Great service from some friendly ladies. They wrapped all my Christmas gifts in short order and they looked great.

Well organized store. Easy to locate items, reasonably priced and friendly and helpful employees. A definite asset to the shopping mall.

I found Paper Caper on Yelp here and noticed one of the reviews mention their gift wrapping service. Of course, I came into their business looking like a typical man in gym clothes, completely out of my element in this type of store. I looked more like I belong at a sporting goods or outdoors shop. Regardless of my appearance, I walked through the threshold and was greeted by what would seem your prototypical seasonal music and decor. The store had pleasant Christmas music playing and the smell was something out of Ms. Claus's potpourri lounge. The young lady I approached at the counter was polite, courteous, and to the point. She answered my questions about gift wrapping and offered multiple variations and ideas. I came away with a pleasantly wrapped present with a cute little bow for one of my wife's Christmas presents. I even gave the lady a warning that I'd be back with other presents. Through all my warnings, she smiled and said kindly that that would be no problem whatsoever. The time and value of the service and product offered is good. I'll be happy to come back again!

I really can't say enough good things about Chris - she was super knowledgeable, helpful, and patient in consulting which variety of lavender would best suit the space I had in mind and my use case (low maintenance and only needing one trim a year). Since she runs the place by appointment only, I first called then emailed with more details of the space I was trying to fill and what I was looking for. After some back and forth, I made an appointment to stop by, look at specific varieties, and pick out some plants. The day of, she went through the different families of lavender and helped me narrow down to a specific variety, looking at the dried cuttings from last year as well as plants in her garden. She also had plenty of other hardier medicinal plants available including multiple types of mints, thymes, rosemaries, and other herbs. All the plants are very reasonable priced and I couldn't be happier with my experience. It's very clear that Chris has a passion for her plants.

Come here for the best selection of lavender varieties, the best lavender products like sachets, wands, and lotions & potions, and best of all... an opportunity to view how lavender grows, feels and smells in the garden. If you're anything like me, you need to see plant varieites in person, not just in your favorite garden design books. I can't make a decision on what's going in my garden unless I see how someone else has implemented it. Located in a residential setting, parking wasn't the first consideration when designing the layout of the farm. If you or someone you're visiting with has mobility issues, try dropping them off near the entrance before parking. The gravel path has a gentle grade and can pose risks for those prone to falls. But don't let that deter you from visiting the crown jewel of lavender farms in the area!

Jewelry by local artisans mingle with bottles and cans of hard cider, beer and wine. Immediately I noticed the beer type bottles containing Pinot Gris from Coopers Hall, a local taproom. What a fabulous idea for bottles in the go. Don't even get me started in the adorable cat toys! Not your everyday Crayola crayon colors found at pet stores, but soft muted sage, gray, cream, pale blue colors that go with your home decor. In cute Portland icon shapes like doughnuts, fish and even a bag of toys shaped like tortellini for foodies like me. Seriously, adorable! The hand crafted ceramic coffee mugs and bowls were equally functional and art to brighten your space. A corner dedicated to music is in the back right part of the store - they sell their music and offer recording options. Yep, you heard that right. Reusable bags, beautiful canvas totes, cotton long and short sleeve shirts with various sayings, soaps, lotions and bath bombs. For Foodies There Jacobsens's Salt, Oregon Toffees with every add-in combo, jams, gourmet chocolate and more! A section with books on Portland and OR trails with treats for campfires, candles, stickers, travel mugs in plaid - they have curated a fabulous collection! The interior is so pleasing with the white walls and light wood geometric display shelves car creating a mid century vibe. Customer service was warm and friendly, offering assistance and background info on the store. There is another location downtown Portland and one on SE Hawthorne. How have I never stumbled upon Tender Loving Empire before? I'm a shopper and definitely their demographic. Will be visiting all of the stores frequently!

I've shopped at many different Michael's locations in many different states and they're all pretty much the same. Parking was plentiful here and not one shopping cart incident the whole time. Most of what they have in stock reflects the current wants and tastes of the local community. My husband was looking for macrame supplies and I guess the good people of Tualatin aren't much into macrame. Aside from some cotton cord, supplies were none existent. I, on the other hand, was looking to spruce up my fireplace mantle with a more coastal theme and needed some sea stars and large seashells. There were no sea stars to be found but I did score a decent size bag of beautiful seashells. Good sizes and varieties, and perfect for my project. At checkout there was one register open and the person being helped was having issues with her gift card (of course!). The salesperson said three employees had called in sick that day and we were welcome to use the self-checkout. Both of us being strong Union supporters, we declined and said we'd be happy to wait. When we finally got to the register, the woman gave us 25% off just for being so patient. Thanks!!!! I'll continue shopping online but it's nice to know Michael's is still there and hasn't gone the way of JoAnn's...yet.
