This theater is a little older but still comfortable enough. It has good parking available and it is convenient. The ticket prices are a little less than other newer Cinepolis locations. It works for me.

I'm not too sure how this location is considered a Cinepolis Luxury Cinema. First of all, the exterior of the building is outdated as well as some areas inside. Maybe, management wanted the arcade games in the lobby to revamp it a bit. The other locations don't have arcade games but this one is larger with more movie screens including 4Dx. I guess that's why I've been there a couple of times so giving a star for that. Interestingly enough, there still isn't a button to order from your recliner seat. You have to wait in line to place your order...okay what happened to the lux experience (Smh)?! If you're lucky, they will deliver your food to you depending on what you ordered. Noted, the other locations have a wider selection of menu options. Suprisingly, my favorite wine is sold here and not at the others. Okay, I'll give another star. FYI, the movie ticket prices are a bit reduced here...I might as well give a star given the state of our economy these days. Overall, I'm currently on the fence with this review since I encountered conflicting information about the showtimes for a particular movie I saw there. I went for a matinee and nada.

Here to see Wicked! Talked Hubby into seeing it.

We really enjoy the plush reclining chairs. The only downside is you can get so comfortable during the movie and possibly doze off! The concession stand can be weird. It's hit or miss. I enjoyed my popcorn. And they have the do-it-yourself butter machine. I'd rather have the experts, but the butter on for me, but I survived. They did away with the tiny packets of salt and they now give you a plastic cup with salt in it. So that's kind of weird and threw off my sense of how much salt I needed on the popcorn. Also, they change from popcorn buckets to bags and the butter had soaked through my bag. I think the movie sound system was good and the screen was clear. I like that they have spacious theaters and you don't feel like you are crammed in with everyone.

We came on a Sunday night to watch Frankenstein. We were having dinner nearby and decided last minute to walk over to this theater. There was no line for tickets or snacks, and all the employees were very friendly and helpful. The recliner seats were clean, spacious, and comfortable.

I watched Wicked:For Good here with my sister. I would say among the Cinepolis theaters I've been to, this location would be my least favorite. Some of the sinks in the bathroom stalls weren't working, and there was a funky smell in the theatre. 3/5 for cleanliness. The seat recliners were comfy and not worn out. Service was great as we got our orders delivered to our seats right away before the movie started! The arcade area in the front of the theater is a plus.

Liminal space in the "kid's area"?

Cinépolis Vista Village - A Promising Facade Hiding a Rundown Reality My wife, kids, and I were visiting a friend in the Vista area and decided to catch the new Fantastic Four movie. Cinépolis Vista Village was the closest theater and, on the surface, it looked like a solid pick--food, drinks, a modern arcade entrance--what's not to like? Despite the abundance of negative reviews online, I decided to give it the benefit of the doubt. Unfortunately, the reality matched (and maybe exceeded) the warnings. Upon entry, the theater had the feel of a once-great venue now under new management and barely holding it together--largely staffed by teens who seemed overwhelmed or indifferent. The food and beverage menu was pretty limited, and my popcorn came only three-quarters full. When I went to add butter, the machine sputtered out its last few drops--an oddly fitting preview of the experience to come. The theater itself was decently crowded but comfortable enough. That is, until a mid-movie bathroom break with my son revealed what might be the worst movie theater restroom I've ever encountered. Three stalls were out of order, and the urinals appeared to be... leaking? There was a pool of urine across the entire floor. Not a puddle--a pool. To use the restroom, you had to wade into it. The smell was unbearable, and I honestly felt bad for having to bring my son into that mess. Two staff members stood nearby with mops, but neither showed any urgency or interest in addressing the situation. After the movie, we accidentally wandered into an empty theater room that appeared to have been repurposed as some kind of children's daycare area. I can't quite explain it--dim lighting, no supervision, eerie energy. It felt like a scene out of a horror film. Definitely not a space I'd feel comfortable leaving any child in. Cinépolis Vista Village feels like a theater in decline, relying on surface-level upgrades like flashy games and a bar to mask deeper operational issues. Between the poor maintenance, underwhelming concessions, and absolutely unacceptable restroom conditions, this was not a place I'd recommend--especially for families. It has potential, but only if there's serious attention paid to cleanliness, staffing, and basic upkeep. Until then, I'd suggest driving a little further to find a theater that hasn't lost its way.

    Unsanitary conditions, stained chairs

These seats were visibly stained and appeared unclean, which made it uncomfortable to sit and enjoy the movie. For a venue that charges higher prices--especially for enhanced formats like 4DX--basic cleanliness should be a priority. This situation not only affected my experience but also raised concerns about overall hygiene and maintenance.

    Noticeable damage on the screen.
    Christine L.

This place has really become run down. We went last week to see Wicked: For Good and the screen had some damage so you could see the blemish. I didn't take too many pictures, but the wallpaper was peeling near the junior theatre, the women's restroom had a horrendous odor, the marquees above each theater didn't even work and they just put paper on it with the auditorium number. They obviously are not putting any money into upkeep. It's sad considering how nice it was back in the day.

Ask the Community - Cinépolis Luxury Cinemas

    Do they accept apple pay?

    Yes

What are the ticket prices? Are some days/times cheaper than others?

I think they have some kind of discount special on Tuesdays, but adult tickets are like $15!

When will Cinepolis Movie Theater Vista Reopen?

Its now open Thursday thru Sunday only for now.

I heard this location doesn't have food- but just sliders and regular concession stuff. Can someone let me know since the website and photos on here aren't really clear?

They have pizza, nachos supreme, sandwiches, burgers, chicken tenders and many other items. It's great!

I heard they recently added beer & wine to the menu. How much is a typical beer?

I do not drink so I don't know the answer to that

Does anyone know which one is the Junior one w playground?

The Vista location (as well as LA / Pico Rivera) has a "Junior" kids movie experience. For a $3 surcharge, kids and under-developed adults get a play area and bean bag seating in the front. Children get 20 minutes of playtime before the scheduled…

Does anyone know if ALL the theatres have been upgraded to the recliners?

all except the 4DX theater are now recliners as far as I know. The 4DX have interactive features so you don't recline on them.

This theater is truly luxury where you can order your food and drink right at your seat and they do have actual meals (such as burgers, etc.). They also do have alcohol and cocktails. The seating here is unique where it's two sweaters (great for couples). than the typical long row seating. The chairs are comfy and feels quite intimate to be honest. I would say the only downside is that you know the movie is ending when the servers come to drop off your check so it can be a bit distracting from that. The location is great, with a large parking lot that's easy to get in and out of. I still love the lobby and overall atmosphere. It feels a lot more upscale than your average movie theater, and everything seemed clean and well maintained. The biggest disappointment was the service. We ordered a popcorn refill and additional drinks during the movie and ended up waiting about 30 to 40 minutes for them to arrive. I also never received a receipt at the end and had to stop by customer service afterward. I also have to mention how much I miss the Greek bowl they used to serve. It had gyro meat and was hands down my favorite thing on the menu. I would love to see it make a comeback. I'll definitely be back because I still enjoy the theater overall, but I do feel like the experience isn't quite as good as it used to be.
