    Al pastor burrito
    Devang P.

Was in the mood for some Mexican food and this location was close to my work. I came in early for lunch and the place was empty. I was seated right away. The place was clean and had plenty of seating. I was greeted by the server who was very helpful and knowledgeable about the menu and food. All foods are fresh and of high quality. I was first provided with chips and salsa. The chips were nice and warm but the salsa was only okay. It wasn't spicy and tasted more like a tomato soup. For my entree I got the Al pastor burrito with a side of rice and beans. The burrito had a good ratio of meat and filling. The al pastor was beautifully flavored. You can taste the hints of pineapple which was delicious. I really enjoyed the food here. The other items on the menu looked intriguing enough for me to want to check out this place again. If I'm in the area I would definitely come back.

    Taco Dinner

Ordered carry out from Que Brava from the first time and I'm extremely impressed. My family and I are always searching for great Mexican cuisine in the Oswego-land area since we normally have to travel to the Aurora/Naperville area for good eats. I was intrigued by the authentic offerings on the menu and had a really hard time choosing between the slopes (definitely trying those next time) or the chile relent. I opted for the taco dinner with 2 steak and one chile relleno with cilantro and onion on their homemade corn tortillas. The rice and beans were great and super fresh tasting, the steak tacos were seasoned perfectly and the meat was super tender. The chile relleno was good, compared to other chile relleno tacos I've had, Que Brava's are definitely 'pepper' forward instead of tasting mostly cheese. I actually enjoyed this but they were just a tad dry, definitely need to add some of the delicious salsa verde on top, but they were phenomenal. We also ordered the small 12oz chips and salsa which was great as well. I almost forgot about the octopus tostada! This was such a light a refreshing dish that is definitely going to be a staple re-order whenever I come back. Since this was a carry out order, I can't really speak on the dining experience but I'll definitely be back to dine in. It's decorated super nicely and is very clean. The cooks and the servers are some of the nicest people I've ever met too. Que Brava is by far the best place I've found in the Yorkville/Oswego-land area for actually good and authentic Mexican cuisine, I'd definitely check it out if you're in the area!

Shrimp skewer special with lemon butter and Mexican rice

Absolutely incredible. This is one of those unassuming strip mall finds that will fully blow your mind. The staff here genuinely care--we had multiple people check on us during our visit (unobtrusively). They were quick and eager to help, and our server was informative, friendly, and engaging. But oh, the food. I'm just going to talk about my meal because it was truly one of the best meals I've eaten out in a very long time. The shrimp were perfectly cooked, tender with a good snap, not at all rubbery or mush. The veggies all had good texture and flavor, and the side plate with the additional sides was a great idea. It let the skewer on its bed of rice stand out. I was surprised and, not gonna lie, delighted at the tableside service: he removed the skewer neatly, poured the lemon butter to my taste, and ladled the rest of the sauce into a small dish in case I wanted more. I also want to mention the menu: they've got a fantastic variety and our server highlighted the quality of their beef and that they make everything fresh to order. Also, they make their own tortillas, too. I'm not surprised at the care and quality because it shows very clearly from the second you're greeted at the door. Whatever you're looking for (a nice meal, great ambience, good service, a little treat, Mexican food, something fresh, something rich, etc), it's here. If you're debating food options, stop wasting time and just pick this. Tip them well & join their new rewards program if you're a sucker for hoarding points like I am lol

First time in and was pleasantly surprised. The food is excellent and the service was overwhelmingly great! David was our server and he was very knowledgeable about the details of the menu and gave great recommendations. Highlights: Complimentary salsa came out warm (I personally love), beer was served in a frosty glass with a salted rim, and I was able to see them freshly making and dropping the tortillas on the flat top from our table. Everything was tasty and so fresh; the salsa, the tacos and enchiladas! Also if you get a chance try the cookies, they were offering "bakery style" giant cookies when I stopped in and I took home a white chocolate cranberry that was the best cookie that I've had in months!! If I ever find myself in the area again I will definitely be back!

