I really want to give Cino a better rating. The food is not bad! BUT... the service is the worse in all of Bluffton. Have been here 3 times even with the warnings from co workers and previous poor experiences with the service. Just hoping each time it will be better and ill get lucky with a decent server, nope never happened. You will wait and not be served by anyone for 10-15minutes after getting to the table. When the food comes out you will not see your waitress/waiter for the next 30-45minutes. They group at the front and talk and you have to go track them down for the bill, drink refill, or even to get silverware. Unfortunately will not be back. No manager in site. read more

That was a mistake when I ate here again. We all know chicken is inferior to beef but when the chicken taste like a shoe insert I draw the fkin line. If I wanted this level of disappointment I'd ask my parents how they feel about me. That margarita is mid and my ancestors would be disappointed. No amount of patron would make me forget about the fact that the fajitas didn't even sizzle. Didn't know you could dry out shrimp, a literal sea creature. Would rather eat a expired milk chunks. I have loved Cincos for the past two years BUT they are going downhill and very fast at that! I ordered online per the usual because it is normally packed!! Well I showed up a few minutes after my pickup time and they claimed they didn't have a take out order. After pulling up my order a few minutes later the hostess then confirmed that they had found the order and that they would start making it. I really like it here when my bf and I want to see a movie in the same complex, it's a good pre-show dinner. I only give it 3 stars because no matter how much or little I eat I feel disgusting and sick every time we leave. I realize it must be something they are putting on the chips. MSG? I don't know. The chips seems to be sprayed with something that makes you feel full and in the grossest way. After every meal there I've had some "acid reflux" to mention it lightly. On the upside, their fajitas with pineapple and shrimp are delicious, their shrimp ceviche (no onion) is delicious as is their regular and southwestern tableside guacamole. Although, besides showing that the guac is truly fresh I don't understand the novelty of watching someone make it in front of you. It's awkward even without a language barrier, which can be the case most of the time (which is fine). Their frozen lime margaritas are bright green instead of the typical yellow green shade which means (in this case) they taste better than the average token Mexican restaurant margarita. Their coconut margarita on the rocks is also very good. The service was spotty this time. We had three different people wait on us and seemed to forget we existed for the first 15 minutes. We were there tucked away in a cozy corner booth so some flagging down was in order. Other times the service was A-okay. If you skip the chips, I would say yes to going here. When I walked in, 3 girls just stood and started like I was stupid. I had to say hello before them. Then once seated we ordered a queso which didn't even come out until after our meal and i had to remind the waitress about it. Wow. How unfortunate that one bad server can leave such a bad taste in your mouth over an overall environment. Our waitress took a solid 20 minutes to take our order, and she wasn't hiding her distaste at being at work. She was short with us and seemed impatient. We didn't get to order drinks until after our food arrived because she would walk away while we were trying to talk to her. Plus, she put her hand up to shush my friend when she tried to order her drink because "she needed to see" my ID "so wait". She never checked on us after that. I've been to a lot of bad restaurants, but this one takes the cake. The service was awful, took forever for the waitress to get to us, when she did she took forever filling out drink orders. How hard is it to get people 4 waters and 2 pina coladas. Mind you it's slow, barely anyone in the place so what the hell. New review 5-13-18 We're done with Cincos. It's a shame. We're tired of being ignored by staff when we walk in and getting bad service. The last straw was today when we went in to place a to go order. The waitress scoffed and said it would be a minute. She then helped some people behind us with similar ethnicity and then stood there with her back to us doing nothing. It's so blatant, it's ridiculous. It happens with most the female waitresses. Even when we sit to eat, we never see our waitress. We don't understand. We go out of our way to be extra pleasant to the staff and it's for nothing. Good bye Cincos. I really like this Mexican restaurant. The staff are courteous and do their jobs well. Their salsa is pretty darn good with just the right amount of zip. I always get fajitas, I actually really enjoy vegetarian fajitas because it has mushrooms and zucchini in it. Last night we ordered from Uber Eats and it was terrible in many ways. we ordered steak and shrimp fajitas for two and a side of quacomole. I ordered Spanish rice and retried beans with it. We received the steak and shrimp, chips, quac and a small salsa. That was it!!! No  sides, tortillas, or lettuce. I tried to call, but the number did not work. My husband went there and after 15 minutes of no response he went in the kitchen and got the rest of our order. To make it worse the fajita mix had zero flavor. Good food! Felt the one margarita I got was very watered down but the next one I got was great. Service was ok but the food was excellent.

