I got 15 cigars, tried to smoke 4 of them, zero draw, threw them out. i called to see what solution i could get, and their non-chalant customer service rep: Lauren, mentioned that since i had tried to smoke 4 out of 15 cigars, the best they can do is give me $5 coupon for my next purchase. Reason being because i tried to smoke too many of them. The 15 cigars were placed in 2 separate orders by the way, so i've basically tried to smoke 1 out of each 5 pack, just to test. $5 coupon when i spent over $100 on cigars. i will NEVER buy anything from them again, do yourself a favor, STAY AWAY FROM THESE GUYS, its good when your order is smooth, but the moment there's an issue, they simply don't care. I have spent a bunch of money on high end cigars with these folks and have had for the most part bad product. Trying to smoke one of these cigars is like trying to smoke a telephone pole. No draw at all. It must be the way they humidify the product. Most recently I called to replace the last box they sent me. They said I would have to wait for a UPS sticker to arrive in my email. This would take about a week. Seriously, with today's technology they cant e mail me a refund acknowledgment the same way amazon does? First off just let me say, I am a long time customer and was always very happy with my orders and shipping times. I have raved to all my cigar smoking friends about the monthly cigar club and how awesome it was. Had a number friends sign up due to my reviews. Unfortunately, the last few months my orders have either taken nearly a month to receive or lost, never to be received. Called customer support and yes they were courteous but really unhelpful. (CALL center in PHILLIPINES) BTW, they lie and pretend their not Filipino. I Speak Tagalog (Filipino) and can tell. Anyway had to cancel my subscription, don't want wait a month for my order. After some checking I found out that the way my order was being shipped was Parcel select to Hawaii and this is primarily used for ground shipping and you can't get to Hawaii by ground. The call center had no solutions and really seem to not care at all. So I had no choice to cancel my long enrolled subscription. I'm bummed out about this and really not sure why they changed shipping types. So beware when ordering, it may take awhile. Also they don't answer emails. read more

Don't buy there cigars i ordered a pack for vacation and i paid for 2 day shipping so that Friday i was waiting on my cigars never got them because of age verification team. So then i called them and spoke with this guy to cancel my order and he said he would give me a 20 dollar off coupon on my next order. So then i put in the code didn't work. So then i tried placing another order same pack i talked to this lady and she said i would put 20 dollars off of this order so it was only 35 dollars i had to pay. Also did 3 day shipping while i was on vacation So i waiting on my order to get here on Thursday or Friday. Never got the pack of cigars again so i called this guy to cancel and just give me a refund someone told me 3-5 business days then he said no it's 5-7 business days to get the refund. Then i checked again didn't get cancelled and it's still trying to process and ship out and i told them no i wanted a refund. Six fucking years, tens of thousands of dollars spent, and I am motherfucking done with these pieces of shit! My last order, February 24, 2017, has not been filled yet, still "processing", sitting on pallets waiting for tracking number, according to customer service, whom I called 3 times with 35+ minute wait each time. My orders up through December 2016 rarely had a problem, I mean over 6 years I had maybe 2 or 3 mishaps, but then corrected immediately. I am back to Jr Cigars, where I originally started, much more professional, good customer service and no PA sales tax charged. Now as a proper and ethical citizen of this Commonwealth, I pay my use tax each year on goods purchased from out of state. ;-) read more