    Queso Fundido

Dined in for dinner. We were seated promptly and had great service. It is a smaller restaurant with a casual atmosphere. We brought two kids and they do have high chairs. We ordered the Que Brava queso fundido which was fantastic. I ordered the taco dinner and got the picadillo, campechano, and pescado. All were good, but the campechano and pescado were better. They were good about customizing a queso silla for one of my littles that was not on the menu.

Wow, the service here is the best I've had anywhere. Literally everyone working has checked up on our meal and asked if we need anything. Very pleasant and smiling faces. The margaritas are big, strong and delicious. Steak torta is out of this world. The steak is not dry or chewy. Oh & the chips literally melt in your mouth. So good and serves with warm salsa, even better! And WOW, the bread is amazing. Inside is so clean and open. It's very inviting when you first walk in.

It is extremely clean and welcoming. The quality of the ingredients is fresh and delicious. Best GENUINE Mexican food. If you've been to beautiful Mexico and had had REAL Mexican food, this is definitely the place for you. Completely catered to maintain the traditional and delicious quality of true Mexican cuisine.

This little nugget is a hidden gem! Went here for dinner last night based on amazing reviews on the Nextdoor app. Wow! The food was absolutely the best Mexican food I've ever had in my life. I had picadillo enchiladas and my hubby had a steak burrito. Both were delicious! The service was excellent. We were treated like royalty as soon as we walked in the door. We were checked on frequently throughout our meal. It's a family owned restaurant so it is mostly family who works there. Each person was so respectful and kind and sincere. Honestly, I'm so mad I've missed out on this place but so happy to have it in my life now. We will be going here frequently.

The waiter and hostess were so nice and personable! They bring you whatever you need before you even know you need it! They checked on my husband and I enough but not too much! The waiter even made us a drink that he made up on his own and it was great! They have customers in us for as long as we live in Plano!

It's got what one would expect from an Americanized Mexican place. The menu isn't particularly extensive but it's got most things covered it seems. For sure can't be complete without alcohol. It's about $9 for a margarita. We got a couple of these including peach. For sure you can't forget about the food. Of course any legitimate Mexican restaurant has to have complimentary chips and salsa. Yes they thankfully have this. It's about $9 for a burrito. We got these without meat, just vegetables. Okay but basic. They have bottles of hot salsas that kick this up at least. Other menu items are more authentic. They have meaty options including beef and chicken, and classic options like tortas. Crazy busy place at times and service can take about forever. It's located on Bridge Street in the plaza with the Roadhouse restaurant. The menu is pretty meaty with limited choices for vegetarians.

El Chile is located in Plano, Illinois; the outward appearance is minimal, as is the interior decor. However, the food and the service is excellent. Our waiter was very helpful, and very patient; I should mention he did not speak English well but he was trying to hard to accommodate us it didn't matter. I only wish I spoke better Spanish and perhaps this is something I need to work on for myself, but no matter: he was very attentive and very nice to us. The chips & salsa were presented first and the salsa OH MY GOD THE SALSA. OH MY GOD THE SALSA I have never had better salsa in my life. Thick, rich, full of flavour and bursting with spice and heat; it was absolutely delicious, and I couldn't get enough of it. Yes, it burned the roof off my mouth but who cares; it was incredible. It was clearly made from scratch using fresh ingredients and the care and attention to it was well noted. I ordered the carne asada tacos and they were incredibly delicious as well: hot, perfectly seasoned and my only complaint is that I should have ordered more of them! Hot diggity dog! There was a tray of wonderful dipping sauces presented with the tacos as well; I don't recall the different types but they were all tasty and delectable. The salsa was so good my client and I ordered a tub of it for each of us, to go...and I'm sorry to say it didn't last very long once I got home...oh my god, it was good! I heartily recommend El Chile and it is definitely WORTH THE TRIP.
