I posted earlier this week about being dissatisfied with the restaurant, but I'm back today to say that I returned with my family and received exceptional service. Regarding the gentleman I complained about: I not only want to apologize but also express my gratitude and acknowledge the great service he provided to my family--I believe there was a misunderstanding before. I want to put on record that we have never had food this delicious--super fresh, well-prepared, and full of flavor. I can't single out any one dish because everything is wonderful. Great service, exceptional food, and perfect drinks. I'd say that coming to Conway without eating at Delaney's makes no sense. I offer a special apology to that gentleman for the misunderstanding, and I want to thank and congratulate the team on an excellent restaurant--it is certainly the best. read more

Decent place. It's a cool old house converted to a restaurant. Certainly has that "neighborhood comfort" feel. And that's exactly what it is. The menu is varied with salads, burgers, pizza and even sushi. We had a burger, the pizza, Thai salad and the sushi. The kids loved the sushi, we enjoyed the pizza, dad enjoyed the burger, but the star was the Thai peanut salad. It was huge and delicious. Service was good. In all it was a good stop. This restaurant was established in 1994 and offers pub and comfort fare. We read the reviews and decided to stop in for lunch. The menu was vast and the interior was cozy. The service was great. I had a couple of drinks which were made well. One was essentially a spiked Arnold Palmer, delicious. We had Philadelphia sushi roll for an appetizer, random but fresh and delicious. Then I saw another patron eating wings so I was influenced. Those wings were so good! Crunchy on the outside and juicy on the inside. My family also enjoyed their meals. We are fairly new to the area and find ourselves returning to Delaney's when we can. I usually order the burger which is so delicious with good fries too. My friend got the lobster roll with clam chowder this week and he said they were fabulous. Nice thick chowder and the lobster roll was plentiful and fresh. We have tried assorted appetizers and we are always glad we visited. Employees are always really friendly and our server was Savanah this visit and she was fabulous. Place has a nice vibe, we prefer sitting in the bar area so we can watch tv while having a few cocktails and our meal. Plenty of parking. We are return customers here. This restaurant is a lot of fun! It's a large restaurant with great pub food, sushi, and seafood dishes. As a nice joke on the name, there is a small hole in the wall that is enclosed that you can see from the outside. The walls are filled with old decorations, TVs, Conway signs and decor. The food was overall good. We started with the Thai salad. It was enormous and comes with pepper, sunflower seeds, cranberry, sunflower seed dried, almonds, and more. This salad was so good that we got it to go the next day! For entrees we got the Texas Tornado sandwich (boneless chicken breast with bacon) and the Surf and Turf Burger. The chicken wasn't dry and the sweet potato fries ($2 upcharge) were good. For the surf and turf, I didn't feel like the lobster blended well with the burger so I took it off and ate it separately. The French fries were finger licking good! Our waitress was really nice and friendly and make some good conversation and recommendations. The wait time for our entrees was a little slow. read more

Delaney's Hole in the Wall absolutely delivered. I ordered the Surf & Turf Burger and honest-to-God it was one of the best burgers I've ever had. Perfectly cooked, super flavorful, and the combo of the seafood with the burger just worked way better than I expected. The whole vibe in here feels local and comfortable, like the kind of spot you stumble into once and immediately want to come back to. Service was quick and friendly too. If you're anywhere near the area, this place is 100% worth stopping in for--especially that Surf & Turf Burger. I'd go back just for that alone. read more