This was the worst Mexican restaurant I've ever been to. I ordered the pick 2 combo, a super burrito with chicken and a super taco with beef. I was brought out a beef quesadilla and a beef enchilada. No where near close to what I ordered. The quesadilla tasted like it was made with American cheese and the enchilada had zero taste. There was no seasonings added to anything. When she brought out what was supposed to be a super burrito with chicken, it was so bland I didn't even eat half of it. We will not be back to this restaurant. read more

This place was awesome when it first opened, the food was amazing the service (the original servers ((mostly male))) were absolutely fantastic, friendly and truly on top of it. This WAS a standout favorite of ours and we went all the time to dine-in and for takeout. The current staff is incredibly rude and blatantly racist... BLATANTLY RACIST. We are absolutely socked by the treatment we have received and received repeatedly.. being told to wait..and then helping, seating and serving (newly arrived) Hispanics, ahead of us, even though, we have been waiting 20-45 minutes. Sadly, this isn't an isolated incident, this has happened every single time (takeout and dine-in).. we have given them so many chances, because when DID love this restaurant, under the original staff, and it's so close to home, but we are sadly just done. Too bad. And we have actually heard similar stories from other people. The owner really needes to evaluate the attitudes and professionalism of their staff. read more

This place's food was " to die for" i got the pork fajitas they were EXEPTIONAL! best ive had in years. My daughter got the kid's cheese nachos there were amazing she said. I have been coming to Cincos for years, and always loved it, and always introduced my friends to cincos too and they've loved it. It's usually where my family will order Mexican food from if we are in the mood because it's usually really good. However, some things have changed. I went in last Saturday with my friend. Upon arrival we were stared at by who we thought was the hostess as if we shouldn't be there? And multiple other workers just looked at us without greeting us or even a smile. We were finally greeted by the same girl who had been staring at us for 5 minutes now, she told us there was a 15 minute wait, and then sat us not even 2 minutes later. Normally we get our food super fast for the most part, but this time all the people that were sat after us, got their food and finished before we even got our food. The waitress kept coming and apologizing but it didn't make sense. The food was good, my order was a little off but I still ate it. Fast forward to yesterday I went on my lunch break with a co-worker of mine as we work around the corner. We were on break so only had about an hour to eat, which is usually not an issue. I ordered a #20 lunch special which is a grilled chicken burrito with nacho cheese, rice, and guacamole salad, nothing crazy. When my order was brought out to me, it was nothing that I asked for. I got a stuffed pepper, hard shell taco, and beans, all things I don't eat, hence why I didn't order it. Our server was no where to be found so I told another server and she went and got him. He was rude and asked what's the problem? I told him this is not what I ordered and told him I wanted a #20 and I didn't know what I got, maybe someone else's order? He said no you ordered a #2 and I said no, which he'd know had he written anything down. He was angry at me for being mad I didn't get what I ordered? Very strange? He walked away and came back and said ok, so here's the deal, I'll bring you a chicken burrito since that's the only thing different from what you actually got, and me not trying to be a Karen and worried about the time I had left on my break, said that's fine, even though the two menu items aren't similar at all. They let me keep the plate of food he had already brought out even though I told him I don't eat any of the things on that plate, he even said he wouldn't either because he does not like spicy food. I'm not sure why they did not just bring me a new plate of food, with what I actually ordered? We were the only people in the restaurant. They brought me a shredded chicken burrito with red sauce on it, no rice. Again, incorrect. I ate it, it was ok, the chicken was dry, which