from scratch using fresh ingredients and the care and attention to it was well noted. I ordered the carne asada tacos and they were incredibly delicious as well: hot, perfectly seasoned and my only complaint is that I should have ordered more of them! Hot diggity dog! There was a tray of wonderful dipping sauces presented with the tacos as well; I don't recall the different types but they were all tasty and delectable. The salsa was so good my client and I ordered a tub of it for each of us, to go...and I'm sorry to say it didn't last very long once I got home...oh my god, it was good! I heartily recommend El Chile and it is definitely WORTH THE TRIP.

Que Brava is not one of these typical cluttered family owned and operated restaurants. For sure seems organized and competent. The prices are kind of high, which is the only bad thing. Coming in here the first time we got something that wasn't expected. It's actually a pretty clean place. There's tables that actually are cleaned off between customers if you can believe that. A good thing is there's alcohol. There's some other classic beverages too. Get agua frescas. They have horchata, and there's Jamaica which is made with hibiscus. But alcohol you have to get it of course. It's about $13 for a margarita. These come in a few flavors, some interesting ones. I got the Hibiscus Margarita. This is made with Grand Marnier, hibiscus tea, lime mix, tequila, and triple sec. Great thing was it wasn't as sweet as it sounded like it would be. The prices keep people from getting more. For sure the best stuff is the food. It's got a whole vegetarian section. A lot easier to order. It's about $18 for the tacos. These are a few tacos filled with mushrooms, peppers, and zucchini. Comes with sides of rice and beans. Pretty filling. Also they have the other usual classics. There's quesadillas, tortas, and more stuff. Great place as far as taste and authentic flavors. It's closed Tuesdays. There's meaty options as well as a few things for vegans and vegetarians.

It has the usual stuff like burritos, tacos, or whatever. However there's more than that of course. The prices are pretty okay for portions. A lot of menu items are familiar. It's got what one would expect from an Americanized Mexican place. The menu isn't particularly extensive but it's got most things covered it seems. For sure can't be complete without alcohol. It's about $9 for a margarita. We got a couple of these including peach. For sure you can't forget about the food. Of course any legitimate Mexican restaurant has to have complimentary chips and salsa. Yes they thankfully have this. It's about $9 for a burrito. We got these without meat, just vegetables. Okay but basic. They have bottles of hot salsas that kick this up at least. Other menu items are more authentic. They have meaty options including beef and chicken, and classic options like tortas. Crazy busy place at times and service can take about forever. It's located on Bridge Street in the plaza with the Roadhouse restaurant. The menu is pretty meaty with limited choices for vegetarians.

Although it is prolly apocryphal, it is said Toulouse-Lautrec commented much the same about French restaurants. There is a sizable Latino population in our neck of the woods, thus there are many Mexican places to eat. MiRancho here falls under the category of my opening statement. It's (way) off the beaten path, and definitely not picturesque. But I have had too many good meals in places that aren't exactly the ritz, so I had to try MiRancho. The Yelps were encouraging. I was ordering from the menu board, then I saw a small sign announcing a "buffet". I asked the nice fellow behind the counter and he said it was on. Well. It was, again, not pretty, but the quality of what was on/in it was top-notch. Lotsa meats, all totally yum. Three soups, including a great Pozole. Proper garnishes and side dishes. The throw from the soft drink bubbler was excellent. Even from the buffet, everything tasted vibrant and fresh--Might be the best Mex food I've had in this area. At the right price, too. In the end, it was very "home-like" and I took the simple, yet clean surroundings as a statement of "We're about the food 100% here". A true "off-the path" gem!
