I'm no vegetarian or vegan by any means, but I thought I had to give it a try because of those reviews. I read the description and I am a fan of the hen of the woods mushrooms, so I believed it would be good for sure and needless to say, it was great! The crazy thing is I didn't even have it fresh either. I was having so much trouble with transportation and accidentally ordered way too early. I didn't eat it until an hour and a half later when I got back to my hotel because it was getting so late. I don't think I thought it was great because I was hungry - I actually had a full meal before that. Anyway I had it cold and yeah it still blew me away, but I'm sure if I had it fresh out the kitchen it would've blown my mind and I would definitely come back again. The fries did get soggy however so nothing special about that. But they were seasoned well still!

My dining companions and I tried the cauliflower crunchwrap (a special), Nashville hot "chicken" sandwich, fried avocado tacos, and the bean maduro. One could choose between vegan and dairy cheese. The sandwich and Crunchwrap came with a choice of side: I got the cabbage slaw and my friend got the broccoli. All the items were tasty but portions were relatively small. None of us were particularly hungry at the time we got our food: despite this, we each had the space for ice cream at a different establishment after our meal. Needless to say, there were no leftovers. Visually, the ambiance was fantastic: all the artwork was evidently carefully chosen, and it felt like a less intense biker bar. Yet the music was exceedingly loud, even for a bar, and we were unable to hear each other for the most part during dinner. The lighting was dim to the extent that it was nearly impossible to fully appreciate the aesthetic component to our food. Perhaps lunch is a better time to visit. Overall, I will not come back for dinner, though I am curious about returning for lunch. The food is delicious enough to warrant a second visit.

I also really enjoyed the Salatim, especially the pickled vegetables, peaches, and labneh, although the baba ganoush wasn't as much of a favorite for me. The Summer Squash was another standout. There were so many different flavors and textures in the dish, and everything worked really well together. I didn't try the Iraqi Kubbeh Halab, but my dinner companions really enjoyed it. The Yemenite Kreplach was one of the more unique dishes of the night. It was good and interesting to try, but it didn't completely wow me. I also didn't try the Lobster, but my dinner companion said it was amazing. The presentation was beautiful, especially with the couscous. The Chocolate Babka was probably my favorite part of the meal. It was incredibly soft with rich, delicious flavors. I would absolutely order it again.

Only issue was at the end of the night: we got the bill and signed our receipt, and as we were finishing coffee- hostess came up to us asking us to clear the table to she can seat the next guests. I expect slightly more than a 10 min grace period to finish a coffee and use the bathroom and reflect on a meal at a Michelin restaurant. If she waited 5 minutes we would've already been gone.

I ordered with cheese and it was missing. Nothing good in terms of toppings. It was just all so basic. Fries were also kinda ok. Not great and they didn't send any ketchup. Overall, love that there's a place that has all veggies, but they probably need to step up their game if they expect to stand out and not just be another basic fast food joint.

The Impossible ground beef looked pretty undercooked - it should be brown, not pink; just like beef made from cows. Definitely not worth the. $12 I paid What concerns me is that Veggitopia is located in some weird, wanna-be food hall with other fast food businesses; how do I know if the food is prepared in a dedicated vegan-only food area? I was hoping to have a nice sit-down dining experience but walked past the address twice before I realized the "food hall" was the place. It's located on a part of Superior Street that looks like the homeless should be camped out there. There are cars parked randomly on both sides of the street so you have to weave around them, as they are not even parked legally (double parked). Apparently, this is some kind of mecca for Uber Eats. You go inside a relatively small space and close what restaurant you want to order from on a self-service kiosk. No indoor dining here; everything is to-go. The food was made fairly quickly but now I have to sit in my car in 20 degree weather and eat it Definitely not a fan of this co-op food concept at all. Avoid using the restroom here. It looks like it should be in one of the Saw movies.
