The food was amazing I loved the lobster tail and it was not that expensive I went with my friends and the waitress was so kind

Haven't been here for years and decided to go here since we were in the area. The place was packed for a Friday night and with us coming around 730 pm, we had to wait about 10 mins to get seated. Both my wife and I ordered on their kitchen plate dinner plate and chose 2 items for $22.95 I got the chicken teriyaki and shrimp tempura. My wife got the KKBQ beef and mixed tempura. Firstly, I've been trying to cut down on sodas at restaurants even if i usually order diet so I asked just for water. The water had lemon but after a quick gulp, I realized it was the worst faucet water I've had in a restaurant. 2 stars It's so bad that I had to drink my wife's diet soda once to take out the awful tap water they had at Fumi. For sure if I ever came back here, I'll have to g out their soda since their water with lemon was awful. Ok, now about the food. Chicken teriyaki was good. It was thigh meat and the sauce was great. Good portion too. The shrimp tempura was okay. Very fried. The gyoza wasn't the best I had. Overall, 4 stars. I took a majority home. As for my wife's Korean beef bbq, I was going to get that but my wife said she was getting it so I got a chance to try without having both of us get the same item. To me- 2 stars. Didn't taste like the Korean bbq I'm use to and was kinda firm. Almost beef jerky like. Service- our waitress was nice and checked up on us. 5 stars Host area people - They have alot of people working at Fumi but it seems when there is 2-3 people in front doing nothing, they spend a lot of time talking. We were leaving and they kept on chatting. 2 stars Overall, an okay place but can't say I would be a regular here. Still, I'll give them a 4 star versus my old rating I gave 10 years ago read more

3.75/5: Stopped by to grab a few rolls on the way to a friend's and Fumi was the pick. I have been here long time ago. The waitress who took my order was friendly and service was fast. Inside is pretty spacious and they have a bar too it seems like for the night for those who wants to sit there. I sat where the chef was working with his apprentice and watched their work for a little bit while I waited for my order. Got cheery blossom roll and spicy tuna roll and sashimi. The rest of the rolls they had are not what I want b/c of cream cheese and fried food on it which i don't prefer in my sushi. Cherry Blossom was fresh and tasted great. The tuna roll, I had to take the spicy sauce that's on top because it was overwhelming. You won't taste the fish with that sauce. read more

This is one of my favorite places to go when I am on this side of town! Their Spicy Edammame is soooo good! The staff is always so helpful and I enjoy talking with them! We went here this year for my wife's birthday and our waitress was so attentive and loved stopping to chat with us! The inside is always clean and I appreciate how they maintain the area. This place is not good. The seafood does not taste fresh at all. We are a bit far from the ocean, but your sushi place should serve good quality food. Didn't take pictures of the food it wasn't worth it and we didn't finish it either. They wanted to take some plates off the bill. We ordered online and went to pick up our food. It was 9:00pm when we got there and on the door their hours were posted for 10:00pm the doors were locked an hour early and the open sign was off we had to know on the door even though there were other customers inside. Fumi sushi is a one and done for me. We ended up here on accident due to the people we were meeting getting lost. I ordered the teriyaki lunch with shrimp tempura. The tempura was not good. Frozen and then deep fried. It just looks very sad. The chicken was super salty too. I'm not sure why the seasoning was so heavy but it was not a great meal. Service and the establishment itself were great; however when it was time to pay there was no one in sight and we ended up waiting over 20 minutes for someone to come give us our check. read more

i've been coming to fumi's for years, it's always really good. my all time favorite will always be the payday. i love their strawberry and chocolate mochi, gyozas, and calamari. i've tried different rolls, udon noodles and some of their other dishes and everything has always been delicious. i think the only thing i didn't like was the fumi special but i don't really like plain rolls, so that was my bad for ordering it. i'll probably come again, it has a great ambiance, servers are really nice, and there is a lot of seating. read more

Food is good. I tend to order the same rolls each time and they always come out perfect. Their baked muscles are amazing and their edamame is good but nothing special. This restaurant was clean, has plenty of seating and parking. The food was absolutely delicious! I was craving sushi and these rolls hit the spot! We loved the spicy garlic edamame, it had a sweet savory but spicy taste to it. The Hamachi lover roll was refreshing and I was surprised how the cilantro was a great topping for each bite. The Hungry roll was big and had a lot of sauces and toppings on it but it was delicious as well. After eating those, we wanted one more roll and the server suggested the Bluefin roll which was delicious as well but not sure if I will get it again. Overpriced & slow. Two weeks ago I Came to order to go, I got 1 roll & they said 20-25 minutes. It took over an hour . Complete waste of time. Then couple days ago my bf ordered pick up order over the phone around 6:000 pm-- he got busy at work & forgot about the order. They called him at 9:25 saying " we close in 5 minutes come pick it up" what the heck??? You couldn't have called at 6:30 or 7?? You call 3 over hours later for us to pick up old sushi ? I also didn't even receive the "SF 49ers" roll that was entered incorrectly and instead received an Energy roll for which I can't eat due to having a mango allergy. I originally ordered the King Kong and SF Giants roll. The customer service has gone down hill. You are lucky if the hostesses at the front even make eye contact with you when you walk in.
