Been a customer of CI for many years and attend their annual CigarFest. Overall, no major complaints, always easy to order on line, and cigars are of great quality. I originally stated 3 stars, but changed my mind to 2 - because of a horrific customer service issue I experienced today...I called to notify them that my order was missing a promotional lighter and cutter. They were accommodating to ship a replacement to me - but felt the need to inform me that they were filing a shipping claim with the carrier. They did not even ask me if the box was opened, damaged, etc. Note I am NOT a big fan of UPS - but filing a claim before doing some due diligence just sounds wrong. I am keeping the box and packing materials if needed by UPS - and look forward to telling them that everything was intact when received. It worries me that this company is quick to shift blame and overtly tells that to a customer. In the past, I had the same issue with them not shipping me a box of Media Noches (~$150) Same issue and response from customer service - and guess what - it was CI's fault for not shipping. This is now round 2...Makes me wonder about doing business with, and the integrity of a company who's first response is that fault lies with someone else. read more

UPDATE on my gift card review. I received my $50 gift card in the mail on Christmas Eve, I have had ZERO problems of getting mail so the fact that it took these folks 5 mailing days to get me a gift card (not to mention that it took them 7 business days to MAIL it after the initial order is terrible service.In fear of not getting it in time, I spent another $50 for a gift card of another cigar vendor and emailed a digital gift card immediately. I was nervous about ordering a humidor as a gift online, but decided to take a chance with Cigars International. I ordered the "JFK" model and a cigar cutter on a Tuesday, and had the items in my hands by Thursday the same week! The shipping was fast and affordable - just $6.50 for a HUGE, well packaged box for my items. The packaging was a very sturdy box with air filled buffer that kept the items safe. Before placing my order, I was worried about the quality of the wood and finishings of the humidor. After opening the package I was really impressed with both items. The wood on the humidor is perfect - not a scratch or imperfection to be seen, seal is great, fixtures well polished, gauges fit well. The price was very good considering how well the humidor was made. Cigars International will be on my list for future gifts for my cigar-loving husband! read more

The issue is the delay in shipping. I would think that people that pay for and utilize priority or express mail is because they want the item sooner rather than later. Your rationale is the customer will get their order within 5 days from the day CI ships. So if that day is the 3rd or 20th, the customer still gets it within 5 days of shipping. This is ludicrous. This place is awesome!! A big jump from their smaller location in downtown Bethlehem, this place is one ginormous humidor. They carry pretty much what you would expect to carry if you've ever read their catalogs. The prices are reasonable, they have an unreal stock and they have a nice lounge in the back. I was there for an event in the early summer and they did it up right...cookout, giveaways and tons of people. Definitely visit here if you live in the area or if you are passing through! read more

This review is based on my personal experience with a 200$ order from CI February 16 2020. The majority of the cigars I received are fake without a doubt. I only smoked very little from about 5 cigars. I've smoked cohibas , macanudos , monticristos , nubs , etc all my life for over 15 yrs amongst even higher end cigars . The order I received had a bunch of counterfeit cigars branded as high end cigars. 1 of the nubs tasted like ammonia and I got dizzy after about 6 puffs I contacted ci via in account messaging and didn't get response for return I will never order from them again Out of about 50 cigars, I tried 7 and gave up , figuring if some were bad it's ok as maybe quality control lacked giving CI the benefit of the doubt Some were good out of the 50 maybe 5 were good and real brand. I had been a loyal customer for a long time, giving the monthly cigar club to my son as a Xmas present. I loved C; he loved CI. But, when his humidor was overflowing, I decided to stop the monthly cigar club for a while. Last Christmas, I wanted to give the gift to my son again, but this time I had a completely different experience. The difference between experiences was like night and day! It took 2+ months to resolve the first issue (Pay Pal arrangement set up via CI's website -- over-charge by PayPal -- CI retracted their PayPal offer). Problem finally resolved and another arose! I got an email from Elizabeth and I immediately responded by canceling my order altogether. I was just done with the nonsense!! She must've ignored my email, because I was charged again! They sent my order to the wrong address. I had an adult friend pick it up from UPS. UPS requires a release from Cigar.com (LV Penn) by fax. Cigar.com refused. The ONLY online cigar retailer I use. CI's customer service is second to none. I had an issue with a lighter that would not light. Purged-refilled with quality butane-purged-refilled. Nothing. Sent the lighter to the manufacturer per the "warranty repair" instructions which came with the lighter and, guess what? The address was no longer valid. The lighter came back to me over s month later. I emailed customer service, noting that the return deadline had passed. Jon emailed me within the hour! They are going to exchange the lighter and if the second doesn't light, they will make arrangements for a refund. Awesome. As for the cigars, I have ordered many boxes from them. In both locations, the staff is very product knowledgeable and can recommend something for you if you are looking for something different. In a world where customer service seems to have taken a back seat, not so in these stores. You are number 1 from the moment you enter, to well after you have enjoyed your last smoke.