The only reason I'm giving them 1-star is because it will not let me go any lower. I would give them "0" if I could. Been a loyal customer for over 5+ years and have spent thousands. I remember the days when they would even give you free stuff for being a returning customer. Not anymore. Now you can hardly get anything worthwhile with any size order. The past three orders with CI, or its counterpart cigar.com, have been unsatisfactory. I'm not buying the excuses about their software glitch anymore. Here's a hint -- switch back to whatever you had before because it actually worked. Order delivery times have gone from approximately 7 days to close to a month (APO mailbox). And from the other comments out there, I guess I'm lucky to even have received any of my orders. I'm waiting for my last order and its been 3 weeks. I have completely run out of cigars in the meantime. The past two orders were lucky to even arrive. The outer shipping label on the box did not have my name on it. It had my APO box number, which is the only reason the postmaster put it in the right place. Other people where I work had no name, no box number, nothing. I saw the Bethlehem, PA, address and knew exactly what their issue was. Furthermore, the paperwork receipt inside the box did not have my name on it either. And when I went to the account page on their websites to try and update my shipping address, it comes back as an error and doesn't show the name once again. Kind of hard for a package to find the recipient when the name isn't even on the shipping label. I'm done with this company. For a company to have a known issue and still allow packages to go out without a customer name on it -- that means quality control is broken. And that is why hardly anyone is receiving their orders. It's not rocket science!!! They would be faster physically writing the customers names and address on the orders. This company is probably out of business. My husband has ordered from them for years. When he ordered last week the representative said he wasn't in the system and seemed generally unfamiliar with the order process. He was set up as a "New customer" and she blamed "computer problems". Over a week later, no confirmation or email of the order and we cannot contact them (phone is not answered and they are closed during hours they should be open). Don't waste your time, contact your credit card company and dispute the charge. The company is probably defunct and trying to defraud customers in an effort to squeeze the last bit of cash out of a dying enterprise. After you contact YOUR financial institution to dispute the charge you should also watch your credit card and email for hacking and fraud. When situations like this occur your data is likely comprised or sold to very nefarious characters. Shop local, we can't seem to find any reputable online company and their prices were about the same as our local shop and no shipping hassles or risk of dried out cigars. read more

The cigar selection and pricing is good but their customer service is the WORST. I order frequently but I check my order online to make sure I see it ship in a day or so. when I do not I know something went wrong with order and the trouble begins. If you call their customer service prepare to wait 30 minutes. Then prepare to be told they will fix it. Sorry, for yrs I have been recommending CI but their Cust Service has not adapted to C19- which is unfortunate. My 6/2 order was lost (actually still shows never leaving the UPS facility); 3 emails to CI and 3 30 min holds on the phone and they never responded. Didn't respond to VISA either and VISA finally credited and closed the case. My 7/24 and 10/31 orders were processed via PayPal and then cancelled by CI with no notification to me at all- and again, you cannot get a hold of anyone at the company via email or phone. I did place an order through Cigars.com and received everything I would have normally ordered through CI. I will no longer purchase from CI and while I don't want anyone to lose a job; CI if you are not going to do it right then close up shop and let someone else take the orders. read more

I will never order from this website again. As a first time customer, I thought Id order a sampler to see how the process of order from their online store is like. Turns out it is an absolute nightmare. I placed my order and verified my age receiving an order confirmation. Little to my knowledge, tucked away in my spam folder was an email stating that I once again needed to verify my age OR my order would be cancelled. This email came in 5 days after receiving a confirmation email. When I spoke with customer service about this issue, they did not honor the 1 week shipping, told me there was nothing that can be done, and then hung up on me. I have reached out via email and phone call 6 times over the last week. I have had no responses from customer service. Utterly in shock how poorly they treat customers. GOING DOWNHILL FAST! A year or so ago, I'd give these guys a 4. Some good cigars at good prices. My favorites have gone up by about 33% ($30 sampler now is $40), but worse yet, far worse yet, is the quality. 3/4 of my cigars are TOUGH to smoke. Don't stay lit and it seems like the tobacco leaves don't want to burn. Including a box of Cohiba reds; that kinda turned my crank a bit, cause those sticks are pricey. Customer service is non-existent, as you'll see in a ton of other reviews. These folks are the biggest scammers. never buy from them!! I purchased Ashton cigars and they sent me a different brand that was probably worth 15% of the value of the Ashton Cigars. Then I was on hold for 30 minutes with the customer service department and they never responded. Then I sent them an email and they didn't respond. I then disputed it on my credit card and the credit card company couldn't get a credit. So i was responsible for a $284 bill for cigars I never received. This review is for mail order side of business. Recently purchased +$480 from Cigars International and box of CAO Columbia cigars delivered were quite damaged. Went back/forth with Customer Service 4x before being told that because I had partially removed cellophane wrapper to inspect damage, they would not refund cigars even if I returned them as proof for damage. How the heck was I supposed to determine how bad/extensive cracking was if I didn't partially remove from cellophane? Idiots. Did offer me 1/2 box of inferior cigar as compensation. If they had started out with that, I'd not have taken time to write this review. However the wasted effort of going back/forth with their Customer Service only to be disappointed in end, is what frosted my ass. Have used Cigar.com extensively in past + brick/mortar stores. One of the items was backordered and they charged me for economy shipping instead of emailing me to say it was backordered. Stinks! I haven't been to the store, but I ordered a box of cigars which came with a signature bobble head for my bachelor party. I was told they were sold out, but they would be getting them back in stock. I complained after 2 months of waiting and was told I'd be given a free box of nice, highly rated cigars. At the 3rd month my debit card had been replaced, and the order was finally ready so My info had to be updated in their system. I revised my information on their website and called in to a rep for their company. The rep assured me the information would be updated, and my order would be shipped. I then received an email stating that my order had been cancelled after I had given my information to a rep. I called and complained, and was told too bad after waiting 3+ months! Customer service was rude. I received zero cigars. I have never had such bad service with fake promises. I ended up going to Famous Smoke and receiving cigars within 2 weeks no problem, but still didn't have cigars in time for my bachelor party. I will never use Cigars International again. read more