We haven't been to Delaneys in a few years....but glad we stopped back in! As with a typical North Conway spot - super busy on during February vacation - but we didn't mind the wait. The shrimp po boy was amazing. They loaded the sandwich with tons of shrimp and the sauce was perfect. New Orleans would be proud. We had a long wait (about 45 minutes) and it was only 5:15 on a Thursday. Luckily they have a waiting area with benches and they give you a buzzer. The menu is big and portions bigger. The staff was fantastic (Allison) and good with our son. We started with the cheesy garlic bread...YUM!!! I had the Caesar salad pasta meal, definitely different but kind of what I wanted...(steak tips and pasta), my husband got the ribs and loved it. We didn't have room for dessert, but would go back. I've been coming to North Conway forever and I'm surprised I've never been here! The decor of the place is great, very homey with kitschy woodsy accents. There's even an actual "hole in the wall." It's a nice touch! I tried one of their homemade sodas, which was pretty good! I didn't get to enjoy it with my meal however because the service was really slow. Maybe I was just starving, but the food felt like it took absolutely forever to arrive. It was good at least, although I wish the Farmer's Grill sandwich was a handheld rather than open faced but I survived. Flavor- wise, it was great! And the sweet potato fries were excellent. If I were braver I would've tried their sushi, and my family actually wanted to come back here during our visit so I would've tried it then- but we didn't make it back. But I definitely would come back!! There is also a great parking lot and it's right on the main strip there in North Conway so it's super convenient. read more

Visiting from out of state and was recommended to go here for dinner. Busy Friday night but we only had to wait about 25 minutes for our party of 4. Menu was interesting as it had a mix of a lot of things, pizza, burgers and sushi! Our server was patient and attentive but nothing over the top. Food was good l, it did take a little while to our app to come out but understandable as it was busy. The cheesy garlic bread was tasty. Ordered the blue cheese burger and it was cooked perfectly juicy and so tasty. Someone else in my party ordered a pizza which was okay, a little too greasy for my taste. Kids meals were good and came out quickly which was much appreciated. Very local tavern decor and feel to the place. A little loud but nothing too crazy. Such a strange place that I now adore. Who would have ever thought about getting sushi at a self proclaimed whole in the wall that mostly serves American bar food. But god, the sushi was good. Whenever we visit North Conway in the summer, you can't get near this place. Visiting in January, it was still busy, but we were able to snag a spot in their parking lot and pop in without any trouble getting seated. The environment is great for families. The tables are covered with paper you can color on. The menu had quite the range of choices, making it easy to please all of our different palettes. A sushi menu was the biggest surprise of all. My son (8yrs old) and I both got pizzas. He's very picky and just sticks to cheese, while I'm more adventurous and was excited to try the Maui Wowi, which was a twist on a Hawaiian pizza. These were about 10-12 inches in size, thin crust. I was able to eat it all (started on an empty belly) but he had a couple of slices leftover. My daughter enjoyed the Texas Tornado Chicken sandwich but did comment that she felt the chicken was kind of under seasoned and she felt it would have been better fried. We all got root-beer to drink and thought it was pretty cool that it was made by Delaney's. For being in a touristy part of town, the prices weren't too steep. The food is incredible! The menu is quite overwhelming, but in a good way! Everything sounds delicious and you've got it is all - from basic burgs and sandos to uniquely crafted house specials. There's seafood, pasta, meat, and even sushi! I'll admit, I was a little skeptical of the sushi, but wow, did it blow me away. I ordered just one roll, the Christmas Roll (tuna, cream cheese, avocado and topped with tobiko sauce, $9.99) and was amazed by its freshness and smoothness. It all blended so wonderfully. I fully regret not ordering another roll. It would have worth the food coma! Our delightful waitress convinced my husband to try their evening special, a Tex-Mex inspired dish. I couldn't remember the name, but I do remember what was in it (sautéed chicken and shrimp with garlic and salsa on fiesta rice, topped with cheddar and monterey jack, served with white corn tortillas) because I wanted to try and recreate it home. It was absolutely phenomenal. The flavor profile was magnificent! Notes of cumin, garlic and chile powder (ancho?) that delivered a little kick. The dim lightning made for bad pics, but I highly recommend asking for this dish if your in a mood for some bangin' flavor. I certainly will if I'm ever around here again. read more

