Sushiato @sushiato Plantation, FL New location. A bit small but clean. My server could have been a bit more attentive but she was busy, I understand. Here's what I had: Tropical Mojito Crispy Shrimp Bao Buns Volcano Roll Crunchy Bites Everything was tasty. This relatively new eatery is in the Publix Plaza at the NW corner of University Drive and Peters Road. And Sushiato is on the west side of the plaza, along with a lot of other new places. The restaurant is small but cozy and nicely decorated. Three of us went for happy hour on a Friday (even though we don't really drink alcohol). We got the Samba Ceviche with mango, avocado, corn, tostones, and pickled red onions ($21). It was extremely flavorful but some pieces melted in your mouth and some were chewy. The sauce, which had passion fruit, was to die for. We also got the Dracula sushi ($10---half size is half priced during Happy Hour), the spicy tuna ($8), the spring rolls ($8), and the crispy nigiri ($15), which was beautifully presented. The Dracula sounded intriguing with tuna, avocado, crunchy flakes, and roe. But the dish did not live up to the wonderful description. My friend loved her egg rolls and the crispy nigiri. She said she would have loved that crispy rice in some sort of dish. The spicy tuna melted in your mouth and the spiciness was just right. We liked it so much we ordered a second one. The server was very polite and congenial. When I complained about all the cream cheese (almost every item had it included) and my lactose intolerance, she said they would gladly make the item without cream cheese. Our bill for 6 items, a diet Coke, tax, and tip was about $90. The only real Happy Hour deal was the $8 spicy tuna (with 10 pieces).

This is after I mixed it with the sauce. It does come with avocado, pickled red onions, passion fruit, and corn.

It's a really cute place and the service was very welcoming. I ordered the Samba Ceviche and it was overall disappointing, extremely fishy, and all of the Corvina was dark. I wouldn't order that again but I will try sushi next time. The photo is after I mixed it as it does come with avocado, pickled red onions, corn and passion fruit.

After dining here tonight I now understand the concept of Sushi Fusion. By 6pm every table in the restaurant was filled due to the great happy hour. The Pork Belly Bun was super tender, the Sushiato Crab Salad was delish and Kaizo Soup that was filled to the rim of the big bowl with shrimp, crab, udon & vegetables in miso soup - I loved it. The large carafe of sangria was only $12.00 for one of the happy hour deals.

I almost gave up trying this restaurant because the address listed on Yelp was incorrect (1041 instead of 1009). After using another search method, we finally found it. Not disappointed at all; the place is charming but small. We were lucky it was empty even though it was happy hour, but half an hour later it started to fill up. From the happy hour menu, I chose the - "Asian Mojito" for $7.00. I personally loved it because it didn't have much mint, and the flavor was very mild. - "Hight Tide Bites" for $14.99 my favorite from the trio was sushiato salad; the salmon and tuna tartare had more avocado than fish in them, but overall, they were all very tasty. My daughter chose from the regular menu - "Fried Chicken Bao Buns" $8.00, which she said was very good. - "4 Leches Jar" for $12.00, very tasty but very small for the price. Our waitress was very kind and attentive throughout. I really liked that they have a menu book with just photos of the dishes, and also that during happy hour they have a dice game where if you roll two 6s, your bill is free. We weren't lucky, but I thought the idea was super original and fun.

Very cute little restaurant in Plantation, right next to Burtons with a large parking lot Inside it is clean with modern decor. Can't wait to try the food!

Wow! Wonderful lunch today and the food was so creative. The specialty rolls are really special. The sauces are next level in bringing out the fresh sushi flavors. We ordered from their main menu and they even had a lunch special where if you order 2 of their designated specialty rolls you get a third free. Tiger, Falcon, Dracula. We didn't order the Tiger but got two Dracula and loved the Hibiscus sauce on the side. The Kani roll is also so special with the truffle oil dipping sauce. Definitely an artful presentation with incredibly delicious sauces. The Crispy Nigiri was a little too crispy but the sweet sauce and the fresh topping were outstanding. Service....Best ever. Our sweet server made sure everything was perfect for my lunch. Water was refilled generously and plates cleared as we finished. Prices are very reasonable and the inside decor is very interesting. They even have a little library area of interesting books as decor. I had a great meal here and will definitely be back to try their Happy Hour and other daily specials.

Came here for dinner with my daughter and it was amazing! So happy we stopped in! The following night I ordered for pick up and again tonight! The guava roll with jalapeño is delicious! I enjoyed all their tartares but the Sushiato salad is my fav. I have also tried the Dracula roll and santo pecado were so yummy! I'm hooked on the guava sauce as well so I had some in the side!

