Room service was perfect in every way. So why not 5 stars? We love the rooftop bar and that played a huge roll in getting us here. But all three nights we were here it was closed for private events. I hope the events are making them a lot of money, because it can cut into their basic customer base. I will be checking to see if the rooftop is open before booking here in the future. One other small complaint...our room was never serviced until late afternoon when we needed to get ready for dinner. Turn down service (including chocolates) on first day only. That made me sad.

First class all the way, attentive, friendly, and definitely helped out with a last minute arrangement. Is the moxy full of bells and whistles...no! Was our room unique and clean, yes! Was the staff nice and polite, yes. If you grab a spot in the city, by the hustle and bustle of city life, yeah it might be a lil loud sometimes. If you want a quiet place.... Go to the suburbs ‍. We had a blast and we travel around the U.S. and the world. We do Moxy hotels when we are feeling fun and just want a different vibe, and it delivers.

There is no desk space. The shower in the first room was nicer than the shower in the other room, yet both rooms cost the same which was upsetting. All in all, I am not sure if I would stay here again since the beds weren't the most comfortable, but I would come here to experience the roof top bar on a weekend evening.

I ended up being in the North Building and cracked up when I walked into my room and saw I was in one of the Lightwell Lofts (a few of us ended up in them by chance, guess they included them in our room block lol). While the room was super cool and beautiful, there was a lot to be desired. After taking a million photos of the gorgeous room, I quickly realized a major flaw - the bedroom is upstairs, the bathroom is downstairs, and the staircase between the two is a crazy narrow spiral staircase. As someone that gets up to pee in the middle of the night, having to traverse the spiral stairs was terrifying lol. One of my coworkers actually swapped with someone who had a "normal" room because he was worried about falling down the stairs. My downstairs tv wouldn't turn on. I fiddled with the remote a bit, tried rearranging the batteries, but couldn't turn it on. I used the ipad in the room to put in a maintenance request, but no one came. I figured I would just let the front desk know when I headed out to dinner that night. Hours later, the front desk calls me to see if anyone had come to fix the tv - they hadn't. The girl was very nice and apologetic, she said I sent the request in the middle of a shift change and someone had accidentally marked it as complete. So she said someone would be right up, and he did come up. Handed me a handwritten note and a $25 coupon for Coppin's which was totally unexpected and a very nice gesture. Turned out, he knew exactly what the problem was - he said the remote was broken and he was supposed to swap it out but forgot. Gave me a new remote and all was good. He also mentioned there is a second remote upstairs for that tv. After he left, I went to look for it - there was no second remote. We held our meetings in the Scheper Room, which was also beautiful. The room was absolutely freezing the first day and I'm someone that prefers it a touch colder and was uncomfortable. We had to get them to update the thermostat and then in the afternoon it was way too hot. We had food brought in from the hotel and it was all fine, nothing super memorable. There was soup at lunch but the sign didn't even say what it was - just "chef's choice." The Italian hoagies were way too big and needed to be cut in half, I couldn't even finish half of one. The salad with fruit/pecans/etc was my favorite though. They had the completely wrong password on the tables for the Wifi but thankfully we figured it out quickly that we just had to use the room password. The second day for breakfast, there was yogurt on the menu and even on the sign with all the food - but there was no yogurt. Some of my coworkers were specifically asking for yogurt so we had to request it directly because it was included and paid for. Box lunches to take to go on the second day which were fine, I had the chicken caesar salad wrap. Housekeeping didn't come to service my room until 5pm when I was in there getting ready for dinner, so I was not able to get the room serviced. Just asked them for some more coffee. My conditioner in the shower was empty but I didn't bother reporting it after the tv issue and I had my own conditioner with me, so used that. The lotion at the sink was so thick that I could not get it out of the bottle at all, I had to use q-tips to get it out (it was nice quality, just kinda useless if you can't get it out of the bottle lol). Great local offerings on the mini bar and in the fridge. My coworkers and I got a kick out of the "intimacy kits" because we were on a business trip haha. The Magic 8 ball was fun, I loved the conversation cards even though I just read a few of them to myself haha. Even with the bedroom upstairs, it was nice to have the big double closet in the bathroom hallway so I really was just in the loft to sleep and kept all my stuff downstairs. The location is great, lots of fun stuff right nearby. The courtyard is lovely. I would say this is a solid 3.5 stars but since we can't give half stars, I'll give it a 4 because the staff was overall very nice and quickly fixed any issues, just a little annoying that we had any issues at all.

