We normally go to Che'root since they have a full bar yes I know but it makes a good combo with a cigar. Stoked to stumbled to this place and Charlie greeted and helped us with choosing the right one. They have a huge selection even some wrapped in leaves. Great Lounge! Stopped in while I was in town for a few hours and by far the best selection I've seen for any lounge I've been to. Would need to go online to match their selection. Prices are fair considering all the California Tobacco taxes and the ambience was great as well. Friendly service and very knowledgeable staff. Comfy chairs, AC blowing cold and TV front and center for watching the game. Really enjoyable experience overall. Would highly recommend!!

Let's keep yelp real!!! Im from Modesto and had no idea this was here until a couple years ago. I've been here a handful of times now and have had a great experience every time. The humidor is stocked, almost overwhelming but in the best way possible because I was able to find sticks that I don't often see or are usually unavailable (sobremesa brulee & undercrown shade). Great selection, variety packs, cigarillos, and plenty of cigar accessories. Every time I walked into this establishment I was greeted and asked if I needed assistance in the Humidor. I have not gotten a chance to smoke inside but when I am back in town it will be one of my first stops. Highly Recommend!

I've been a Charter member since it was opened on Standiford in Pioneer Village in 2011. It's got to be without a doubt the largest walk-in Humidor in the State of California and an enormous excellent selection of premium cigars and fresh aromatic and soothing pipe tobaccos including cigar humidors, lighters, pipes, and all manner of smoking accessories. All this including a comfortable light and welcoming smoking lounge furnished with large flat screen TV's, comfortable leather chairs, smoking stands with ashtray's and butane cigar lighters at every seat and a positive air filtration system in use. The owner and staff are very friendly and exceedingly knowledgeable about all of their cigar and pipe tobacco inventory and selection and are more than happy to answer your questions and give you advice about their cigars, pipes, pipe tobacco, and accessories. I have been smoking cigars and pipes for over 55 years and this tobacco shop and lounge is without a doubt one of the nicest, most well run business I have had occasion to be a member and patron of on the West Coast or in the Midwest. Best place in town for premium cigars. I went down the rabbit hole on premium cigars and am able to find everything I'm looking for here. The gentleman at the counter is always helpful and answers all my questions. (I always have a lot) great place for all your cigar needs. Great staff! New customer but now a regular, I don't mind the drive for the large selection of pipe tobacco and great service. Not sure the name of the man behind the counter I have to make it a point to ask next time, but he was more than helpful with the questions I had and even toured me around the cigar room with many suggestions. My friend and I spent a most wonderful afternoon smoking a cigar at this outstanding cigar lounge. This was our second trip to the Cigar Club this year. We had a fantastic time smoking and talking with our fellow fans of the leaf! Everyone is friendly and easy to talk to. It was like we have known the people for years, and establishing a bond made it a very relaxing experience. I usually smoke alone in my backyard, but this made cigar smoking even more relaxing. There was a vast selection of fine, premium cigars. The clerk at the counter was very welcoming and friendly. He was very knowledgeable about cigars and willing to answer questions. I highly recommend this cigar lounge. I wish we had a cigar lounge of this quality in Stockton. read more

Cigar Club is not only the best cigar shop and lounge in Modesto, not only the best in the Central Valley, but one of the best shops in California. I frequently travel both to the LA and Bay Areas, and I have patronized numerous cigar shops in each area. None of the shops have the expansive selection of premium, top-shelf cigars that Cigar Club has: triple row, walk-in humidor. Cigar Club also has an excellent selection of pipes, pipe tobacco, and accessories. All of this can be enjoyed in a comfortable smoking lounge with multiple large screen TVs. The proprietors, Albert and Adam, offer friendly service and help. For cigar and pipe aficianados, Cigar Club is not to be missed. read more

This used to be a great hot dog restaurant. ,now it's a smelly cigar store. Don't really have much to say about ir seeing as how I don't smoke. Although for you stogie mongrels they do have a great selection of those great brown large coffin nails and even some very nice emphysema sticks. Enjoy. read more

The shop has the best cigar selection I have found from Bakersfield to Sacramento. The Walk in humidor is huge, with literally 100's of fresh cigars. The lounge has a home like feel with a great TV and always some one to have a smoke and some nice conversation with. You have to check this place out if you like cigars !!! The owner and staff are very helpful and knowledgeable plus they never seem uppity. This is the place to go for a smoke in Modesto period. Go join the Cigar club website mailing list for e mails on events, the events are awesome and happen once a month or so. I couldn't say more good things about Cigar Club. read more

Awesome cigar lounge. Ive been going on and off for a few years now. Compared to cigar lounges in stockton, Sacramento, and the bay area, this one is my abouslte favorite. Well this new location really lives up to the name "Cigar Club" The Humidor I think is bigger than the old location off of Henry. But more classy and modern. Still has a large collection of what all types of cigar smokers are looking for. Pricing up and down the list good. I hope to get back there soon. read more

