I can't say how upset I am, except to show what I just emailed the Cinco De Mayo restaurant "I am EXTREMELY disappointed I just was about to place my 5th order and called in to ensure someone can come to my floor of my building since I have a health issue and was told that even though there have NEVER been issues with my order or building, you cannot deliver to my floor. The worst part is the person lied saying the police doesn't allow deliveries to my building. I do know the law and this is false! Elias, the owner, is always looking for ways to engage with local organizations and community members. Elias is the best! Whenever I'm in the neighborhood, I always stop by, usually to eat the steak quesadillas or steak tacos. The food is really good and authentic! We recently won their weekly raffle so that myself at 6 of my coworkers (could be up to 12 co-workers!) could have a FREE lunch from Cinco de Mayo! At first we was Skeptical but after walking so much and being really hungry we decided to check it out! I have bad news with a happy ending! My lunch that I ordered 20 minutes ahead of my lunch time did not come until 35 minutes after my lunch ended and it was cold. By the time it arrived I had called 3 times in search of my quesadilla! I've ordered delivery and I've sat down to eat here. Both experiences were excellent. I love Mexican cuisine and I could eat it for every meal for the rest of my life. I'm so happy that this place is in the neighborhood. Super friendly staff and the food is tasty. I like that they have chilaquiles and that they serve it all day along with any other breakfast item on the menu. The tacos are great as well. I also like that they are open for breakfast and serve fresh made juices and smoothies as well as the New York staple, bacon egg and cheese on a roll. The service was amicable and the wait for the food wasn't too long. I like hows they packaged everything in good plastic containers. We got a free soda with our order. On to the food: It was OK- I ordered soft chicken tacos for our kids and they were very dry. I got an enchilada (chicken) verde (green sauce) and the sauce was super watery and it wasn't as tasty as other enchiladas i have tasted. Hubby got a al pastor burrito or something like that and it was ok. Honestly the only thing that was reallly tasty and cheesy and juicy was our steak quesadilla. Can you believe that?!
