I'm used to going to Mexican restaurants in California, which I know do not necessarily serve authentic Mexican food, but I like it a lot better than what I had here. I had the three burrito combo with three sauces. The sauces were very watery and mixed together in an unpleasant way. The salsa served with the chips was also very watery. Wow was this awful. We were a bit worried when we walked in at around 7:15 PM and no one was there. We have walked by other times and it is never crowded. The fajitas were over cooked; beans soggy and the burrito was not tasty. We were so disappointed since we are used to really great inexpensive Mexican food in other areas. Very disappointed - not sure if new management. Always ordered from here. Most recent the food took over 90 min, and looked completely different how everything was packaged. Ordered the combo fajita and it came with no sauce (although I had requested it), not sour cream. No utensils not even a single napkin. Just had the worst experience here. I ordered through GrubHub. The app said that it would take 30 minutes to arrive. 45 minutes after placing the order I called them and they stated that the driver was on his way. 1 hour and 15 minutes later I called GrubHub and asked for help. They called Cinco De Mayo and the restaurant told them that they hadn't started the order yet but can have it delivered in 20 minutes. Not only did they lie to me, but they expected me to wait over 1 hour and 30 minutes for my food. They didn't apologize or offer a discount. Do not eat here. WORSE SERVICE EVER!!!!! read more

As one of the only authentic Mexican places in the area, this place does not disappoint. I dined in and ate the LA burrito and the Carne Asada. Both were great, the burrito is enough to fill you up to the brim, and the Carne Asada is even better, comes out steaming hot! The worst Mexican restaurant I have ever attended. Meat tastes as if it came out of a can. The service is atrocious, the host will speak on her cell phone while guests are waiting to be seated. Not just a few seconds but take a seat herself and get comfortable while the guests wait for over 5 minutes !!! Not even a acknowledgment that she will be off the phone soon, and yes, from her gestures these are personal calls. I gave it two stars because when they first opened, the owner was friendly. When they first opened the place was packed. Now it is usually empty. We had two Mexican places open in the last few years. Inexpensive, large portions, byob mexican. Some of the dishes are definitely better that others, but everything is cooked fresh. The salsa is spicy and very very fresh/tasty/delicious. Saw some comments that it was watery, it is thin, but its freshly made with large chunks of tomatoes...one of the tastier sauces they have. rice and beans was weak...but again byob and huge portions make up for some less flavorful items. Ordered from Yelp24 and had the worst experience ever. Order was an hour late, took 4 conversations with Yelp to be refunded. The driver called and stated that she had 2 orders ahead of mine, while willing to give her the benefit of the doubt (and stated this to her). She then offered to deliver the food on her, as she had the food the whole time but that she had 2 other orders. I refused and informed her to send it back. 10min later I received a call from yelp who stated they will refund me and remove the restaurant from their offering. Is there an option for 10-Stars??? I don't know where to begin. This place is amazing!!! We have lived in town for years and never tried it until this past year. Safe to say we order from Cinco De Mayo at least once a week. It is delicious. Honestly, the entire menu is amazing. It is family run and the owners are incredible. You can tell each meal is crafted with care and they always send a great number of chips and the guac servings are huge. Everything is good. My dad is a creature of habit and always gets the beef tacos, I honestly am on my way to having had the entire menu. The empanadas are amazing and traditional full of flavor, the taco meat is also incredible, the guac is the best guac I have ever had in my entire life, I could eat spoonfuls of it with nothing else. My mom has ordered various meals from the chicken dishes to other things. You can't go wrong ordering from here. We always say we want to actually go eat at Cinco De Mayo but always wind up ordering because we are lazy. The inside is so cute and decorated great and is SPOTLESS. I was speaking with the owner and noticed how fresh the food was prepared as I was waiting for my order. You can not go wrong ordering or eat here.