We were greeted by a very friendly hostess, and our equally pleasant server quickly brought menus and asked what we would like to drink. When it was my turn, I happily ordered Coppin's Old Fashioned. I was the odd man out because everyone else ordered the Spring Manhattan. Judging by how quickly everyone's drinks disappeared, I'd say they were all very tasty. I was a little unsure about mine at first, so to make sure the quality and taste were consistent, I ordered a second, and it definitely was not a mistake. I ordered the B+G biscuits (which are made by hand according to server in the hotel) and gravy with an extra egg. Others at the table chose a variety of dishes, including the CVG, Cobb Salad, Bagel and Lox, and several other selections. Based on the clean plates all around the table, everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals. My wife ordered a sample of banana bread, and I was fortunate enough to snag a small bite, it was excellent. After we had all finished, everyone agreed that my niece had made an excellent choice for her graduation celebration brunch. As my wife and I made our way back to Louisville, we both commented that we would definitely return the next time we were in Covington.

The restroom was extremely dirty, so I went to the third floor where theres patio was planning to use the restroom. A man (apparently Jeff) in the elevator continually asked why I was going to that floor. Being a solo female traveler, I ignored him. He kept badgering and asking if I was using the restroom or the patio. I politely ignored his questions. I used the restroom and planned to go back to my room shortly, and the man was still waiting in the elevator and asked "Did you just use the restroom? You know the restaurant isn't opened so you aren't allowed to be on this floor. Why did you use the restroom?" His tone was rude and aggressive. I was so disturbed that he watched me enter the restroom and waited to confront me afterwards. I firmly said to him "I'm a grown woman and I'll go where ever I want. Please don't speak to me again." And he walked away. Initially, I did not know he was an employee so I reported to the desk thinking this was a concerning guest, and they said oh that's Jeff like it was funny. Technically that floor is closed but his delivery was off. I let them know I was unaware of the restroom closure, there was no signage, and the gym restroom was filthy. Additionally, I am a young woman so why is an older man waiting to interrogate me and watch me enter the restroom? It's not like it's his job to provide security to the ladies room. This interaction was uncomfortable and I really hope they take this seriously as no woman wants to feel like an old man is watching every step they take when they're in an unknown place.

Even little things like the rounded diamond signage being staggered in placement feels congruous and shows an attention to detail that could easily have been missed and excused. But it wasn't. Can you tell I really liked it? The only thing I thought was off was that there wasn't a single piece of art in the rooms. The staff were all top notch! Friendly, helpful, and even kept their cool when the computer system went down during check in. They took care of everything. The hotel meets right up to a parking garage and your fees are waived. There is plenty of shopping and dining in the area within walking distance as well. It also appears that more construction is going up in the adjacent lots, so hopefully this place will stick around and maintain its upkeep. I could definitely see staying here again the next time we have a getaway to the Queen City.

The hotel has a parking garage underneath for approximately 100 cars. Lots of columns though so it's a bit intimidating pulling into the space. Check in was friendly and fast. My suite was lovely with a couch and tv space separate from the bed and bathroom area. I slept well in the king bed and appreciated the firmer pillows. No issue with the room other than the sun warmed it up and I needed to dial down the temperature. Thankfully it had cooled off before I returned. Breakfast is not included at the hotel; however, directly across the street is a food hall. Restaurants are onsite as well. Throughout our sales meeting the staff took care of us - from meals, AV and meeting room set up. I'd certainly recommend a group consider this space for an event. Outdoor patios are available as well if a rooftop party is on your wish list. Common spaces were clean and well maintained, including the bathrooms and workout area. There's lots of seating for working and small group sessions. About 10 miles from downtown Cincinnati exits.

The hotel sits on top of a slight hill so the walk up-and-down the hill to the nearby Qwench juice bar was a bit of a task but it sits so pretty. I would definitely recommend staying here on your next trip to Cincinnati.

It's a decent enough restaurant and bar for a hotel and is a great place to meet up after a long day in meetings, or at a conference, or to escape an event.