Small boutique Japanese,Spanish fusion restaurant It's in a shopping plaza plenty of parking I ordered the fried shrimp bao bun and a tempura sushi roll that had salmon cream cheese and avocado. Unfortunately he didn't put my order in. I only got to taste the shrimp bao bun which had too much sesame aioli. I had a Japanese strawberry soda. Overall I was disappointed with the service. I sat waiting for my food while the waiter was on his phone. After about 15 minutes I asked for my food and he was oblivious. He acted like I didn't order anything else. He said it will take 5 minutes to make. I declined. Paid my bill and tipped then left.

Sushi auto was a very nice experience, food was great, location is nice and easy to get to, and I liked the small cozy restaurant environment. We ordered - Gyoza (steamed and fried) this was pretty good but exactly what you expect with taste. - Ceviche (Classic) this was really good and enjoyed it. Very fresh and had the perfect flavoring. This is an item you'd want to share it's a nice portion. - Tiger & Volcano Roll - was very fresh, great portion size, and I enjoyed every piece of it. - Fried Rice - this was my biggest disappointment unfortunately. All the ingredients were fresh and great quality but what was missing was the Asian flavoring of a fried rice. It just tasted like normal rice. I am hoping this was just my experience and that it was just an off night on the fried rice but I probably wouldn't order it again especially with how expensive things are today. The service was fantastic. The food came out quickly but I would have to say maybe too fast lol. We weren't even finished with our appetizers and the main course was coming out. I do recommend a visit they have a very nice menu and picture menu of all their sushi items so you can see what each roll looks like. Wish Sushiato the best and remember this is just based on my one time experience and my opinion.

Mix of Latin and Asian is fun and different! House music system was nice! Good atmosphere here!

First off the cool vibe of this place with music, and friendly welcoming service was great!!!! The food though was just above average. My wife said her miso soup was plain and her salad with ginger-carrot dressing, would be better on shredded iceberg instead of the mixed greens. I LOVED the variety in my Bento Box, but it promised portions of two different rolls, but these looked and tasted the same, so it was slightly above average! Next time I'll order a Shrimp Tempura roll, which is my fave! We will go back!!!

The eatery was buzzing on a Saturday evening with its modernly decorated dining room constantly filling up. Seating about 80, it also sports a sushi bar. Our server, Jensen, provided great service and excellent suggestions. I had an otoro version of a margarita. It came with sugar on the rim. Not to my liking. We ordered the coconut rock shrimp appetizer that came with large, meaty shrimp and a great dipping sauce. But the shrimp had no flavor and was very bland. We also had the tuna crispy rice. The presentation was lovely. But the appetizer was underwhelming. For dinner we had the cucumber skin roll with tuna, salmon, and a avocado. Again, a beautiful presentation with tuna that melted in your mouth. But again, not impressive. The standout was the curry udon with chicken katsu; thick, meaty udon noodles; and a delectable curry sauce so good I slurped up each drop. Of course we had to try the pandan creme brulee and the ube flan. The latter being the better of the two desserts. Dinner for two with 1 alcoholic drink, 2 appetizers, 2 entrees, 2 desserts, tax, and tip was $128.

I had a great time the first time, and yep it's still that girl. Let's talk about the vibe real quick. The ambiance is everything. Modern, and just really well put together. Let's get down to the items shall we? What We Had Drinks ____________________ + Naori Signature Drink ($15) : 8.4/10 This one's made with Pisco Berries and Triple Sec. It's a layered, fruity cocktail that's a little more complex. Personally, I prefer the Pisco Sour it's cleaner and more balanced for my taste. But if you like citrusy and berry-forward drinks, you might love this one. Again, these are my reviews based on my taste buds. You might feel differently and that's ok honey. + Espresso Martini ($16) : 9/10 Strong, chocolatey, and gets the job done. + Lychee Martini ($16) : 8.6/10 Clean and balanced. Not too sweet, just smooth and refreshing + Pisco Sour ($16) : 10/10 My fave. Fruity, with this nice cold foam on top. Pretty sure there were peach or passionfruit notes in there. So good. * Shots - We also did a round (Don Julio, I think), and it kept the vibe going. Appetizers/Entrees __________________ +Nikkei Tiradito ($19) : 10/10 Thin tuna slices with a shouyu sauce that had a little citrusy kick. I could've had another plate just for myself. +Grilled Octopus ($20) : 8.4/10 This was good! Cooked well, had a nice char. Not my favorite thing on the table, but still strong comes with Peruvian corn and potato. +Arroz Chaufa Special ($24) : 10/10 Babyyy this dish was everything. Wok-fried rice, perfectly seasoned. That filet was so tender, and the shrimp just brought it all together. Easy standing ovation for me. * Dessert - I honestly can't remember what we ordered for dessert, but it was decent. Nothing crazy. I'd give it a 7/10. Overall Experience: 10/10 Customer Service: 10/10 Would I Be Back? Without a doubt. I even told my mom about this place and I think she went a couple months ago!
