    Outside vibes with live DJ
    Jas C.

Passes by this place and wanted to try it. It was a nice summer day. Sat outside with my husband and two daughters. They even had a DJ vibes were amazing. The 1800 coconut margaritas was the best ever. I had nachos with chicken , my daughter has nachos with steak and my husband had a burrito. El patron he raved about it. My daughters tried some jarritos Mexican soda. They had passion fruit, never seen that one. The waiter was on point everything was great! Can't wait to go back for date night and no kids lol

Come to Taqueria El Patron for very tasty, very pricey Mexican cuisine. I've had a salad with grilled chicken and steak that was really good. I'm currently waiting on a "crispy" vegan burrito filled with rice, black beans, spinach and cheese. I wanted extra veggies but I'm told that all veggie ad-ins are three dollars per. It's cute inside. Decor is bright and full of festive colors giving all Mexican everything. I work in this area sometimes so I'll be sampling more menu items. Again, tasty food but it's damn expensive. Payday treat

This is the friendliest place! The wings are amazing. I'm enjoying the shrimp. Wednesday karaoke night, no judgement zone! Xox Nadine

DELICIOUS SIZZLING FAJITAS IN FLATBUSH I have dined in and taken out from here countless times so this review is completely overdue. This is my go- to spot when I feel like venturing outside to dine in Mexican cuisine. The service is solid and attentive. Here are my highlights: 1) Good variety of burritos that range from traditional to West Coast styles. I highly recommend the Cinco de Mayo burrito. It always hits the spot for me. 2) Beware the you can get full off the complimentary chips and a couple glasses of water if the company is right. 3) Fajitas are full of flavor and arrive still sizzling at your table. I wish they offered flour tortillas instead of wire corn for this but it's still satisfying as is. 4) Their Bulldogs are GOOD! Try one especially if you need some liquid courage to get you ready for your turn on the Karaoke stage. 5) Their Tres Leche is good though now made in house, it still hits!

Stumbled in for a couple drinks after a day in BK. My friend and I went from Industry City to Smorgasburg to Taqueria for Bulldogs. It was a chill Sunday and this was a stop as we went about our day. When we arrived it was pretty empty and we were seated right away. We order a couple of mango bulldogs and chatted as we noshed on chips and salsa. Originally we were not hungry but I we sat we sat we decide on a couple of tacos (shrimp and fish). The bulldogs were cold and tacos were tasty. Just A Note: If in the area stop by for a drink or two.

After a long and tiring shopping experience at Ikea with a friend, he suggested we get dinner at Taqueria El Patron. This was my first time however, he had been there many times and raved about the quesadillas. We stopped in on a somewhat chilly Friday evening in early June and got seated immediately in their outdoor area. Taqueria El Patron seems to be well liked by the community given the crowd we saw at 9pm. It wasn't full but people were coming in consistently. Our server came over within minutes and shared the menu which features a variety of standard Mexican-American dishes. We decided to start our meal with appetizers - fresh chips with guacamole and salsa. The chips were indeed freshly fried but a few were overcooked. The guacamole was alsi pretty good. It was seasoned nicely and the texture was slightly chunky, just how I prefer. For entrees, I decided to have a chicken burrito. It was filled with grilled chicken, rice and black beans (they also have pinto beans, if you like), with creama (sour cream), cheese, and lettuce. Very tasty! The chicken was moist with good flavor. I also love sour cream with my burrito and asked for extra, on the side which made for an enjoyable meal. My friend had a special quesadilla that included shrimp and chicken along with a side of pico de gallo and guacamole. He offered me a slice and it was really good especially when dipped into the guac. As far as drinks, I only had a soda, so I can't comment beyond that. Our server was kind and attentive. Our food was up within minutes and he checked on us periodically. The outdoor seating consists of an enclosed area on the sidewalk. I really did not like it because it was chilly outside and although it was enclosed, you could still feel the chill. The area could also use a sweep. In terms of pricing, it was a great value. I can only imagine what their happy hour is like. Overall, a good experience. If I were in the area, I would consider stopping by again. It's a nice place for after-work drinks or dinner with friends and family.

We've visited here before, but the latest time we came for brunch. We sat in the outdoor shed which was pretty and comfortable. The service was prompt, attentive, and friendly. I had chilaques from the brunch menu. My spouse had tacos. Both were fresh and delicious. The prices are reasonable.

Honestly very overpriced food but i still love their salad and shrimp. But their Caesar salad was pretty good too its got like shredded chips in it. Their burrito($20) was just ok not a lot of flavor and the rice was kind of hard. Still love their sauces tho.

Greetings and salutations yelpers. Visited establishment for a baby shower. Establishment seem to have multiple rooms and covered outside dining. Only food consumed was the buffet style for the party. Food was ok. It was a bit bland for my liking. I had the passion fruit margarita on the rocks. Also ok on the taste meter. Something was off with the tequila. May try again seems to be it will be good for happy hour. Smooches

Muy buen servicio! Mi esposo pidió unos tacos de birria y yo unos chilaquiles y la verdad tienen un sabor muy rico. Nos atendieron rápido y es un espacio muy bonito y con un ambiente agradable que te hace sentir como en México.

Date with my Bae! Traditional margaritas on the rocks! Deeelish!

We loved this truly, authentic Mexican restaurant! The ambiance was very inviting, clean and conformed to local Covid-19 regulations as far as I could tell. The staff were friendly, attentive, and very accommodating. As for the food, it was very fresh (you must try their guacamole), and so full of flavor! The steak in the "El Patron" burrito was seasoned just right, and so tender. I felt like I was back at my abuelita's home! The margaritas were made just right, and I was blown away when I discovered that they serve authentic Mexican Coca-Cola in a bottle! Can't get any better than this! We'll definitely be back!

I would only come back here for the chips & salsa and the guacamole. I did not enjoy the tacos at all. The grilled shrimp was over cooked and had no flavor. The shredded chicken was probably the best taco option. Our bartender was great though, and the mango and passion fruit margaritas were really good. It's definitely a place to hang out with friends for a happy hour.
