My wife and I headed up north for a couple of nights to celebrate our anniversary. We just adopted a beautiful dog from Aruba and didn't want to leave him with anyone so we decided to stay at a pet friendly Airbnb in North Conway. Our first night there we noticed Cigar Shenanigans on our way up and figured we would stop in later and grab a couple of cigars. We were greeted by the owner Penny and her dog Winston and were told they were a pet friendly establishment. We couldn't wait to go back the next night with our pup Romeo. We ended up staying there almost til close. The dogs played most of the night and we enjoyed the company of both Penny and Valentino (the owners) who made us feel right at home. They have an amazing space with the most comfy couches, a full bar with plenty of beers on tap too! Cigar selection is amazing and the owners are very knowledgeable and helpful with finding you what you like. They are the only establishment in that area that keeps the bar open til 1AM. We will def be back and will tell anyone that goes up that way that this is a place you cannot miss! Thanks for a wonderful time and being so welcoming! read more

I was a regular at this spot, stopping in every time I traveled to North Conway on business and was always treated well. Just tonight, I stopped in for a drink and a cigar and was treated very poorly by the woman at the door. When I walked in, she demanded that I take my mask off. I told her I was planning on taking it off when I sat at the bar, and she responded aggressively demanding my mask off and to show her an ID. As a 43 year old business traveler, I decided to leave based on her poor treatment and lack of professionalism and respect. I understand a local business can do what they want, but this is the epitome of poor customer service. I think there's another cigar bar in town. Going to find it now, and in the future. read more

Huge, bright, comfortable, unpretentious... all words I normally would not use to describe a cigar bar, unless I was at Shenanigans! Came with 3 others and we brought our own cigars so I cannot speak to the staff's selection or knowledge but they treat you like family here! The space is huge and you really feel like you are hanging out in your friend's cozy living room rather than out at a lounge. I love that they have a bunch of board and card games available to play too... we played Clue and had a blast (it was Miss Scarlet with a knife in the conservatory.) At one point during our evening, a group of 4 rolled in and started playing videos on their phones extremely loud. Totally killing the vibe, you know. My group simply got up and moved to another area. Our waitress noticed and came over to apologize for the inconvenience and even gave us 10% off our bill! Totally unnecessary but extremely appreciated! Knocking one star only because I would have preferred a little more air flow... maybe I just need a smoking jacket, I'm not sure. Came here randomly after talking to some locals about trying to find a cigar to cap the night. Couldn't have been happier. We were greeted by the owner when we walked in the door and given a tour of the place. Which is massive. Dog- friendly which is great! Beautiful bar area up front with plenty of beers on tap, the back area has multiple set ups with big, leather couches and coffee tables in front of big screen TVs that make you feel like you're home. Fireplace in the back room made the place feel cozy despite its size. Massive cigar selection in the humidor and the owner will help you figure out what's best suited for your taste- super knowledgeable. Great drink selection and friendly customers. I wish we lived closer, I'd definitely stop by more often. Highly recommended!! read more

What a disappointment! Our server was rude and abrasive from the beginning because we wanted to wear our masks. She asked us numerous times to remove our masks (we did when she checked our IDs) and when we said we prefer to put them back on, she said if we were so concerned about our health we should have stayed in Massachusetts! We tried to plead our case for wanting to wear masks and she kicked us out! Come to find out she's the owner... Have whatever beliefs you want but don't force them upon your patrons. Such a disgrace. If you are not a local then do not go. We went on a recommendation from a brewery that we dined at. They were near our hotel and open late. The minute we walked in, we were treated so incredibly rudely. We honestly thought he was joking but after we sat down and ordered a round of drinks, he was continued to be unwelcoming and disrespectful. We were completely surprised by this, we came in very happy and friendly. He was mocking us to his other customers who were clearly locals and regulars that were at the other end of the bar. We quickly paid for our drinks and left. We are professional bartenders from Boston for over 20 yrs, we were dumbfounded by this bartender's behavior. It's a shame that they have someone like that there. Definitely putting the word out to everyone to NOT GO HERE! This place is a new gem in North Conway. As soon as you step into the building the first thing you think is Cigar Bar meets Classic Ski Chalet. From the cedar lined closet to hang your coat to the leather furniture and amazing wood work. I could spend hours walking around and looking at the amazing artwork that is furniture and end tables made out of wood from the building, cigar boxes and labels. As soon as we walked in the door we were greeted by the owners and given a tour. This is true pride in hard work and it shows. Cocktails are reasonably priced which is a shock in the North Conway area and the staff is amazing!! Very attentive bar/wait staff. Give this place a try. You will not be disappointed. read more

We went there opening weekend, had a great time...remodeled beautifully and all the staff is just awesome. Very large humidor with a lot of different cigar choices and prices. Large place with lots of seating in very comfy chairs, relaxing atmosphere. Many cigars and spirits were enjoyed along with a lot of laughs. I will be upfront and say I was the side kick, not the person smoking. I got a cocktail and yes, I was a happy girl. I LOVED Shenanigans! Clean, wide open, nice comfy leather furniture. There is a very cool modern art installation in the main lounge room and then when talking with the Owners, Valentino and Penny, I learned Penny created it. You could not ask for nicer people to greet you and help you. The Bar is a fun place to sit and hang out at too. The Humidor has a large selection. Excellent ventilation, I'll admit it I am not a fan of smoke in my hair and clothes. We had such a nice visit in the afternoon, we went back later for an after dinner cocktail and a smoke and were entertained by the Dean Machine. They rocked it! Ladies, your husbands will love this place while you go off to the Outlets. Classic Win Win! And ladies you will feel comfortable walking in to buy a cigar or two for gifts. read more
