Great place! Unlike most places inside the loop, this place knows the definition of customer service. When a button is broken at other places, they just blame you. At Cindy's, they replace it. It isn't a that hard, but most businesses take the easy route instead of doing what's best for the customer. Great prices and a good attitude. I recommend them to everyone. read more

I've tried a lot of cleaners and Cindy's is by far the best. I was amazed they were able to remove a wine stain from my "WHITE" silk summer dress. I was referred to Cindy's Cleaners by a coworker, as I had always gone to a different dry cleaners in Midtown but recently moved to a different part of town. I also had several pairs of dress pants which needed alterations. I tried Cindy's for the first time and had my dress shirts laundered, dress pants dry cleaned and also altered. Needed to get a white formal dress cleaned, because it had numerous dingy spots on it. I was originally nervous about dropping it off, because it had lots of delicate beading and jewel work around the neckline, and I've had bad experiences with dry-cleaning formal items before. Picked it up, and it was spotless! Great quality work, no chemical smells, and my dress looks like new. Total cost was $21, which I thought was a fair price for the delicate nature of the item. HORRIBLE!!! You could not pay me to use them again. I spent over $200.00 here and I regret it. I moved here from NYC and Cindy's is right near my apartment so I decided to go there. I always get all my winter clothes properly cleaned before I put them away for the summer and I came here with a bunch of sweaters,coats,dresses,etc. The cleaners did a horrible job and there was pet hair or some kind of hair all over the majority of the coats and it was not there beforehand. I WAS NOT IMPRESSED WITH THE QUALITY! SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GO ELSEWHERE. The Asian woman at the counter needs to be educated in customer service. She was sweet when I walked in and dropped off my stuff but the minute I had a problem she turned into a nasty woman. NEVER AGAIN!!!!!! read more

I'm disappointed that I have to write a poor review of Cindy's. For the past 9 months I had received only excellent service. However, last month they damaged leather buckles on two jackets I sent to them for cleaning. Both jackets had been cleaned multiple times previously at other cleaners, and I never had this problem. After bringing this problem to the store's attention, I had to keep calling them for nearly two weeks before they offered me a credit for the cleaning of these two items. One employee was very helpful during this process, but two other employees were unpleasant. This experience was so negative that I will not be returning to Cindy's. read more

I used Cindy's during my entire time in Houston (about two years) and thought they did an excellent job. They were always friendly and provided great customer service. I have been a customer of Cindy's Cleaners for several years. I dropped two (2) pairs of pants off for regular dry cleaning on a Wednesday toward the end of April, and was supposed to pick them up that Friday. It was Monday before I could stop by again, but when I did the lady at the front desk let me know they could not find either pair. She assured me they would do their best trying to locate them by checking the plant, contacting customers with similar names, etc. I patiently waited for several weeks, calling or stopping by on occasion to find out if there was any update. After close to a month passed, they offered to pay me for the two (2) lost pairs of pants. I sent them an email regarding the brand and style of pants that were lost (additionally, Cindy's Cleaners records the brand) and how much they retail for. The pants were Brooks Brothers, Regent style which retail for $168/pair plus tailoring and tax. Assuming two (2) pairs of pants the total is around $407 including the tailoring and tax. I offered at that time to accept a lower price based on what the pants were currently on sale for at Brooks Brothers so they (Cindy's Cleaners) did not pay more than necessary to replace the pants. I followed up with them several times and was finally notified on Monday morning there was a check waiting for me. I went by to pick the check up and was disappointed when I saw the amount of $200.00. I tried reaching out to the owner, Michael, but he did not answer and his VM simply states to hang up and send him a text message which I did. There have been numerous text messages sent back and forth since Monday disputing a "fair" amount for the pants. Michael never once answered my call or called me back - instead he always opted to send text message claiming he was driving, in meetings, in the field, etc. I purchased the pants late 2014 - first registration in Cindy's Cleaners' system was October 17, 2014. Michael asked several times for proof of purchase, receipts, credit card statements, etc. none of which I have. In trying to substantiate his offer, he sent me a copy of a graph from the International Fabricare Institute Fair Claim Guide to determine the "value" of the pants taking into account depreciation based on the age and life expectancy. He claimed the "average price for the Brooks Brother's pant is around $100 more or less". He then pegged my pants at 13-19 months old, gave a new value of $125 per pair plus tax for a total of $270.62. He then depreciated the value of the pants by 60% for a total of $108.25 based on this guideline. Michael said that is the best he could offer and would include two alterations ($35 value). I responded and asked him to just provide a check for the $200 he originally offered and we could put this behind us. He then replied $140 with no alteration credit is the best he could offer. My blood was boiling at this point and I really just wanted to be done dealing with Michael and Cindy's Cleaners so I accepted the check knowing it won't even cover half the cost of two new pairs of the same pants Cindy's Cleaners lost. While this is my first experience dealing with a dry cleaner losing or damaging an article of clothing, I have discussed with many people who have run into similar situations but at other dry cleaners such as Men's Wearhouse, Twin Oaks, Carol's Cleaners and others, and all have been treated very well by the cleaners and received a new replacement of whatever article of clothing was lost or damaged. I will never return to Cindy's Cleaners. Michael still never returned a single phone call, instead hid behind text messaging the entire time, which tells me a lot about someone. Customer service and taking care of loyal customers isn't valued by some business owner s any more. read more

