We ordered a meatball pizza and my first impression that it appeared a little on the small side - However, it was a legit 16 inch pizza - I guess my eyes are too big when it comes to great pizza. The meatball pizza tasted really great - the mozzarella was creamy and milky exactly what you would expect. The crust was really good too - The pizza was definitely a winner. The ham and cheese calzone was incredible. I really liked the taste of the mozzarella, riccotta coupled with the saltiness of the ham - this all really worked!! We had a dinner here wIth group of 14 people, and it was awesome!! We had a bunch of different dIshes including pinwheels, grandma bites, and ravioli to start. Their tomato sauce is amazing. Tortellini carbonara, veal francese, and chicKen cacciatore for entrees. The chicken fell off the bone on the last dish. So good! We were so full but we still had some desserts. Went here this past Sunday tonight to get some takeout for me and my family. We ordered a plain pie, penne marinara with meatballs, a Caesar salad, and an eggplant roll. When we went to open the penne I found a metal fixture(see picture) sitting on top of the pasta. I immediately called the restaurant and asked to speak to the manager. I was put on hold for 5 minutes and when the manager finally picked up the phone I explained what had happened. His response to me was "Ok, what's your address? We will bring you a new one." there was no apology or any bit of surprise in his voice. I told the man that we did not want a replacement, we would just like our money back. He told me that he would not give us a refund. I obviously got upset by this and told him how unsanitary this was and asked him to explain why we could not get a refund. His response was "I don't understand why you are getting so crazy, we will bring you a new one." I told him not to bother and hung up the phone. So after that unsatisfying phone call, I drove to the restaurant to see if I could talk to the manager In person. I asked a man at the counter to speak to the manager and he told that the manager does not come in on Sundays. So either I spoke to someone pretending to be the manager, or he didn't feel like dealing with me. Whatever the case may be, I will never ever go back to this restaurant. Poor service and even worse food. What a disappointment. read more

So we were lucky enough to have been invited to a friend's baby's christening celebration today at Ciminellis. The appetizer of garlic Italian bread with fresh tomatoes and covered in melted mozz was incredible. Next up was a delicious house salad and penne with a delicious marinara. I ordered the shrimp parm and my wife had the eggplant parm which we split and man oh man both dishes were fabulous. We finished up with some great coffee and a great cake care of FRANCESCO'S bakery which I have reviewed before. The service was OUTSTANDING. The staff was on point and we were never without anything for even a second. I cannot tell you just how much I love this little neighborhood gem. My husband and I went to here last night For dinner after many people suggested it was delicious.. Worst Meal ever.Everything was flavorless. My husband had chicken Parm that was tough as could be. Not pounded it out. The sauce tasted like it was hunts right out of the can. With no seasoning at all. I had Italian wedding soup. And waS hard-pressed to find any of the pearly pasta, and only five little meatballs. Basically chicken broth. Terrible. Our server was absolutely wonderful. I have mixed feelings about Ciminellis. There are times when I come and their specialty slice selection is vast and the food tastes great. Other times I come and their selection is limited and the pizza is just ok. The location is pretty convenient for me so it's one that I frequent fairly regularly. I've never dined in the restaurant portion but I'm told it is pretty good. I have however attended events where Ciminellis did the outside catering and I must say I was pleased with the food. Had a wonderful dinner at Ciminelli's Saturday night. We were a group of 10, and from start to finish everything was great. We had 2 waitresses, Adriana and ? (Sorry, I forgot her name) They were both so nice and friendly and were on top of everything. Everyone's entrees were delivered hot and delicious. We opted not to order dessert but the waitress knew we were celebrating 3 Birthdays. She told us they were getting ready to close soon and she brought out a tray of Tiramisu, Cheesecake, Cannoli, and Chocolate Cake on the house ! Unfortunately I had a poor experience with Ciminelli's. I placed a large order in the early afternoon to be delivered later that day. I received a confirmation that the food will be delivered at 6:00. The food didn't get delivered until 7:15 and everything was COLD. My husband and I discovered Ciminelli's dining room many years ago and are now regulars. Our family and friends enjoy eating there as well. The cuisine is tasty, the atmosphere is casual and the staff are friendly, and efficient. Honestly, there isn't anything on the menu we don't like. The bread and garlic knots are delish too. Good place, it's on our lunch rotation. The pasta specials are tasty and inexpensive. For $6.95 you choose a pasta type (spaghetti, rigatoni, penne, fusilli, angel hair, linguine) and a sauce (marinara, spicy marinara, meat sauce, bolognese, a la vodka.) The portions are relatively large and come with bread. Their non-special menu is good too, but expect to pay a bit more. Finally their pizza is pretty good as well. The biggest downside of this place is the parking lot. Gets crowded quickly and there is a big bump to get into it, so watch your bumper. One warning, towards the end of the year there are a lot of luncheons that go on here. If you come and the back is full of a big party, service may suffer. If you're in a hurry then just get pizza up at the front. read more

As a Staten Island transplant, Ciminelli's Pizza is the closest in quality to the city's thin slice I've found in range of my home in Bethpage. I've found most Nassau pizza joints tend to go with thicker crusts, but the one served here suits me just fine. They also make a nice, crunchy shrimp parm hero that is out of this world. Wash it down with a Yueng Ling, which they have on tap! I've found most of the specialty slices aren't out of this world, although they do make a nice fresh mozzarella and basil slice. But you really want to eat here for the regular slices. The restaurant in the back is serviceable enough, the staff is friendly, but don't expect any ground breaking cuisine: just nice, affordable and standard Italian fare that will leave you plenty full and content by meal's end. read more
