We love the new location! Excellent menu options and nice vibes. Friendly staff, they are sympathetic about dietary needs and will ask the kitchen if they don't know the answer. The green enchiladas can be made vegetarian (the others can't). Delicious horchata and a good selection of Mexican beers and sodas. Music is present without being too loud to talk to your dining companions. Clean place, soft lighting. Park on the street if you dare, or take the bus. It's a bit of a walk from the B/Q subway. A few seats outdoors.

Small ass quantity for the price, not worth it. I told the lady who worked there about my issue and she was rude as fuck. Never ordering from here again. Their steak is chewy and not well cooked and their mole is disgusting. Wish I can get a refund but sadly paid cash. I will never order from here again!!!

    Mole

The mole doesn't take nothing like authentic mole. It had a thick gritty consistency I had to throw it away because it made my stomach hurt. I want a refund. I tasted mole before and this is nothing like it. Don't waste your time or money here.

Came here for our birthday. The food and the drink were good. Friendly service. Had the mixed fajitas came with rice and beans. My sister had the grilled steak . Not a fancy place but I did enjoy the Mexican music. Had the horchata drink a little sweet but still good .

Just as good as the original Cortelyou Rd location, if not a little better. Those who enjoyed the old location will not be disappointed.

I have a suspicion that lamenting the Mexican food scene in NY is a tired talking point and those who are more in the know know where to get fire Mexican food so it's embarrassing for me to harp on this. So it was with great anticipation that I walked over to Taqueria Maria and Ricardo for what I kept reading was really good eats. While the food wasn't disappointing it wasn't good enough for me to want to return to either. I tried a grilled shrimp rice plate with rice and beans as well as a chicken burrito. I just think everything is lacking salt and oomph, but it was perfectly serviceable. It's a small spot where you pay at the counter and someone will bring your food to you if you set up at one of their few tables. But I think it's mostly a takeout & delivery operation. At least their portions are decently sized.

Muy caliente! The lady who attended me was so nice and sweet that she got our order out pretty fast. Now as for the birria tacos, they consisted of braised meat, some onions, cilantro, side of radish and a cup of beef consume which was delicious. Had tons of flavors from all the spices and seasoning they added to the meat and broth. The meat was juicy, soft to the bite and easy to chew through. Add some green salsa to the taco and boom, extra kick to the meal. 8/10 The mango margarita was definitely sweet and glad I got it frozen since the day just happened to be beautiful. After 2 month of a snowstorm and cold days, i deserved a nice cold one on this beach-ish day. Lovely place, they did add more room to accommodate for more people. Usually Tuesdays are Taco Tuesdays.. at first I craved tacos especially shrimp. But then I saw my favorite Cheese Enchiladas in green sauce, black beans with rice, that's what I ordered. Their menu chicken empanadas were also tasty but a bit hard with a nice chipotle side sauce. Their extensive menu has a lot to offer: birria tacos, burritos, flautas, salads, quesadillas, tostadas and more. Our reservation was for 8:30pm, but we arrived early and Alejandra, the hostess, was incredibly welcoming and accommodating. Even though she was ready to seat us, we decided to hang at the bar until the rest of our party arrived and that was the perfect move. Alkarys behind the bar was top-tier. She recommended the Siempre Reposado, and let me tell you... smooth, clean, dangerously good. If you're into tequila, that's a must. Now let's talk about the food. We ordered the quesadilla, rajas, tamales, tacos, and the queso fundido and every single dish hit. The queso fundido came out bubbling, rich, perfectly melted with that pull you want when you scoop it up. The tamales were moist and packed with flavor, wrapped beautifully and clearly made with care. The rajas had that perfect balance of roasted pepper sweetness and savory depth. The tacos? Authentic, well-seasoned, and layered with flavor, no shortcuts. Even the quesadilla stood out, crispy on the outside with that perfectly melted interior. Everything felt traditional, elevated but still true to its roots. You can taste the authenticity. Service was attentive without being overbearing, the ambiance was super casual and laid back, the kind of Brooklyn spot you pull up to for a real dinner experience, not just a quick bite. Highly recommend this place if you're out and about in Brooklyn. Definitely coming back for the tequila, the queso fundido, and round two of those tacos. I'm gonna try eating at the bar to check out the spot in the front of the house.

The indoor seating is very interesting and eclectic with great Latin American music. Note: between the music & people speaking, it is difficult to converse with others in the restaurant on a Friday night. The service was fantastic coming by frequently and being very patient as the large party decided on what they want. Impressively, all the food was brought out within 2 minutes to everyone at the table at the correct temperature. EVERYONE was raving about their food! I had the steak sandwich (peppers, vegetables, spicy mayo, etc.) with some of the best french fries I've had in ages! I think they were hand cut. The sandwich had a smoky and kicked up flavor. Reminded me of a Chilean chacarero sandwich with the flavor palette. My water was never empty (they refilled often when I was not looking). Portion sizes were huge! Most of us ended up taking our entries home (no one ordered apps). The majority of the table ordered tacos and the fish ones seemed to be the favorite. Everything is priced quite well especially for this part of Brooklyn. My sandwich was only $19! Note: large parties pay an automatic 20% gratuity. Super close to bus lines and only a few blocks from the subway with decent street parking (metered or free). Of course, I biked here and had bike racks right there. I can NOT wait to come again!!!!!
