    Short rib nachos

Food and service at the bar are consistent. Love the atmosphere here and will definitely be back! We had a sampling of apps- short rib nachos, potstickers, parm truffle fries and chicken tenders. Everything was delicious!

The sign says it all. They do have a GREAT prime rib dinner. I've gad it a few times.

The prime rib and seafood is always my favorite here. Prime rib so good I could actually eat two

Meh. A bit of a mixed bag, but overall I was supremely underwhelmed. The Good: - The place is nice. The interior is clean and well apportioned. The deck was nice for outdoor dining. - The server we had was great. Friendly, quick on the service, etc. The Bad: - The menu is 1) sparse and 2) oddly priced. Again, I don't like places that have appetizers that cost as much as entrees. Also, I HAAAAAATE places that give chips as a side with your meal, and you can upgrade to fries. +$3 at ol' Telford The Ugly: - The food was pretty bad. We got a bunch of apps, because we went at lunch time and there were like 4 lunch options. (No one is going to eat a damn chicken pot pie at noon on a Wednesday, especially when its 90 degrees outside.) We went with Onion Rings, Crispy Chicken Bao Buns, Poutine and Chicken Tenders. The onion rings were tiny slivers of onions, with a pound of GREEEEEEEEASY breading. Neither of us could taste the ONION in our onion rings. The bao buns weren't soft enough to be bao buns, and cracked and crumbled as we ate. But the taste of the chicken was at least ok, with the Sriracha Honey they put on. The poutine was GROSS. First, it didn't appear to be cheese curds, but just melted cheddar. Secondly, the gravy tasted like the powdered gravy that come out of a bag, and was INCREDIBLY salty. The chicken fingers surprised in a few ways; first, it was like SIX chicken fingers, which was the only positive. Or, it WOULD have been, if they weren't gross. Secondly, they were heavily breaded as well, and the breading took over the taste. Third, they come to the table dry; no sauce, nothing. We had to ask for honey mustard after the fact. The 4 apps, one beer and one iced tea came out to $61 before tax. Definitely won't be going back

We were meeting some friends in the area and they suggested the Telford Inn. I liked the coziness of the dining area inside. I could see having some nice comfort food in the winter here. We ended up eating outside on the deck area, looking off over the roadways. They were far enough away to not feel like you are on the road. We ended up splitting the Prime Rib Sandwich. It came out and almost looked slightly larger than a slider sandwich. Although small, it was very very good. Our friends got a burger, short rib Mac and cheese and a chicken wrap. All the portion seemed small, but the food was good. We enjoyed it, but it just seemed pricey for what you got.

Telford Inn is a very well decorated and the ambiance feels classy but casual. The service was great and our waiter was very nice and patient. We ordered 2 apps to share. The sweet potato fries were cooked well, it was sweet and crunchy. They paired well with the sweet and savory aioli. The crispy bao buns were okay but cost as much as an entree. They were coated in a sauce that were inspired by Asian flavors (more like Korean fried chicken) which made the chicken lose its crunchiness. The cabbage was helpful in making it feel well balanced and less heavy. Honestly, would probably skip over it next time. As for my turkey wrap, it was just underwhelming. It was kinda dry, it either needs more mayo or some sauce on the side. The wrap felt like it tasted more of lettuce than turkey. It came with a side of chips which weren't great. I would've preferred it came with fries. Overall, less than average tasting American food for an average price.

Excellent greeting from the hostess! Our server was superb! The bathrooms were very well kept! The PEI Mussels were tender & plump! I had the 1812 Burger! Cheddar beer sauce, and caramelized onions plus bacon The local craft beer was excellent

Last time I ever get food from here. Food is usually good enough when dining in, always subpar when getting take out but that's to be expected. This is another level. This was supposed to be a wedge salad with a $14 rib cap steak, ordered medium. There was more shredded cheddar than bleu cheese, no dressing, and just tossed in a box. Steak was 2.5 oz. So nasty I lost my appetite. Straight in the trash. My wife was too grossed out to eat her food as well. Deserves 0 stars. Do better!!

Good beer and a long history with many locals. The prime rib sandwich is a solid foundation here and worth at least one good visit.

The ambience is really nice but has a lot of different things to look at inside. It's very cute and very tidy and even the restrooms are really cute and very clean. I met with a couple girlfriends and we split a couple dishes. We started with the matzoh ball soup and the crab bisque, which were both delicious and very flavorful , next..... we ordered the turkey burger, which was delicious and we got a side of mixed fruit, which was great and another dish we ordered was the blueberry pulled pork, which was delicious, and they can also do it gluten-free. We did order a side of french fries that was a huge portion and they looked like fresh cut and the skin was on the fries and everything was full of flavor and very fresh. We all agree that we can't wait to return and try more things on the menu. A lot of their dishes they can do dairy free or gluten-free. It was really great to have these options in place everything was very flavorful. The service was excellent and it seemed like they had a couple people that were training and shadowing other servers, but everyone was really chipper and really sweet. It is a hidden gem and the parking lot was really awesome so that we could park securely, but the town looks very walkable and really neat. I would definitely love to come back when I have more time. It was a pleasant location and I waited for my dining partner standing outside an older looking building, which I thought was a nice venue for a restaurant. But, then I saw my dining partner's car turn into a driveway or street or parking lot. a few buildings down from where I was. Surprise. surprise they were going to the right location. I just parked in the extra parking lot. not the greatest start to an evening's dinner. However, once I discovered the real restaurant, I found that we were eating at a quaint quality dining location. the menu was interesting with some very simple choices. However, I was disappointed to find out there was no soup of the day just french onion and their matzah. Service was prompt and friendly, which you always want when you dine out. Well that was until we were encouraged to leave because reservations were coming in (We had finished dining And we're just conversing so it was not that troublesome that we were basically told we had a couple of minutes to get out of the restaurant.). Our dinner options were a salad and pasta, I chose the small portion of pasta based on the waitress's recommendation and she was right. The food was all really good, which will probably lead to a return visit. The Blueplate appears to offer many interesting options with music and other activities. So kudos to them.

