I've been ordering from CI for years without an issue, my last order delivered was missing my primary cigar (Luscious Lyon) which they must be out of, because I did receive the "Free Cutter" , these cigars were the main reason for this order, the other samplers purchased i did receive . Ordered cigars from them back in Feb on a "Special Promotion" they sent me in an email and still have not received anything including an order confirmation. Have tried to call them only to reach a busy signal. Have emailed them twice and no response. Simply horrible horrible customer service. I order high end cigars from this place often. They are a reliable vendor. They get 3 stars because I do NOT like that the cigars arrive BEFORE they actually send me a tracking number. Every other online vendor send you a tracking number as SOON as the item ships! Also, they usually have what you want, but this place is TOO expensive. So, one star off for taking too long to send you an email with a tracking number like Amazon and one star off for being too expensive. Let's face it. Cigars have a HUGE mark-up and vendors take advantage of this. This place is no exception. They DO have a great variety of cigars. I smoke Padron 1964 Anniversary Series 'A' Maduro BOX OF 10 costs $333.00. So that's $33.30 per cigar. This is my FAVORITE cigar, but they charge WAY too much. Oh well, what can you do. DON'T BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE. Placed an order for $156 for 40 cigars and a humidor. That was 2/11/17. They said it would be here 2/17/17. NO GO. Tried calling them over and over and over. No answer or a recording places you on hold for ever. Went on their website and filled out a customer service form that said I would get a response in 24 hours. NO GO. Made another call to their 888 number & got a message saying I could leave my number & they would call me back at day's end. NO GO. I was new to the world of online cigar purchases. I typically order from three places, CI used to be my go to. But the other two had almost identical prices and identical or better shipping. I kept CI on my list because they have a great selection and I loved their samplers. Problem is I thought it was acceptable to find out that a few cigars were damaged or unrolled while cutting/smoking them (even after spending weeks in my humidor). But then I started noticing that I didn't have this problem with the other two retailers. I sent CI an e-mail, letting them know of the issues I had and heard nothing back. I placed one more order for some sort of sampler and out of 10 cigars, four of them were unsmokable. I sent another e-mail, got no response, and just decided to not go to them anymore. read more

Cigars International always has great deals on that perfect smoke for the aficionado. I have been dealing with this company for some time now as well as their auction site (Cigarbid.com). If your not sure what smoke you like they have sample packs as well at great deals. The shipping is fast and reasonable. On top of their retail store they hold a yearly event at the Split Rock Resort in Lake Harmony PA called Cigarfest. This event is worth every penny as when you walk in the door you are given duffle bag which contains a humidor filled with 25 cigars and an ashtray for you smoke. The establishment is filled with cigar vendors and a variety of vendors with their select vivations for you to sample. The cigar vendors hand out a cigar sample so by the time you leave the event you walk away with about 50 cigars and a relaxed attitude. This is in regards to their website / mail order service. I was skeptical of Cigars International, mostly because I noticed their catalog at work and they tended to be more geared towards newer smokers. Or, at least, that's the impression I got when I browsed it the first several times several years ago. Recently that all changed when I searched their website and found great deals on great cigars that *I* actually liked. It all started with the Maxx Curve flat press 5-pack and I never looked back! Since then I've made 8 more orders and haven't had a problem yet! Well, that's not entirely true. I did order 13 sticks of the Ave Maria Holy Grail - the salomon shaped cigars from that fantastic mild to medium strength line of cigars - and when I got them two of their caps were busted. They weren't even worth smoking; the damage was so extensive it was like trying to suck through a broken straw. The first thing I did was send them an email. Within two days I got the response that when I placed a new order my busted cigars would be replaced! Today I did just that (ten d.7 Diesel Unlimited sticks), called them up and told them about the order and they added replacements for my damaged goods to the order! Naturally, I'm satisfied. I rarely ever purchase my favorite cigars from these guys because they don't have the cheapest rates on everything. They do, however, have great deals on a lot of things, so if you can cast a wide glance you're bound to find something really inexpensive worth trying. Those salomon Holy Grail's I mentioned earlier? Bought them for $5.80 a stick. The d.7 Diesels? $4.10 a stick. That's a savings of about $4 a stick, depending on where you shop! Part of that good pricing is related to their unique "Make Us An Offer" service, which is linkable from the front page of their website. That's where you make an offer and they decide whether they want to part with an item for that price. I've tried it out numerous times and managed to grab some decent, well below cost, deals. I have been a dedicated online customer for almost 15 years - never a hiccup. Early 2017, they supposedly experienced problems with their inventory controls. Since that time, they have been absolutely horrible. No customer service via phone or email. Several months delay in shipping ordered and paid for products. I'm moving on. PS. When I called to check status of my order and find out when the back ordered item would be shipped , the rep stated that it would be 4 months and order would probably be cancelled . I am retired and went