As a native of Aurora Illinois, I've had my fair share of taco spots and overtime. They all have somewhat let me down so now I prefer to make my own tacos at home however, my wife and I visited this spot in Plano and we gave it a chance and we were not disappointed. Food was good. Ordered Tampiqueña Enchiladas with Ranchero Sauce, and 3 Taco Dinner with one each; Chicken, Steak, and Carnitas Tacos. The Steak and Carnitas were better than the Chicken. Tampiqueña was good. Chips and Salsa was served with a salsa board with 4 different salsas. The most vivid red colored salsa was smoky and quite hot. This place is called Tako Chido now, I'm not sure I ever ate there when it was Bien Chido but after going a few times for take out I can confidently give Tako Chido, 5 stars. The tacos are great especially the steak, the pastor is good, but maybe a little under seasoned. And you know what a little under seasoned is fine because if you have an adventurous palate you have to get the black salsa. It is very spicy but with an incredible smoky depth of flavor. It really makes the tacos pop. And to top everything off, the refried beans are phenomenal, so rich, and silky. I'm not really a eat a forkful of beans guy but I could eat a pint of these refried beans. In fact, I think next time I'll get a burrito because I'm sure they really set Tako Chidos burritos apart from other local spots. read more

If I could give more stars I would. Soon as you sit down they bring out chips with a flight of salsa, everything I ate was fresh nothing had that weird once-was-frozen texture. Glorious Mexican food in Plano- who woulda thunk? The entrance and ordering process is a bit awkward, hence the four stars. You pick up a menu at the counter and then go back up to order. This got a bit crowded and confusing during the lunch rush. The menu is also labeled in a manner that's not very clear as to what is what. (Takos?) The food is five stars. My husband got the steak tacos and inhaled them. I went with the steak enchiladas with mole and green sauce. So good! The ingredients all tasted fresh and the beans and rice were delicious.