I enjoyed a couple smokes at this shop in the past few months. The lounge area is a decent size, the humidor is immense and impressive. Unfortunately the staff doesn't stand by their products and have the attitude that once it leaves the store it's not their problem. Albert recommended 2 Xikar Humidification devices would be sufficient for my 400 count wineador. After placing them in and letting things settle for 3 days the humidity never got higher than 60%. I even went ahead and purchased my own XIkar brand polypropylene solution to make sure the devices were filled. I let them sit for another week to be sure and still nothing abouve 60%. Upon trying to return them to the store today, I was told by Albert that there was nothing wrong with his product and it must be my equipment. I have 2 calibrated digital hygrometers in my wineador. He wouldn't let me return the product for a refund or even store credit. Any decent shop would have taken the return or at least offered store credit. This shop seems to be ok with losing a customer over $50 that would have spent hundreds of dollars a year in their shop. read more

Huge selection, professional, very friendly, knowledgeable, well organized, and very clean. I visited Tobacco looking for a few new cigars to try and was blown away by their incredible selection and great customer service. As soon as I walked through the door I could see that this was a top notch tobacco shop. They had all of the cigars I was looking for and much much more. I've been to many reputable cigar shops and lounges in NorCal and this shop has by far one of the best cigar selections I have ever seen! I haven't used the lounge but other than the tacky lounge use requirements (membership or $15 purchase) it seems fairly well put together with great ventilation! read more

This place is great I have bought a few glass bongs here (for medicinal purposes) as well as hookah accessories and they have nearly all the stuff you need to build a hookah or get yours working's every flavor you can think oaths is also a family run business so it has great atmosphere's treat you good here they have a wide variety of cigars as well in a huge walk in humidity more can I say about this shop low procreate serviced variety's will be getting more of my money for sure. read more

this is the best cigar shop from san francisco to LA i subscribe to tompsoncigar magizine and cigare international and this shop is hands down the fairest in price if u go into this place and arnt happy then you dont know anything about cigars the owner and his brother are great friendly people and the are curntly working on a lounge area insid with a ventalation system so u can relax and enjoy some of the worlds finest cigars i work at end of the trail tattoo and im proud to have there cards desplayed on our counter its the only place i would send people i will never step foot in anothe cigar store keep up the awsome work guys read more

The food was just your typical diner type, greasy spoon kind of place. I got an egg white omelette with ham (looked like cut up pieces of thin sliced deli meat) and asked that fresh potatoes be boiled in water or steamed in water due to food allergy. What I got was fried potatoes. When I questioned the server he just said that's how they come. Do they not have raw potatoes in the back they could have boiled for me?? The taste of the omelette was meh and I only ate 4 bites. I obviously didn't eat the potatoes. The English Muffin felt oily, like someone touched it with greasy hands. I had asked for it to be dry and with no butter. So basically I didn't eat any of my food and will not be back (this was my third time here and none of the other experiences were any better.) Such a shame because it is only 5-minutes from my house. My dad ordered the chicken fried steak and my mom got the taco salad and both of their meals were inedible too. The food here is just BAD. I told the server I didn't like my food and he didn't even answer me. He took away three plates of uneaten food and no one asked if there was an issue and no manager bothered to come over to even talk to us or try and make it right. What a HUGE waste of money. Don't bother eating here...so many other places to eat that are so much better. This place was packed and no real waiting area...everyone just squished together. This is a hustling and bustling place, so if you are looking for a quiet spot, at least don't go when we did. Best part of this place is their wall for taking pictures. I think they care more about making things look IG worthy, than the quality of the product they are serving.

Both my wife and I ordered on their kitchen plate dinner plate and chose 2 items for $22.95 I got the chicken teriyaki and shrimp tempura. My wife got the KKBQ beef and mixed tempura. Firstly, I've been trying to cut down on sodas at restaurants even if i usually order diet so I asked just for water. The water had lemon but after a quick gulp, I realized it was the worst faucet water I've had in a restaurant. 2 stars It's so bad that I had to drink my wife's diet soda once to take out the awful tap water they had at Fumi. For sure if I ever came back here, I'll have to g out their soda since their water with lemon was awful. Ok, now about the food. Chicken teriyaki was good. It was thigh meat and the sauce was great. Good portion too. The shrimp tempura was okay. Very fried. The gyoza wasn't the best I had. Overall, 4 stars. I took a majority home. As for my wife's Korean beef bbq, I was going to get that but my wife said she was getting it so I got a chance to try without having both of us get the same item. To me- 2 stars. Didn't taste like the Korean bbq I'm use to and was kinda firm. Almost beef jerky like. Service- our waitress was nice and checked up on us. 5 stars Host area people - They have alot of people working at Fumi but it seems when there is 2-3 people in front doing nothing, they spend a lot of time talking. We were leaving and they kept on chatting. 2 stars Overall, an okay place but can't say I would be a regular here. Still, I'll give them a 4 star versus my old rating I gave 10 years ago

This is a hidden gem for cigar smokers in Modesto. It has the best selection of cigars and a nice selection of accessories. It has a fun atmosphere and Joe and Albert are great people.