for the sale priced Olivia, Portege cigars. $32 is money for me. I have PRETTY GOOD experience with low end decent cigars. The cigars I received HAD NO TASTE AT ALL, JUST SMOKE! I wish I could give it no stars. I purchased the Cigar of the Month package as a Christmas gift for my husband. CIGARS INTERNATIONAL WENT OUT OF THEIR WAY TO MAKE THIS THE WORST GIFT EXPERIENCE. The first package did not show up at Christmas but in mid-January, after I had to make countless calls to check on it's whereabouts. Every time I called, I was promised that they would overnight it and I would have it in a day or two. Never once did the company send an email with a notice that it was on back order or explanation for the delay. When the December order finally show up in January, the cigars did not match the cigar information packet. A couple of days later, the same package arrived. When I called to ask why are we getting the same package, without any apologies for inconvenience, they said that was my January shipment and the same packet was all they could offer me. The finally straw is they charged my credit card for the entire package and then again for the month, basically double billed me. Then refuse to remove the charges. What a terrible company! Do not use! I ordered a birthday gift 4 weeks in advance. After 2 weeks I had not received a confirmation, so I called. After 40 minutes on hold, I decided to use their contact us. Never received a response. After 1 more week (still 1 full week before his birthday) I emailed again. No response. So then I decided to call and sit on hold for 45 minutes. A great customer service agent answered and promised to overnight my shipment so it would be here on time. Nope! It didn't arrive Thursday as promised, the tracking number arrived Thursday stating it would be the following Tuesday. 4 days after his birthday. Getting the order cancelled is even worse. They won't refund me until they get the shipment back. Well I never even received it! What a joke this company is. So many chances to make it right, and still didn't. Glad I found out before giving them my business! They used to be good. They have outsourced their customer service and I can't help but think this has a lot to do with the problems. I've been ordering from CI for almost ten years now. They've screwed up in the past but they have recently taken the incompetence to a whole new level. Additionally, when they messed up in the past, they always tried to make it right. Out of my last three orders, one was wrong and the latest one still hasn't arrived. It was first sent to an undeliverable address (they apologized and admitted fault) then returned to the company. It sat for a week and they didn't notify me until I called asking. That was nearly three weeks ago. I have called several times and every time a person that knows English as a second language, tells me they are going to fix it. Nothing happens. I am calling today and will hopefully be able to cancel the order and get a refund. The previous screw up, they sent two bundles of the same cigar when I ordered different ones. They apologized but did absolutely nothing to make it right. Maybe they're now too big to care about individual customers. That's okay. They've lost this one. There is far too much competition out there to stand for crappy service. Good riddance Cigars International. read more

1 star because you cannot leave a negative. Been ordering from CI for over 10 years. They have shipped to Bosnia, Iraq, Afghanistan, every APO I have been stationed. They always looked out for me and the others I recommended them too. Not anymore.. The worst customer service I have ever experienced (Jessica). Looked at my account at an ordered that had not processed, checked the information and went to the next page and it gave a confirmation number for today, it was a gift that needed to arrive by a certain date. I had chosen expedited shipping. So I called customer service within minutes. Spent 10 min on hold, asked to modify the order to next day shipping, was told NO, CANT, asked to cancel the order, was told NO, CANT. Asked if it had shipped from the store in the last 15 minutes and was told no, cant. Asked to talk to a supervisor and was told NO, CANT. none on duty, none available. WOW.. Never was really into cigars until a friend turned me onto them. I usually just smoke an Acid or another flavored one once in a while (I know all of you cigar buffs are cringing at this!). Great experiences for years, but never went through a return or needed to work with customer service and all I can say is "wow". Called to return a herfador that snapped a latch and virtually no questions asked and the return was sent to me via UPS as well as a new herfador from them. I placed my first order with CI and was pleased to have a great experience. I've been looking for Bandidos all over the place and this was the only place that I could find them. I also got one of their deals where I received a 40 gar humidor and 10 stoges for $20 bucks. The humidor isn't as cheap as I imagined it to be, I mean com'on, $20 bucks for it and $10 gars. Impressed after reading all of the recent posts of dissatisfaction. They may have had something happen in the last couple of months. Which judging by these posts, may have lost a few customers but they just gained one with me. I haven't smoked the gars or taken them out of their packages yet. They feel nice, not brittle or to soft. Placed order on 6/30 and received it today. If you are a new customer or thinking about using them. I would say go for it!!!! Mt past experience has been good but recently placed an order. The was a problem with the order and they never contacted me until 10 days later. These cigars were a gift fora bday on the 21st. They sarcastically told me that there automatic system sent me an email on the 12th. I explained that that did not happen as I checked all inbound email since the 10th. They just didn't care and had an attitude. All I was looking for was the exact time of there supposedly automated email and they did not give that to me.