I went to this dry cleaner, although the San Felipe location, after reading positive reviews about the service and prices. I wanted to get my wedding dress cleaned before my wedding. The dress was not expensive, and it's not really dirty, but I felt like it had been hanging for a while and was probably dusty, so I just wanted it to be fresh for the wedding. It's not even a fancy dress, but the person there said it would be a minimum of $150 to clean it. What happened to the $35 the other person paid? So I haven't actually had anything cleaned there, that's why I gave them two stars. Maybe they do a good job if you're willing to fork over the big bucks. read more

I've lived in Sisters for 24 years and finally decided to try local. My son was married Aug 21- almost 2 weeks ago now. I took in both my dress and husband's pants and shirt. I went back today to pick them up (they close at 3:30 which isn't convenient at all with a teacher's schedule) 3 days after they were supposedly finished. Only husband's garments were there. I informed the gal that there was a dress too. She was like, "no, you just brought these two things in"...I was like, "no"...etc. A tall younger, hipster guy took my three garments Thursday of last week. She knew him to be Tyler. Wasn't sure what to do. I gave her a description of my dress. I emailed the main branch in Bend when I got home. Sitting here thinking about it, I wish I hadn't paid for the cleaning of the other garments since I am missing the dress that I wore at my son's wedding. I searched high and low for that dress and it was one that I was planning on wearing more than once. AND as a side note, the other gentleman in the office brought back his shirt he just paid for 2 minutes prior and his nice button up was destroyed, discolored, almost looked like it had melted wax all over it on both sides. I'm hoping they come through and fix this. There is a reason I don't support local. Bigger is often better for a million reasons. Lesson learned. read more

Dont worry about the price of getting your clothes cleaned here. It is worth it. Best customer service ever. They care about your clothes. If there is a problem they will fix it with a smile. I've tried out cheaper cleaners and got bad service. They have the best service here. Your clothes will be in good hands, and they will do anything possible to keep you coming back. read more

I have been using Cindys Cleaners and am very satisfied with their service and prices. I have found them to be at least 25-30% less than my previous cleaners. They provide a personalized bag which allows me to drop off my cleaning without having too wait for the staff to receive my clothes. I recently needed a suit cleaned and returned on the same day and it was waiting for me when they said it would be there. Although I don't use it, they will pick up and deliver your cleaning in their service area. I highly recommend Cindys Cleaners. read more

If I could give this establishment zero stars I would--they are openly hostile to customers who don't look rich enough. I drove there after reading their website, which promises "professional stain removal" and says they assume liability for your clothes when in their care. I walked in and an Asian woman--maybe Cindy, maybe not--in a fancy sequined cocktail dress stared at me, did not smile, and asked "you been here before?" and said she could not promise anything before Friday. Ok. I showed her my two dresses and she immediately said that she could not promise to get the stains out. Now, I have heard this before, but usually the cleaners get them out anyway. She was really, really adamant, though, that she could not promise anything. Probably said it twenty times. By this point I was really losing confidence in the service. My old cleaners in TN just did the best they could, and they were nice about it. I then asked her how much each dress would be. And. She said "six, seven dollar." That sounded suspiciously low, so I asked if I could pay upfront. She said no, the computer will not allow that. This woman did everything she could to discourage me, so I took the hint and left. In the parking lot I noticed my vehicle looked more modest than the others on the lot. I also pass for younger than my actual age. I wondered of her rudeness had to do with the fact that I might not appear as wealthy or established as their typical customer. Maybe I would hurt their image as a fancy place. I certainly don't wear sequined cocktail dresses at 12 in the afternoon. I ultimately dropped my dresses off with a service that charged more but let me pay upfront--it's nice when they don't try to ransom your property. They also promised to do their best, but made it sound like they actually will. read more

Having moved to Houston from Austin recently, I was very skeptical about trying new cleaners. I was so comfortable giving my clothes to the same person for 5 years, that it was difficult to trust a new one. So I would travel back every other week to Austin with 2 bags full of clothes to get it dry cleaned from my favorite person. I got tired of driving back and forth so decided to give local cleaners a shot. Well, Cindy's happen to be the closest to where I currently live and i decided to give it a try after reading several reviews on Yelp. I am so very disappointed. I am not a person, who takes time to write reviews unless it is absolutely necessary. Well this is one of those times when it becomes necessary to warn people about shoddy practices. Not only did they charge me an exorbitant fee ($90 for 10 pieces of clothes), they did not dry clean my clothes at all. I just took the plastic covers off of my white jacket and it stinks of food and smoke and looks very dull. It almost feels like the cleaners didn't do anything to that jacket except press it neatly. The same goes for a skirt which had 2 little curry spots (trust me curry spots can be easily removed with washing) that came back just as is. I decided to give the skirt to the cleaner coz it is made of linen and needs starch and a good ironing. No starch, no cleaning except for good ironing is all that they did. I will open and check my other clothes and see if they did anything all to it. All in all, I am very disappointed and maybe will travel back to Austin to get my clothes dry cleaned from my trusted cleaner, till i really get comfortable with someone who you can trust with your expensive clothing. read more