is why I never get shredded chicken and why I ordered grilled to begin with. Then, they still charged me full price when I did not even get what I ordered, and only ate the dry chicken burrito. I still tipped bc I'm not a Karen, but I won't back for some time. My family and I have been eating here since it opened. Service has always been bad. Food is ok to good. Went today around 6:00 had a line waiting to be seated. People in front of us said they have waited for 15min and no one even said hello or be with you in a min. 10min later someone with a frown on their face dragging her feet said be with you in a min. Another 15min passed had empty tables all over which needed cleaning. Every table I could hear complaints. Ordered large guacamole. Never got it. Ordered one chili reanuo and one chicken caso. Was going to get takeout as well but gave up on that. We Went in at 6:00 left at 7:59pm. I had finally had enough and asked for manager. She comes over"the one dragging her feet" and said waiter is new. I told her No he was hustling. It was obvious the kitchen was making mistakes and they had not had enough staff and never trained their staff. She could care less and said well we feel like we do a good job. I said ok if "you feel" the customer does not matter then I'll take my business elsewhere next time. Couple of tables clapped in agreement. If it was not the fact the food is ok, we always have a staffing issue and a lag in Service. Place was dirty also. I never complain like this openly. My oldest son said, dad let's try that new Mexican place by our dentist. I said ok, so on a Friday night at 7:30 pm we drive over. We are greater by a friendly enough hostess, and we're quickly seated, but before we even get settled into our ginormous table, our waitress shows up asking if were ready to order drinks. I'm with my 8 year old son, and my 14 year old is on his way from the car. I tell to give me 5 minutes. No less than 2 minutes pass and she's back. I tell her nicely that we want time to study their gigantic menu. When she comes back she wants our drink order, so I tell her in Spanish that we want time. Before she leaves though, I do ask her in perfect Spanish if the food is better than the pictures on the menu? She didn't answer me. When we were ready to order, I ordered the fresh Guacamole, strike one! It's served in a small tortilla bowl, which is placed on this huge plate, and served. It was left all by itself to swim on this plate,with nothing to stop it from sliding all over the place. As a chef,I would have placed it on something a bit smaller, and I would have somehow garnished the plate, and surely I would have seasoned the guacamole. We ordered our dinners, my oldest son had a cheese only quesadilla, (it was laden in grease) I still can't figure out why there was so much oil on his plate. The Exxon Valdez oil spill left less oil. My youngest want the corn dog from the kids menu, as he was eating it kept saying it tasted of plastic. After hear him talk about plastic, took his hot dog and took a bite. And there it was... the hot dog still had its plastic casing on it. (You can't blame the restaurant for this) I'm sure they bought their corn dogs frozen, so the manufacturer missed on dogs casing. I made him stop eating it and asked him to work on his fries. Strike 2. As for my dinner, I ordered the Carnitas, if you know anything about carnitas,you know it's like a confit of pork... chunks of pork slow cooked in its fat so as to make the pork extra tender a full of flavor. The pork was tender, and had some good flavor, but it was the driest pork I had ever eaten. The rice had very little flavor and had peas, and what looked to be like Lima beans or edamame in it. Again it needed seasoning! The beans were pretty good,but we're slathered in cheese. The food came out in like less than 10 minutes, that's good! But for a Friday night, I'm not so sure they had the numbers this place needs to survive. Our waitress seemed a bit bored,because she was at our table about 6 or 7 times in the 45 minutes we were there. There are so many real mexican restaurants here in the Bluffton/ Hilton Head area that are so far ahead of this place. With food like this,a menu whose pictures look like the were put together by a Chinese restaurant, and an over bearing server. This place won't be long for the auction block.
