Such a disappointment....We have been loyal hamburger hounds for many years. Our Sat night burger/steak sandwich meals were NoT good. The meat was lacking taste, the buns were cold and tasted stale , the fries were over cooked and not fresh and hot. My husband's mushroom Swiss burger was really bad. The cheese was not melted and the mushrooms were mostly cold. The house chips were the only good thing served. No chili or soup was available either. It was not very busy and a huge disappointment. We had bad fish meals a month ago and now the burgers are in the same category. 20/30 yrs of Mr Cinders has come to a very sad end. Something is terribly wrong. read more

The waitress was quick to take our order and bring the appetizer out along with our drinks! The burger I ordered was the Jack-inferno. It came with sides of the bang bang sauce, and a Jack Daniel's sauce. The burger itself was super greasy but it was good. This is a good spot for a quick and tasty lunch! Been here a handful of times now and service/food has never been consistent. The first time I had the food from here it would have been 5 starts. The burger and fries were cooked perfectly. The service was awesome and the whole experience was a great restaurant experience. Every subsequent time no matter if I dined in or got food to go the food has been pretty average. The burgers are better than average usually and probably because of the charcoal grilling that adds some flavor but the fries and other deep fried appetizers and super greasy and unappetizing after they sit for more than 2 minutes. The service seems to tend towards the "ugh people I have to serve because they came in during my shift" wait staff and it comes across in their attitudes when you order or ask for something customized. All in all this isnt a bad place to get a meal. The food is USUALLY good and sometimes even great. If you like a charcoaled grilled burger you should definitely give this place a try at least once but avoid the deep fried appetizers. read more

Trying to support local business, but it is impossible to do when things are this bad. Thursday steak sandwich special, nothing special about anything but maybe the pickles on the plate, Can not screw those up. Ordered sandwich medium, COOKED to drink coaster well done, was ice cold, butter did not even have a chance to do anything but stay solid on the STALE Manderfield bun that crumbled when held. I do not understand the praise that bakery gets. not good. Server asked how everything was, I said it sucks, she laughs at me, and continues walking away. NOT one refill of soda, NO offering of more welldone in the fryer too long french fries that are suppose to be unlimited. NOTHING. Covid should of put this place out of it's misery. Used to go here before the remodel and they had really good burgers. Went there with my fiance and kids the other night and it just wasn't a good experience. Ordered drinks, my water had something floating in it. No big deal, could happen to anyone. Ordered our food, I had BLT, he had a "Ribeye" sandwich, and our son had chicken tenders. Took well over a half hour to get our food. Server never stopped by to say anything or check drinks. Finally food comes and was quite mediocre. My BLT was ok, nice toasted bread. Bacon was not microwaved, which is good because some places actually do that. Bacon, however did not have a lot of flavor, they should get a different brand. Lettuce tasted pretty bad. Not the best or the worst one I've had. His "ribeye" sandwich was pretty much a chopped steak patty, not a slice of ribeye. It may not have even been ribeye, who knows. He said it was ok, but should have been advertised as chopped steak. On the way out, by the register, they have the specials posted. The most horrible place to post the specials, at the exit. I would have had the chicken special, if I knew about it. Overpriced for what you get and very slow service. We will not be back. read more

We were in town for the Special Olympics basketball tournament and decided to eat here for lunch. Service was extremely horrible. It was 30 minutes before the first of five of us received our food. The rest of us were served literally 10 minutes apart. It was far enough from campus that it wasn't packed. There was no reason for my daughter to be served over an hour after we were seated. The only reason they get one star is because they took the drinks off. Don't even get me started on the fact that no one wanted to wait on us in the first place. Went there because there really isn't any place that does ribs in town that doesn't have horrible reviews already. Got a full slab of baby back ribs, cheese curds, fries, and burgers. Burgers seemed to go over well, although they slather soooo much butter on the bottom of the bun I won't be surprised if I take someone to the ER with a blocked artery tonight. The fries, well, soggy to say the least, but they were eaten, and the cheese curds were very bland, no flavor at all. As for the ribs..... I can do better at home myself. They come out of the fridge in a package, put on a plate, covered with saran wrap, and microwaved!! What type of place calls themselves a "charcoal grill" joint and microwaves ribs???? Needless to say, they are hitting the trash after a couple bites. Sour bbq sauce, and tough meat, there is no way I would call these "famous" unless we are talking about famously BAD. All in all though, fairly friendly staff, quick service, seemed to be a decent atmosphere. Fairly pricey though... 50 bucks for three burgers and a rack of ribs is almost as bad as a family of five at texas roadhouse, all eating steak. read more

Tried it twice and I'm not impressed at all. Greasy food, and the steaks are fatty. Went in on one of the hottest days of the year hoping for a nice cool place to enjoy steak... No a/c!!! Sat there and sweat my rear off to have a below average meal. Watching the rest of the staff running around sweating all over everybody else's food certainly didn't help either. I have loved Cinders food for years; used to go the one near the freeway on 9th Avenue. I went to this Main Street location on Tuesday. I had the Tuesday special which was a T-bone dinner. I realized the steak would not be stellar for the price, but that was ok. However, the steak I ordered medium came well done and extremely dry. It had onion rings on the top and they were soggy and tasted like fish. I ordered the criss-cut fries which I have always loved, but they were gross, soggy and tasted like old grease. The salad was awful, all the white hard parts of iceberg lettuce, large pieces, not even cut up, and I wasn't given a knife to eat with. Thoroughly, thoroughly disappointed. CHANGE YOUR DIRTY GREASE. Disgusting! If I could give negative five stars, I would. The franchisor would be appalled. I will not return there, but will miss the food they used to serve. read more