This is a great place. Let's get that out of the way right off the bat…read more Finding The Classy Cow Joint felt like a mix of dumb luck and divine timing. I actually knew this location from a few years ago when it was a Jamaican barbecue spot a coworker told me to try. I went once, everything was really spicy, and I never went back. Fast forward to a couple days ago--I get a menu in the mail with this cartoon cow on it. Didn't think much of it. Then I'm over at Berkeley Liquor Store (which is one of the nicest liquor stores around), and I notice that same logo on the building. Still thought it was the old place. Later that night I actually read the menu, and that was enough for me and my wife to roll the dice and give it a shot for lunch. Very glad we did. Ordering was a little awkward at first--not totally clear if it's counter service or table service. It's kind of both. But once that sorted itself out, everything else hit. Food was excellent. We both got pulled pork sandwiches, just different styles, and they were massive. The kind of sandwich that makes you slow down halfway through and still not finish. Exactly how it should be. Atmosphere was fun. A little loud from people talking, but good energy. Solid music in the background. Now, I always order wings anywhere I go. I used to own a wing sauce company, so I've had wings just about everywhere. Most places mess this up--either too hot or just lazy. What stood out here was the honesty. When my wife asked for mild wings, the waitress straight up told us they don't really do mild--it's basically hot sauce. No fluff, no sales pitch. That alone earned points. So we switched to the barbecue wings, and they were excellent. End of the day, this place delivers. Good food, honest people, and a spot that somehow flew under the radar until now. Definitely recommend checking it out.

Even made my own a few times, thinking I had it all figured out. But then I walked into The Bank Bar and had my mind completely rearranged. The place itself? Perfect. It's got that old-school, no-nonsense vibe with just enough charm to let you know they actually care. You walk in, and it's like the place has been waiting for you--dark wood, a little history on the walls, and that unmistakable smell of something incredible happening in the kitchen. The kind of place where you know, deep down in your soul, that good things are about to happen. And then came the sandwich. This roast pork wasn't just good. It wasn't just great. It was the best roast pork sandwich I have ever had in my life. No exaggeration. First bite--boom--instant revelation. The pork was juicy, packed with deep, rich flavor, and shredded just right, like it had been slow-cooked by someone who truly understands patience. The roll? Oh man, that perfect balance of crusty and soft, holding everything together without stealing the show. Then you get hit with the garlicky, herb-loaded bite of the greens--sautéed just enough to still have a little bite, but soft enough to melt into everything else. And the cheese? Sharp provolone, the kind that makes your taste buds wake up and pay attention. I sat there, sandwich in hand, just nodding to myself like some kind of roast pork prophet. Every bite was a reminder that this is how it's supposed to be done. It wasn't a meal. It was a life experience. If you haven't been to The Bank Bar yet, fix that immediately. Order the roast pork. We enjoyed a pre-dinner drink at the bar, and we were so impressed by how friendly the bartenders were. They were engaging and social. They set off our evening on a high note! My Pink Jaguar cocktail was beautiful and caused quite a buzz among the bar patrons! We opted to sit outside, and we are glad we did. The space is open and breezy but fully covered. We arrived around 3:45 PM without reservations and they immediately took us to an open table. Iced Waters were instant. Our server was very pleasant and she took our order. Bread quickly followed with two types served: Italian with sesame seeds and focaccia; however I was puzzled that it was served with a plate of hot peppers and onions in a juice. It seemed off but perhaps it's a Jersey thing. I've been all over in Italy and have never seen this. Olive oil would have been fine along with a splash of balsamic vinegar. Either way I skipped bread condiments. Next came the Fried Tomatoes topped with Lump Crab as an appetizer, but once again I had another head-scratcher, as this dish wasn't typical. First the entire dish lacked seasoning plus salt. Then red tomatoes were used and we all know what happens when you try to fry one. It turns to water after you cut it. The lump crab is what probably made this dish pricey but 3 thinly slices of a red tomato caught me off guard. Now for the final knock out: I ordered the Bone In Pork Chop and impressed that I was asked how Iiked it prepared? I said 145 degrees. She said, you mean well- done. I stated no, that would be in a range of medium. Lo and behold, it was fantastically preparation temperature, but it came topped with the same peppers and onions concoction that came out with the bread. I had no idea that this was a smothered situation. My broccolini was also a mystery. The mashed potatoes were mid. Now on to my daughter's chicken Parmesan: She said that it lacked flavor and had to add salt and pepper and also stated that the sauce was loose and there was too little of it. My wife enjoyed her Salmon. Jersey is cooking differently!!!!! I forgot to add: Underneath of my pork chop I discovered a mysterious piece of corn. I had no corn in my dish??????