I ordered a humidor and few knick knacks, and requested 2 day shipping because I was going out of town and wanted it all before i left so it wouldnt be sitting on my door for 4 days. CI started out really great. They serviced me well. The biggest threat you face with internet cigars is getting dried out hay bales if they ship them wrong, or take too long. I'm in south central Texas where it's pretty warm, so I try my best to time the orders so they don't end up sitting in UPS semi's over weekends. CI used to fulfill internet orders in a timely manner. The company that owns CI has pretty much cornered the internet cigar business so many of the other online cigar sites are owned by them. I think this has created too much business for them to handle properly. My last order took 4 days from order placement to processing. That's too long and threw me into a weekend... So I'm sure when they arrive next Tuesday I'll have 100$ worth of hay that tastes like diesel exhaust. Goodbye CI. I've spent a lot of money there over the years too... P.S. I received my $50 gift card in the mail on Christmas Eve, I have had ZERO problems of getting mail so the fact that it took these folks 5 mailing days to get me a gift card (not to mention that it took them 7 business days to MAIL it after the initial order is terrible service.In fear of not getting it in time, I spent another $50 for a gift card of another cigar vendor and emailed a digital gift card immediately. I do not recommend doing business with Cigars International. Their prices are pretty good and their catalog is nice. If you do decide to do business with, you need understand that that it is a total one way street. If you ever have a problem, they are going to resolve it totally in their favor. Working your way up the management chain will do you no good. I had cigars aging gracefully in my humidor for 9 months with no issues. Decided to further add to my stock with another order from CI. Within two weeks, I discovered cigar beetles in the most recent cigars. I have electronic humidification and two calibrated humidification gages (one for the top and one for the bottom). When I discovered the issue and contacted CI, it was anything but their fault. Sent in photos of the beetles, CI says it's just a tear and to proceed smoking it. After I looked at it carefully and see that it's actually a white fuzzy larva in there, CI says sorry about that. Next, they state the humidity is too high. Next, it was that I only have a partially stocked humidor.....and on and on. It might as well have been planetary alignment was off that day and therefore they are not responsible in any way. In short, I'm told that everything is my fault and to have a great weekend. CI conceded exactly 0%. So now I get to either spend the weekend trying to solve a beetle problem or throw the entire stash out, which is what I'm going to do. The issue is the delay in shipping. I would think that people that pay for and utilize priority or express mail is because they want the item sooner rather than later. Your rationale is the customer will get their order within 5 days from the day CI ships. So if that day is the 3rd or 20th, the customer still gets it within 5 days of shipping. This is ludicrous. This review is based on my personal experience with a 200$ order from CI February 16 2020. The majority of the cigars I received are fake without a doubt. I only smoked very little from about 5 cigars. I've smoked cohibas , macanudos , monticristos , nubs , etc all my life for over 15 yrs amongst even higher end cigars . The order I received had a bunch of counterfeit cigars branded as high end cigars. 1 of the nubs tasted like ammonia and I got dizzy after about 6 puffs I contacted ci via in account messaging and didn't get response for return I will never order from them again Out of about 50 cigars, I tried 7 and gave up , figuring if some were bad it's ok as maybe quality control lacked giving CI the benefit of the doubt Some were good out of the 50 maybe 5 were good and real brand.
