My friends and I came here on Monday night for pasta night and gained it's the best deal I've ever seen: fresh homemade bread (that focaccia was INSANE), house of Cesar salad, pasta of your choice (there were SO many to pick from), a cannoli, and a cup of coffee for...$18.95! There's a spuntino in garden city which I never seem to get into bc somethung always comes up. But this location since it's located right next to urban air I had the pleasure of trying out. Ordered the salad w artichokes, olives, green, cherry tomatoes, balsamic vinegar and added grilled chicken. ( I love salads) don't mind me . This restaurant was PACKED I tell you. Mi kids we are next door enjoying their little bfay party and I ordered take out. Upon arriving there were 3 counters. 1 for walk in to go. One for pick up. And another I saw was for phone orders. This has been my go to pizza place for the past 11 years. Ordered a penne pasta ( pasta was great) & pie through slice app Sicilian pie with half cheese and half added broccoli and onions. The cheese side was fine and great. The onion side of the pizza was the most disgusting thing I've ever seen or tasted. Kids said the onions were like slugs. We always get onions from other places and they are thin cut and cooked ..I don't know what they were thinking to put like a pound of half raw oily onions on that half, as well as soggy broccoli. So gross. The whole bottom of that side was wet and you couldn't even pick it up without it tearing. I did contact slice about the issue. I told them I don't want a full refund. Just a partial for the half with the broccoli. They offered to send another one. I was like hell no. Never want to experience pizza with onions like that. And to say I spent $50 dollars for the pie and side of pink sauce pasta. A lot of money. They didn't agree for a partial refund. So here I am leaving my review. Lost a costumer. read more

The innocence of the times of playing Missile Command, Robotron, watching Monster Club, Heavy Metal (the movie) Anwar Sadat getting wacked, Star Wars figure set (still gottem), 875 Dow Jones and 10.25 percent inflation when US finances were credible. And, a few short years later - military high school here I come -- score one intuition point for the cloth. But most of all I remember the great pizza, the perfect food for any meal for any time for me. Morning, noon, night and late night refrigerator raids. Both then and now and the options of pizza parlors were -- and remain quite plentiful, it's NYC dontcha know. Now, I'll tell you that I didn't dip my day old (potentially older) cold mushroom pizza into my morning coffee back then, watching the grease streaks swirl around like circular comets tails, swirling around the bobbing mushrooms floating on top, which might sound yucky - but, don't knock it till ya try it. So when I went to visit a friend, I went with half mushroom and half sausage - I believe it was a 16 inch pie and a grilled chicken Caesar Salad to infuse some ruffage. Any Hobbit would have jumped for joy at the mere sight of the heavy wristed can flip as the mushrooms were piled atop more than what I've seen here in Forest Thrills, that's for sure. The crust was plyable like foam rubber and although not crispy, it was a pleasantly soft bite and structurally sound to keep the toppings from running down hill and away. read more

We had a really nice first experience at Spuntino in Dix Hills and our server Emily made it even better. She was kind, super attentive, and helpful with the menu. We tried the chicken primavera which was amazing and the fiorentina which Emily recommended and it was delicious! Emily was such a pleasure and her great service stood out so much that we just had to let the manager know how fantastic she was. Delicious and probably the best pizzeria in the Huntington Station area. The brick oven baked pizzas are all fantastic. The grandma pizza is packed with flavor. You can also order the pita bread and it's a incredible with butter. The dinner order of pasta are also good, like the Pasta Montanera. If you're in the area, definitely stop by. read more

This place is pretty solid. Pizza is reasonably priced for speciality slices, about $4 a slice for the 5 we bought. The grandma slices were absolutely delicious, the fresh garlic was fantastic. The Sicilian slices were good as well, but more of a standard fare. The Buffalo slice I had was delicious, but not too spicy - I would still recommend it because it does not lack in crisp crust or flavor. What stands out more than anything here os the service though. Everyone we spoke to was extremely friendly and kind. Based on staff alone I would wholeheartedly recommend this place to my pickiest family members. Go! Enjoy a beer, have a slice. I love thin crust, brick oven pizza- the thinner the better- but this was like eating a cracker with cheese and sauce. It also tasted like gluten free cardboard, it wasn't gluten free. I had been to Spuntino previously maybe 1-2 years ago for a bridal shower which I thought they did a great job for but I've never sat down for dinner here. We dined in, were sat quickly and appreciated the social distancing, the staff wearing masks and gloves, and the frequent sanitizing that we saw. I thought the food was good, we were a party of four and ordered different things to get a taste for everything from their house sauce to Alfredo to vodka. All of it was good. It didn't wow me but I thoroughly enjoyed the evening there. If you are looking for a diverse menu with pretty typical Italian taste then this is a great spot. I would be interested to check out the other side of their establishment which is like a pizza parlor and perhaps try their pizza, pinwheels, and calzones. I'm pretty sure we will he back! read more
