It has lots of healthy options including sandwiches and wraps among the quite big menu. Forget about asking if anything has dairy or animal products in it. The answer is no so just get whatever. Came on a vegan date to get on with our plant based eating. It has a menu full of freshly made beverages and food. They make their own kombucha. It's $4.99 each. The one I got was the Lemon Ginger Strawberry. Each of these had a tingly sourness that really hit the spot and felt sensational in the mouth. There was still the food and that was good too. I had the Green Roll. It's $8.50 for one that's a pretty big size. This has avocado, rice, and vegetables. It was even better than it looked. The rice was just mushy enough to have a creaminess and it mixed good together. She had the tacos special. This was 3 different types of tacos. I helped eat these and she never had to ask. That's the actions of a good guy. For sure we could go back. It could have weird hours so call ahead to make sure it's open. I have been eyeing this place for a while, however I didn't know it was a restaurant because the outside doesn't look like it. I came on a Tuesday for taco Tuesday. It was so yummy! My coworker and I ordered lunch from here. 1 burger, 1 torta, and 2 lemonades. Simple enough. I received a call from one of the workers stating they no longer serve the torta, so I decided I'd get a burger as a replacement. I received the call literally within two minutes of ordering, which I appreciate. The pickup time was set to 35 minutes after ordering, but my coworker warned me that they have slow service, so I waited 50 minutes before even leaving to get our order. When I arrived, it took over 10 minutes to be attended, which ok- they were busy. It's understandable. Long story short, they only made one burger. First a girl confusingly asks if it was two burgers. I confirm. She goes to the back, and then a guy comes out and says "I thought you only had one burger". I explain to him what happened with the torta; it had been him that called me I believe. Dude proceeds to say, "we only made one". He said they'd get started on another one, which I agreed to because at this point no one had even checked me out yet. I wait like another ten minutes. Someone finally comes to check me out, and out comes a single burger. I ALSO explain to that guy that I ordered TWO burgers. He goes to check on that, apologizes, and ALSO says they'll get started on it. I asked how long it would be, and he says another 15-20 minutes. I ended up just telling him to cancel the second burger. I got back to my job with an unfulfilled order almost two hours after ordering. I gave my coworker the burger, which was obviously cold at this point. I'm a healthcare worker and I've worked in the food industry as well. I'm as understanding as they come when it comes to wait times. The lack of communication and disrespect for other people's time is what rubbed me the wrong way. There wasn't really any apology from anyone except for the last guy I spoke to. Everyone else was just very "it is what it is"... for a very, very simple order. I hope the place can pull it together with organization in the kitchen. Went there for the first time I really wanted to like it so I can make it my to go place. However I was very disappointed actually I a little mad as well the service is pretty slow I went on a sat. Morning. I asked for a smoothie for my son and a juice for myself she made my sons smoothie with almost no fruit maybe a handful of berries but mine was tHe worse she didn't even ask what size until she was ready to make it and because I asked for a large she just add more water so I basically paid 15 dollars total for a bottle of water a handful of spinach and half of green apple the result of a very bad tasting juice. Will not be returning I know good juices and that should not even be called juice. read more

Great local gem that needs to get the word out! Only found it by happenstance this morning while perusing posts in a local Oal Park Facebook group. I ordered the Paraiso Smoothie Bowl and it was very good! Presentation was absolutely lovely, ingredients fresh and combo of nutrient-rich foods were fabulous! I ordered and paid at the register as I was unsure whether there was table service (I later learned there was). We took a seat and a server brought out a large carafe of water and two glasses. That was a super nice touch! The place is nicely decorated and brightly lit. It has a happy vibe to it. A few seated at tables had very large Ball jars filled with Green juices. Also notable was that it appeared the owner has a large clientele that are drawn in as regulars for the juicing and for nutritional advice or coaching as it pertains to combating ailments and perhaps weight issues. The owner herself stopped at our table to ask us if everything was good, which it certainly was. Great addition to the area promoting plant-based eating for health. I heard about this restaurant from a local, and decided to give it a try today. Beginning of 2020, hoping to start with clean eating. I will be back! The place is clean and brightly lit, friendly staff and prompt service. It's nestled in a Berwyn residential area, close to my home. But the best part was the food! I went in for lunch, ordered vegan pozole which was made with beautiful big earthy-tasting mushrooms and served with limes, radishes and shredded lettuce. I also got one each of the vegan tamales, which were one of the daily specials suggested by our server. I got one red and one green. Both were wrapped in banana leaves instead of corn husk, and beautifully presented and served with a cream sauce and red sauce. I preferred the green tamale but the red was good too. Everything was delicious, and reasonably priced. My friend got the vegan chilaquiles (made with soft silky tofu instead of eggs) and loved it. I will be back for sure. The menu is extensive, a little overwhelming but so many great choices including a zillion juices and smoothies. I had never realized that you can have vegan Mexican / Latin food before, it's a nice change of pace. I love Mexican food but it's not always the healthiest choice normally.
