    Chicken bowl

I came here with a group of friends along with our kids. We loved the hospitality of the staff and great service of the bar tender but we weren't satisfied with the food we ordered . We had ordered fish tacos , chicken bowl and a fajita bowl . Honestly, it wasn't exceptional rather mediocre. Taste was bland and I have eaten better Mexican food at a cheaper prices at other places. We ordered Churros with ice cream and a flan. Flan was okayish and churros were very hard. It felt like they werent made fresh and were microwaved . It was really not upto the taste.

Update: today I received bean nachos and they had a live fly inside the food container. This will likely be my final order. Grubhub did refund the food, thankfully.

My friend and I came to celebrate my promotion this week. The food was fresh and hot. The drinks were strong. The service was attentive and on top of taking care of our needs. I recommend this place!

    Cheese enchiladas

This place it terrible. My husband and I just orders about an hour ago, I ordered cheese enchiladas and a bean burrito. My enchiladas are mushy from the water like "sauce". It's not even a soupy consistency it's straight water. I knew from the looks I was going to hate it, but still gave it a chance. I take the first bite and it's all American cheese ! Same thing with the burrito, it was served rolled like a taco so the beans and cheese where all over the place. Since when is AUTHENTIC Mexican food substitute MEXICAN blend cheese or cheddar for America?? There was no true Mexican feel to this food, truly the most tasteless meal I've ever had.

This place is amazing! Take it from someone who knows good Mexican food! The service is exceptional! My wife and I call it our secret location for their margaritas. We highly recommend their super Nachos that aren't on the lunch menu but they make it for us regardless! The chicken quesadilla is mouth watering as well!

Fast and friendly service. Very attentive with fresh food. The soup could easily be a meal all on its own.

Margaritas are great! Chips and salsa aren't that spicy. I recommend the shrimp chipotle bowl!

Excellent food and service. Definitely Tex-Mex but honestly as good as that gets. Very happy to have it in the neighborhood.

First impression - the space is large and inviting. And the staff- one of the most attentive and friendliest places I've been to in Frederick. Not just our server ... but everyone greeted us and saw us to the door. The food was good. I ordered steak and shrimp fajitas and both were buttery tender ( just needed some more spices?) A little pricey in comparison to a few of the other Mexican places we tried. The big miss of the lunch was Valencia Orange margarita... it tasted like tequila on ice. Again, no flavors. I ordered the mango frozen marg and it was the consistency of baby food and really sweet. Even the house chips and salsa - very plain.

I absolutely had an amazing experience with the creamy crab soup! It was indeed creamy and full of crab and the flavor was of fresh crab with spiciness and that comforted creaminess. The tamales were also fresh tasting, a great portion and very flavorful. My partner was not too happy about the flavor of the carne asada. I did notice that it used to come with a dollop of crema fresca and guacamole but this time none were on the plate. I think this maybe the reason my partner didn't find it as appealing as other times. I also noticed we weren't asked if we wanted more chips and salsa. The restaurant did smell cleaner from that last review and the service was good.

We went at 4:30pm on a Sunday night when it wasn't too busy. Our waiter was very nice and came frequently to our table to check on us and asking if we needed anything. You can also make reservations online. Since the restaurant is located in a mountain area, I had no reception or internet. All the dishes we had were pretty good. They start you with warm complementary bread with butter. The filet mignon was our favorite dish with soft meat and mashed potatoes. The sauce was a little sour to complement the meat. The linguini in the seafood linguine was cooked soft so it's good for little kids, but if you would like it more al dente, you'll probably have to let them know. There were 3 mussels, 2 scallops and several shrimp all cooked well. The green beans were cooked so they were still crunchy. Some of mine were a bit too undercooked for me. There as a good amount of meat in the veal and pork bolognese over pappardelle. The noodle were cooked well and long. The Maryland crab soup was part of the daily dinner special. Wish there was more crab in the Maryland crab soup since I saw a lot of vegetables. It was pretty spicy which wasn't noted on the menu. The crème brûlée was cooked very well. Crispy sugar top and creamy inside.

While the garlic sauce was generous and delicious, the quality of the mussels themselves was disappointing. They were all open, but they had that "off" taste associated with older seafood. * The Main: Things turned around completely with the pork tenderloin. It was cooked perfectly and paired with a very flavorful sauce. Highly recommended! * The Dessert: Finished with the coconut cake. It was incredibly moist--perhaps a touch too sweet for my personal preference, but tasty enough that I'd definitely order it again. Overall, a great find with just a minor hiccup on the seafood. We'll be back!