Sad I didn't stop in sooner. We've been going to North Conway for years and always drove by. We stopped in for the first half of the Super Bowl (2025 ). Delaney's Hole in the Wall is the poster child for the depressing "tavern-food" scene. With all due respect the staff works hard, and they were quite verbally welcoming to the mass influx at opening time, and they have to deal with a constant mob scene which is no picnic. But be that as it may, it is beyond me why anyone would choose to pay money to eat here. I got the Bacon Blue Burger which was a dud in all ways. The bun was stale and dry. I suspect the staff probably never bothered to wrap up the bag of buns and thusly making all stale. The patty was dry as can be and utterly flavorless (chopped sirloin was boasted on the menu but it was just awful) and the blue cheese was just a few crumbles and far too little to even be detectable taste wise. And it was like 15 bucks. This burger was not "designed" for any positive end-quality result. You simply you get what you get: a waste of money and a lousy meal. The Chicken Fingers were the skimpiest thing I've seen. I actually did a "double take" when they appeared. Literally scraps of chicken each about the size of your little finger and paired with a few slivers of cut celery and carrot -six fingers in total for 13 dollars. The Caesar Salad with Steak Tips was minced up janky yellow and white lettuce and a few things with a couple of tough overcooked tips. I do realize this place does not purport to be farm-to-table gourmet or whatever, but this is basically just carelessly and haphazardly made stuff here and I'm sure "prepared and plated" at a frantic pace. It's loud AF in here too. Stay home and cook or just go hungry and save your money. There is no reason to go out of your way to come here. I do apologize that I have no pictures but trust me on my verbal account. It's food... I guess... NOTE OF INTEREST: I have near 300 YELP reviews, and I have never been to a place with food this poor that has a four-star overall rating. Interesting indeed... maybe people are on an endorphin high and/or extra hangry from skiing? Stay out of Delaney's Hole -you'll feel better about yourself in the morning :) read more

This is one of the more popular food establishments in the area, so be aware you may have a wait! The prices are pretty similar to other places in the area, and in my opinion on the high side for bar food. I would say the salads on the menu are totally worth the price (I often get 2 meals out of an order). For takeout: Place takeout order before 6PM! They do not take other orders after this time since they get busy. It's all indoor seating with a classic bar area and high top tables. The. They have a separate seating section if that's more your style. They have a medium sized parking lot that is almost always full when I pass by. The sushi is priced on the high side, but it's one of the only places that serves it in town. They have both classic and speciality rolls. It was fresh and we enjoyed it, great if you have a craving. I would pass otherwise due to the price. There are several other options on the menu that give way more bang for your buck. **They have GF bread and cider options! They will only let you be seated if your entire party is present. We were waiting outside for them to open for 15 minutes and then had to sit and wait another 20 for the last of our party to arrive. It seemed like a lot of hoops to jump through just to eat lunch at a restaurant. The food was okay, not overly good or bad. The menu is ample, so there are a lot of options, at least. Our server wasn't friendly, but was proficient. Maybe they were having a bad day. The other staff seemed kind and helpful. The decor was fine. It kind of felt homey. On our trip through New England, there have been hits, and there have been misses. Delaney's was a big hit that came in clutch after several misses. The seafood pasta was fantastic, and the lobster roll and chowder combo for $28 was a a holy grail order. It was coastline quality seafood, with a generous portion of lobster, for a more than reasonable price for both items. The mozzarella sticks we started with were great as well. Additionally, the staff was so friendly and welcoming. Our server was very kind and personable. Just a quick shout out to Delaney's sushi! When you think of North Conway, NH you don't immediately think of sushi! In fact, one might consider eating sushi in the White Mountains as pretty risky. Well those who feel that way will be pleasantly surprised by the excellent and fresh sushi delivered by Delaney's! While we've eaten in the restaurant many times, the other evening I stopped and ordered a couple of rolls to go. The Crazy Jeremy and Lobster Lover rolls were simply amazing!
